That's right! ISS is going to have its very own Slug Club. This will be both an OOC and IC organization, of which there will be sixteen student members to be switched out every year or due to an inactive/deleted character (this is an exclusive club, remember). Some places may already be reserved due to canon, which, sadly, we won't be able to alter. We've tried to add a few more spots to accommodate this. (: Acceptance to the Slug Club will be based on a first come, first serve basis, according to the app you've written as to why your character should be part of it (if you're not canon). There will be monthly IC-club meetings in Slughorn's office/the potions classroom, for which all characters are required to attend. If you're in the Club, you're proud of it, and you won't miss out on a meeting or else you may get kicked out! Even if your character has detention, Slughorn will pull some strings and get you out of it. The only acceptable excuse is if you're very ill! Remember, this is an honor, and you won't want to miss getting fawned over by a washed up old man. (: So, sign up while there are spaces left! We'd love to have you. <3

Character's Name: Emmeline Vance
Character's House: Hufflepuff
Reason for being in the Club: Honestly, Emmeline has always wanted to be a part of the Slug Club, or really, any club that's remotely exclusive. She likes to belong. As to why Slughorn would want her; well, she gets particularly good marks in every subject, and has never dropped her average below an E. She always raises her hand in class, knows the answer, does well in tests and alwayssucks upmakes sure to be extra nice to teachers. Even though she was raised by muggles, she's a pureblood, from a relatively smaller family, when compared to others, the Vances, and, though this is from her step-parents' doing, is exceptionally rich, which might interest Slughorn. C'est tout.
Character's Name: Daciana Gamp
Character's House: Slytherin
Reason for being in the Club: Why wouldn’t Slughorn want to collect a member of the ‘pure, proper, and proud’ Gamp family? Especially the more poised and intelligent of the Gamp siblings (let’s face it, even Demarco’s best of friends knew he was a goof-off). Daciana was no genius, but she was no dolt either, and with her constantly good grades in Potions, it wasn’t as if Slughorn could ignore her – the fact that she was in his house was a plus too. Besides, anyone who is anyone knows that the Gamps are well-off and well-known in the wizarding community; a long-time wizarding family high up on the proverbial list of prestige. Really, her father is the product manager of Honeyduke’s (after her father’s father, and his father…), and she gets owls and owls of free Honeyduke’s sweets mailed to her from her father and the perks of his job. The Daily Prophet even did an article about Reinhold Gamp and the success he brought to Honeyduke’s. And it’s not like it’s a secret that she gets tons of sugary products all the time (you can’t hide those sorts of packages) and that she’ll give some of said confectionaries away when she’s so inclined (because no one needs that many calories). In Daciana’s not-so humble opinion, there was no reason not to collect the pureblooded girl and – with both prestige and wealth within a pureblood name and access to loads of free candy – who could refuse? Besides, another feather in Daciana’s own cap couldn’t hurt.
Character's Name: Fehlandt Alexandre Zabini
Character's House: Slytherin
Reason for being in the Club: Fehlandt is the full package and should be in the Slug Club for all the reasons the pureblood old rich families don't want him to be. The Zabini family has become a household name practically over night. The very definition of neuveau riche, the Zabninis are the largest retail providers of dragon hide in the greater wizarding world. They're extravagant, extroverted and eccentric. Fehlandt's pure wizarding bloodline dates back further than half the families at Hogwarts and he's his own force of nature. People know who he is -- be that good or bad -- and he is following in his father's footsteps. He gets good marks but, more importantly, he throws the best parties at Hogwarts and livens up the worst. Because of his parents', Fehlandt has connections just about everywhere from high end clothing designers to the higher-ups at Gringotts. If his parents and his social standing at Hogwarts is any indication, Fehlandt is bound for great things in his future and anyone else in his immediate presence.
Character's Name: Aiden Neeson
Character's House: Slytherin
Reason for being in the Club: Aiden is your stereotypical pureblood son. He was raised in a strict household under the proper pureblood ideals, looks good in a tailored suit and knows how to appropriately carry himself when the situation calls for it. But what makes him stand out is that while he isn't exactly book smart (Slughorn knows this first hand from how he struggles in Potions), he knows how to manipulate people to get what he wants and that provides for seamless maneuvering through social circles. On top of that, Aiden is a very promising quidditch player. He's been a beater for as long as he can remember and has a knack for showy moves and tactless decisions that always seem to pull through at the last second. Aiden has every intention on moving on to play quidditch professionally (for the Quiberon Quafflepunchers, if he has any say in it) and can practically taste the independent fame and fortune awaiting him outside of Hogwarts.
Character's Name: Imogen Sauveterre
Character's House: Ravenclaw
Reason for being in the Club: "Sauveterre" may not be a well-known pureblood name in the UK, but it is in France. Half the family made their riches by raising Granians; the other half were seamen. The Sauveterre family isn't as stuck-up and snobby as some purebloods (though, the inlanders might be) but they are an old, well-to-do family, so they do have some influence - in France at least. That's not to mention that Imogen's elder brother, Simon Sauveterre, was once a personal trainer for players on the Falmouth Falcons Quidditch Team, and just recently tried out for an open Chaser position and made it onto the team itself, so Imogen would definitely have some inside information on the Quidditch League. Other than that, Imogen is a bright girl. She may be a fifth year, but she's been known to dabble into sixth year work in her spare time (she especially has a talent for Ancient Runes) and is in all twelve courses offered at Hogwarts, and doesn't have less than an E in any of them. She doesn't suck up to professors, but she does have her favourites for her own reasons, and definitely is more relaxed around them. Slughorn would be a favourite, of course, because of his sweet tooth, good humour, and flair for dramatics that amuses Imogen greatly. She currently has an O in Potions, and is an active member of the Advanced Potions practice, so it's not like she wouldn't be in his good books anyway. Imogen's reliability and intelligence make her a good, dependable, model student; why wouldn't Slughorn want someone like her in the Slug Club?
Character’s Name: Alessandra De Luca
Character’s House: Gryffindor
Reason for being in the Club: Alessandra comes from a very wealthy background. Part of that comes from her Muggle father’s highly lucrative—and secret—business as a mafia don. The other part, however, comes from her witch mother’s inheritance of the Ballantine wine company. By now, Ballantine wine has developed a good name among wine connoisseurs, Muggle and wizard alike. Anyone who compliments it would be likely to receive a bottle or two as a gift from Isabel Ballantine De Luca, at the suggestion of her exceptionally generous daughter. In addition, Alessandra is fond of tossing out compliments and would very likely be somewhat flattering to Professor Slughorn, which he probably wouldn’t mind in the least.
Character's Name: Benjamin Burke
Character's House: Ravenclaw
Reason for being in the Club: Even though Benjamin probably wouldn't have exactly stepped forward and asked to be in such a club, he's still definitely one that stands out. Although he has a rather quiet demeanor, Benjamin, true to his House, is an exceptional student. He's intelligent without being too arrogant and, although he's not the type who raises his hand to answer every question, he does occasionally take initiative and answer those he views as the tougher ones; so while the spotlight might not always be on him, he's not quite lurking in the shadows, either. He's in quite a few activities, including Advanced Potions club, Quidditch and the Hogwarts Herald. Also, although he's only just recently found out that he is related to the Burke pureblood family, the 'Burke' name is well-known anyway, so it's not completely outrageous that he's assumed to be a part of it anyway.
Character's Name: Gracie Marlow
Character's House: Gryffindor
Reason for being in the Club: Gracie has metamorphmagus and is exceptionally talented at magic. She isn't happy about being in the Slug Club, but she decided to join for the extra points in potions that it gets her.
Character's Name: Anandani Aeknov
Character's House: Ravenclaw
Reason for being in the Club: Honestly, Ana doesn't really have much going for her except a nearly perfect grade report the past seven years of her life, plus Quidditch, plus being a Prefect, as well as her involvement in other clubs. She sort of gets around; not particularly intentionally, but she has a wide range of interests. Ana will always speculate what exactly coaxed Slughorn into inviting her; her potion-making talent could have been one of them. She just loves Potions class, and although she doesn't participate in class discussion willingly, it seems he calls on her when no one else has the answer because he knows she actually pays attention and studies. One time he stumbled upon her while she was practicing playing the french horn, a fascinating muggle instrument of music he had never seen before. She asked if he had any song requests and he did, so she played them up immediately, which was positively delightful. The thing that finally did it, she speculated, very well may have been the time they literally bumped into each other in the hallway one night while she was making the rounds; she had been reading one of his favorite novels, which resulted in a 45-minute long rather excited conversation at 3 am in a deserted hallway. Although she doesn't come along with the pureblood prestige like many of his other dinner guests, she is a fabulous conversationalist when she needs to be. She's just a pleasant young lady.
Character's Name: Serena Evangeline Lovelace.
Character's House: Slytherin.
Reason for being in the Club: “Um, hello, why wouldn’t Professor Slughorn want me in his exclusive little society? I’m a walking Pureblood dictionary and he knows that as well as I. I know everything about anyone who’s anyone, and now that I’m going to take over the tabloid I’ll be known all around school as the most popular and socially knowledgeable girl ever, obviously. All the girls will want to be my friend, all the boys will want to court me – so it’s totally, like, beyond realistic that Professor Slughorn would be able to make use of my skills. I’m special, we all know that. I’m also good at practically everything and I’m near the top of my class, and I’m sure Professor Slughorn, as head of Slytherin, is aware of that. Honestly – I have to wonder, why haven’t I gotten an invitation to this group sooner?! I suppose he can’t let everyone in all at once; perhaps he’s merely putting me to the test, you know, seeing how resilient I am (which is very, by the way), how I handle disappointment, if I am a true Pureblood lady. I am younger, after all. It’s possible he needed to validate my maturity. Well, now he has. I am a real lady in the making, Vivi said so when she taught me to kiss, and even Cissa Black looks at me with a smile, and that has to mean something, doesn’t it? Rita Skeeter herself entrusted me with the tabloid, since she’s graduating this year and needs to pass it on – why, I am one of the lady-est ladies of the school! I am respectable, I don’t have a disciplinary record, I’m an active member of the Slytherin Quidditch team, and my mother says I am of prime marriage stock. Professor Slughorn has to let me in, he just has to. I deserve it, don’t I?”
