{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name: Lucas Gabriel Bennett Age: Seventeen Gender: Male Year: Seventh Face Claim: Paul Wesley
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: Lucas has been blessed with an average face, nothing remarkable, but he is definitely not ugly. He has dark grey-blue eyes framed by thick lashes and eyebrows. He also has a very square chin, and that makes him sort of unique because most people that he see’s around these days are people with long pale faces, while he has a square face and a sort of dark complexion, almost bronze looking. He has high check bones, which he is very proud of, because his mother had the very same ones, and he actually loved his mother, and found her very beautiful, so to get something as good at that from her really lifts his spirits, however looking at facial features, everyone always says that he looks a whole lot like his father.
Physique: You would not want to come across Lucas in a dark alley merely because of his size. He is a tall guy, taller than most, and so it gives him that superiority over some people. Though Lucas is definitely far from fat, or over weight or any of that non sense, he has a rather high mass which makes him rather athletic. Because of that he enjoys sports, and always has because unlike some people, his body does not slow him down in a process of action. An advantage is his long legs, so if he had to run away, or run to catch up with someone, Lucas would be able to do it rather quickly because having long legs usually result in advantages like that.
Wand Type: 12.5" Yew, Dragon Heartstring Wand Expertise: Lucas’s wand is longer than average, with a flexible and long-lasting wood. Dragon Heartstring is a common Ollivander core. His wand is ideal for jinxes and hexes. Patronus: Lucas’s patronus is a Fox. And what qualities does a fox have? Well they are describes as sly and quick, they as slick and cute but shy away from things and are highly independent, and truth be told Lucas is rather similar. To conjure this difficult charm, Lucas has to think of his happiest memory, which would be when he was eleven and got his letter to Hogwarts. Until then, he knew nothing of magic, and finding out that he’s a wizard, just had him jumping from one corner to the next. So, getting enrolled in Hogwarts triggers his patronus.
Boggart: There are a few things that he is afraid of, but isn’t everyone? There usually is more than one thing to be scared off, but his main fear would be crowded or really small and tight spaces. He can not breathe in such, but maybe that’s called claustrophobia. That is his biggest fear, when he is in spaces like these, his breathing becomes very irregular and then he fears of death because there is no way for him to get his breath back. To him that seems pathetic, and to others too, but having a fear such as this should not be violated. Personality: You could not call Lucas Bennett a trouble maker, quite the contrary really. He behaves, does his homework, avoids trouble and that might make him a bit boring. However, there is a personality under all that. Lucas is rather mysterious and likes to keep to himself. He is independent, not accepting help from anyone, just trying to work through things by him self, to set him self challenges that he may or may not be able to complete, however he is as stubborn as a mule and if he gets a help offer, he will refuse, and that makes him really determined. He is determined, he likes to get things right as much as he can, and will work really hard to reach such goals.
His determination likes to get Lucas into trouble, and when he refuses help also. Of course the boy needs the help, but he is too stubborn to admit it, and so his grades aren’t as high as they could be. Even though he likes to keep to himself, he is like any other teenage guy. He likes sport and ladies, though he can be rather uncomfortable around them and other people. Lucas is very clever and witty when he has to be. His school speciality is charms, he loves the spells, and he can do them rather well. The Dark arts fascinate him also, but he does not have any intentions to pursue them, or try to learn them knowing what had happened in the past.
Under that entire independent demeanour, Lucas is actually a softie. He likes animals, his absolute fascination being Dragons. He is planning, when he finishes school, to pursue a career that made him work with the little devils, and that goes into his liking of adrenaline. Dragons give him goose bumps, and make him sweat, but the curiosity about them never ceases to amaze him, which brings us to another factor of Mr Lucas Lestoat. He is a very curious person, and that is not always good. It’s like the phrase of ‘curiosity killed the cat’ and he had a sneaking suspicion that something similar, if not the same, might happen to him.
Like any other guy, he likes girls. Sometimes he is too shy to talk to them for his own good, but he is a romantic. He had had several girlfriends since first year, and every time he had been the perfect gentle man. However, there are guys who had more girls than him, but to Lucas that doesn’t matter, all that matters is that he likes them, and treats them the way ladies should be treated, he had been brought up as a gentleman, and his dad would be disappointed to see Lucas go off that path, and not be the gentleman that he was taught to be.
Sure he has a romantic and sweet side, but Lucas also has a feisty side. No one would expect it from the way that he keeps to himself, but Lucas, if triggered the right emotion, can really get angry and take care of himself. He had never been good at controlling his emotion, or taking well to bullying and being made fun off. You might think that there would be no reason to pick on someone like him, however when you’re as quiet as Lucas as, they always find something to laugh at and point at, and that’s when his anger comes, especially if the teasing is from purebloods about his muggle parents.

History:
Mother: Janet Marie Bennett Father: Jonathan Leonardo Bennett Brother: (Older) Drake Armando Bennett
Born into a muggle family, Lucas or his parents didn't know anything about magic. Janet and Jon weren't very rich muggles, but they could cope with a second child, though with difficulty. They weren't in poverty, and his parents had to be thankful for that to his grand parents. As well as being born into a poor family, Lucas was born as a second child, his brother being two years older than him. As a baby, Lucas really didn't know of what was going on, but as he grew, his parents were honest enough not to keep the situation away from him or Drake, and so they grew up knowing the price of money, and how to save it and only get a treat once in a while, if ever. They knew the real meaning of money, and so he grew up as a person that respected it, and knew the real value.
Lucas was a loved little baby, as well as charming. He had always had a loveable stance, and people always complimented him. As he grew up, his appearence grew also, he wasn't that little kid anymore, he was eleven years old and pretty good damn looking, at least he thought so, while other people had different views on the subject. Even when Lucas was a little kid, he kept more to himself, and because his brother was so much braver than him and more out going, they paid more attention to Drake, and Lucas felt less loved than him. That seemed to be a common problem, but Lucas didn't know of that, and getting his letter two years after his brother, he was excited to leave.
However, like very little kid, he felt really attached to his parents, hence the reluctance to actually leave when he really had to. But Lucas was a brave little boy also, so he just swallowed and left, while his brother just laughed at him. See, the thing was, that Lucas didn't really get along with his brother, Drake always teased him and made fun, so he felt really lonely, not having anyone. As well as that, as the years passed, Lucas still was lonely because he didn't have many friends. He was just too independent for such things, and he had trust issues also, though he had no clue where that came from, and because his brother was putting him down so much, Lucas was even more determined to show him that he could do things without his silly help, and prove that he was as good as anyone
Lucas passed his whole time trying to get the best grades he could, and make his parents more proud of him than Drake. Of course, Drake was a clever boy also, so mostly they matched in grades, and sometimes that brought Lucas's anger out also. He always had to prove himself, while Drake could always do it at the snap of his fingers, he could always get a girl, have lots of friends, while Lucas was almost like the outcast. So, he was really excited wehn in his third year, he actually spoke to a girl, and they ended up dating for a while, that might have been one of his happiest times, and since then Lucas had a couple more girlfriends. but never for long, because he was just so boring, and he just figured that his destiny was dragons, and not girls.
Sample Post: (from another site) James didn't know why he chose this particular place to talk about Potions notes, but he strangely felt that the Clock tower was calming, and so there was a lot less chance that he would lash out at the girl that he had gotten, unfortunately, partnered with. He held his potions book on the inside of his left arm, and ran the other through his longish hair, making it slightly tousled. He didn't want to do this, he knew that Eva was trouble, but all the same he was rather looking forward to seeing her. He didn't like her or anything, he merely found her attractive. He let out a soft sigh, secretly craving a cigarette but he was sure that one of the portraits would tell him off, and that wouldn't do too good for the reputation that he was trying to hard to uphold, that he was a good boy, if a bit mischievous, but good none the less.
His shoes didn't make much sound as he made his way to the stairs that would lead to the place. He was sure that he would end up there before Eva herself, so he did not hurry. The Gryffindor knew that he probably should have arranged to meet in the library, but this seemed like the better place for him. He knew that libraries were meant to be quite and all that jazz, but the Hogwarts library really wasn't. And the librarian was just a pain in the arse, and he was ninety-nine percent sure that Eva didn't like the library either, but there he was, assuming once again, maybe he was completely wrong. The Potter boy sighed, assuming always got him into trouble, and it all sucked. His opaque green eyes shifted towards the windows, and the light blue sky. It wasn't late, he wasn't breaking the rules or anything, but he had a feeling that this would be rather uncomfortable.
Upon reaching his destination, James pushed out his hands on instinct, and touched the door with a slight push. The boy had always wandered why everything was behind doors, and he was glad that this one wasn't locked. When the door opened, he walked in the few short strides, and glanced around the familiar surroundings. It was sort of dark, and dull, but the clock made it look better. It looked dull in a magical kind of way, which James appreciated. He knew that most people never appreciated that sort of thing, but he was one of those rare guys. He walked over to the corner, and glanced at his watch. He was early, just as well, getting here before Eva. Maybe she'd be late, maybe she wouldn't show up. It wasn't hoping, James was merely thinking. He threw his books onto the floor, and walked towards one of the windows.
He glanced out to the grounds, and could see almost everyone out there. Well, most of the first years anyway, that were excited by the winter. People his age, mostly sulked inside, and did nothing that would benefit them later, and he didn't know why he had arranged this time. He told Eva he's owl her, and so he did. Though he asked her not to reply, he just wanted to see if she would actually come. He wouldn't care if she didn't, he guessed that it would take all of the awkwardness away. Though, if she did show up, James hoped that Eva wouldn’t be late. The one thing he hated was tardiness, but he knew he couldn't really count on that.
