→ Pierre Scham & Olivia Thompson !
Pierre and Livy. Livy and Pierre. Oh. my. gosh. What haven't Skar and Joojie done with them?! I'm serious, it's always been such a roller coaster with these two, but you know what? We wouldn't have it any other way, because it's been amazing. Pretty much as soon as these characters were created, I think everyone figured something would be going on here purely due to the fcs (I mean, srsly, its's Zanessa!) but did they rush them together like most people might have assumed was the plan? Anything but! I can't applaud you guys enough for the relationship that you've created and developed here with these two. You've put them through hell and back, and yet you've used that perfectly to show just how much they really care about each other, even when they're constantly at each other throats. Because you see, it's not as if true friends never fight with each other, I think we can all agree that that's a bit of a ridiculous method of judgement. The fact that despite how much they argue, Pierre and Livy continually make-up and try and work things out? In my mind, that is what shows what friends they really are - because they matter enough to each other to keep on coming back, keep on apologizing, keep on trying. They're worth it. And as if that wasn't appeal enough right there, we've got the fact that Livy's been crushing on him for years - and recently even told him so in a very dramatic way. The amount of tension and drama that that adds to their relationship is simply incalculable, and I know that I'm not the only person who can't wait to see what's coming next for these two - and who's been saying that forever! Because there's always something new, these two seem to have the perfect balance of one step forward two steps back, two steps forward one step back that keeps them progressing and keeps readers constantly on the edge of their seat, wondering when the hell they're ever going to just get together and be more than friends?! If they're ever going to just get together and be more than friends?! ...No seriously, tell us, we want to know! XD
--------
Meet Olivia Thompson. She's bubbly, energetic, adorable, nice, and so caring to the point that it's almost a fault. She gives of her heart so fully that it's a wonder how she hasn't gotten herself in trouble over it. She's innocent and goofy and just altogether happy.
Meet Pierre Scham. He's sarcastic, lazy, adorably pessimistic with a habit of randomly popping up with words of wisdom when no one really asks for them, and he's so guarded that it really is a fault. He hides his heart so completely, afraid to let it out there again after an ex-girlfriend pretty much stomped it to pieces. He's jaded and awkward and just altogether different in a very, very refreshing way.
Now meet Joojie and Skar. The idiots who decided that these two polar opposites should be best-friends-with-maybe-feelings-for-each-other-well-okay-feelings-for-each-other-but-Pierre-needs-to-grow-a-pair-alread y-and-fess-the-fuck-up-but-I-digress. When we first met Pierre and Livers, all anyone saw was Zefron and Vanessa Hudgens and, immediately and admittedly, we all went, "Well, duh, they're gonna get together."
And then Skar and Joojie took us on the ride of our fucking lives.
Their threads are fiery -- they explode with all this energy the way chaos only can. They're like the warm and cold fronts coming in to form a tornado; when they get together it's dangerous and adrenaline pumping and so fucking addictive that I need to go to Pierre-and-Livers rehab. It's never boring though -- how could it be when Livers is throwing shoes at Pierre's head, or when Pierre's silver tongue is slicing Livers' heartstrings -- and ours, come on -- and yet, yet, sometimes... sometimes it's like we catch them in the eye of the storm. Like the hurricane is just a moment away, but for now it's calm. They're hugging and talking and being the best friends they claim to be. Their friendship is so refreshing because it's so unbelievably real. It infuriates me because it reminds me of all my own infuriating, stubborn, shoe-wielding friends, and it warms my heart because it reminds me the reason why we're friends in the first place:
Because we love each other.
And they do, Pierre and Livers. They love each other so much that it's the entire reason why their friendship is sometimes so painful to read. Because underneath all the animosity and the exchanged words, the fact of the matter is that they wouldn't know what to do without the other.
Pierre and Livers deserve this award because their friendship -- the chaotic, feverish, mess of a friendship -- is exactly as it should be. Real, raw, and so damn heartwarming you can almost forgive Pierre his pigheadedness.
But, seriously, dude, just fucking tell her already.
