How to Write your Character's Journal
It is optional to post a diary thread for your character on this board, but it is encouraged.
You may have one diary thread for each character you play, so a maximum of three. Like with roleplay, you may only make a thread for a character that has been accepted.
What you write in your diary must correspond in part or in whole to roleplay threads you are in at the moment. This means that if you have a onexone roleplay with someone in say The Three Broomsticks, you can write in your character's diary how they feel about the meeting, and what happened there.
So, your diary will also act as a record of events throughout your character's year, not just their thoughts and feelings on paper.
Please link to the threads your diary entries correspond to.
You may use picture's in your thread, in the example below, I used pictures of Cillian Murphy (Tory's celebrity) in moods similar to Tory's when he was writing the entry. You may use any images within reason, that have anything to do with what your character writes.
This is Tory's introduction and first entry.

ENTRY ONE
August 31st
Dear Diary,
So, another Summer Holiday has come and gone. But of course, not just any Summer Holiday; my last. Christ, every time I think about the fact I'm facing my last year of Hogwarts, my stomach ties itself in tight knots. There's so much expectation on my shoulders I can hardly breathe; I have the most important exams of my life approaching more quickly than I can keep an eye on them and I have the prospect of severing so many ties - with no guarantee of forging any new ones.
A life without Trsiel, Abbie and the others? Not worth thinking about.
It's a huge world out there and my parents are expecting me to make so much of it. It wouldn't be so bad if every time I thought of a relaxed year, the image of my disappointed parent's faces didn't come swimming into view. All I want to do is wave my wand and poof! I'll be back in my first year again - whole school career in front of me instead of behind.
Everyone I've been writing to are talking about how they are so glad that their time in school is nearly over. I just agree, pretending I can't wait to leave Hogwarts as well. I mean - how can they think like that? They're leaving their home of seven years - didn't they like it here? Don't they feel the same way as me about the place?
I haven't told anyone else how I feel about it all, I really wouldn't know where to begin. It's nice to have at least you to get these these sorted with. Sometimes you just need someone who doesn't judge or answer back.
I have to go now, I have plenty of packing to do before tomorrow.
I'll write again as soon as I can, hopefully the day after I get back to Hogwarts.
~A very dejected,

Please don't try and get ahead of yourself with your entries, roleplays that take weeks can span just a couple of days. Give yourself room to modify but don't just make up the ending of your roleplay threads in the meantime. That's a form of powerplaying.
I'm sorry if you're very familiar with the concept of Character Journals and I've just bored the eyeballs out of you, but I just wanted to make everything clear.
Have fun!!
