1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? "Perfect"? I think I'd rather just be happy and content and with people I love, and who love me. Adding "perfect" to it just adds the pressure to maintain that perfection. 2. What is your greatest fear? My father coming back into my life, and me falling for his "perfect daddy" act again. 3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? It's impossible for me to pick just one. 4. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Self-righteousness, when taken to the extreme. Seriously, people who bother me about telling the tiniest lie deserve a jinx glare. 5. Which living person do you most admire? I know I should probably put some great world leader or a person who promotes a global positive change, but I can't admire a person that I don't personally know. I'm going to say Violet Stevens, because I've never met anyone as delicate and beautiful and wonderful as she is. 6. What is your greatest extravagance? I'm not really sure I'm understanding what "extravagance" here is supposed to mean, but I'll give my answer a shot anyway. I suppose I could say my dog, Gratis, since technically he's a registered pureblood and is worth quite a handful of money, but my aunt and uncle gave him to me. And I luff him. 7. What is your current state of mind? Joyful. 8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Honesty. What can I say? I don't mind a little lie every now and then. 9. On what occasion do you lie? Does there need to be an occasion? Hah, I think this question would be more suited for me if it asked me on what occasion(s) I'm honest. 10. What do you most dislike about your appearance? My breasts aren't anything to brag about. 11. Which living person do you most despise? My mother. 12. What is the quality you most like in a man? Patience. 13. What is the quality you most like in a woman? I like it when other girls are social, because it becomes so much easier to talk to them. 14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I think I could stand to tone down my swearing. I do say "Hah" an awful lot, if that counts. 15. What or who is the greatest love of your life? I've never been in love. I feel this question is mildly biased. I'm only sixteen; I can hardly be expected to know what love is at this point, anyway. 16. When and where were you happiest? As much as I love school, I think the happiest I remember being is the night I found out I was a witch. I was too excited to sleep, so Gratis and I sneaked out of the house to the sheep barn. There was a small hill directly behind the barn, and Gratis and I used it to climb up onto the roof, and we sat there all night just looking up at the stars and I was just so, so happy to think I was special and wouldn't be near where my parents could be anymore. Nothing's beat that feeling yet. 17. Which talent would you most like to have? This will probably sound very cliche, but I'd love to sing. I mean, evidently I sing to myself when I'm baking at home or when I'm doing homework at a decent hour, but my voice isn't exactly stellar. I figure if I'm going to sing without realising it, I should at least have a decent voice. 18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I think I'd like to be a smarter person. 19. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Hah, I don't know how I did it, but getting out of my parents' house alive is pretty damn big I think. 20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? Do I have to come back as something or someone else? I'm not sure I'd want to come back. I just think I'd be fine with the life I already lived, and wouldn't have to do it again. 21. Where would you most like to live? I would love to live in another country for a while. Maybe Greece. 22. What is your most treasured possession? I don't have one. 23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? When I'm consumed by guilt. 24. What is your favorite occupation? Healer, easy. 25. What is your most marked characteristic? I can admit to being a shameless flirt, hah. What? I like people. 26. What do you most value in your friends? Their happiness. 27. Who are your favorite writers? Hans Christian Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, J.M. Barrie 28. Who is your hero of fiction? The little mermaid. Even though I don't necessarily like her accepting the sea-witch's offer - marry the prince, or die - she did it becaus she wanted his love. She tried her hardest to win the heart of the prince. And when he was going to marry another, she was given another option: she could turn back to a mermaid and live if she killed her prince. But she was too pure to take his life, even though she was heartbroken. I know it's not the perfect story - far from it - but it was my favourite fairytale as a kid. 29. Which historical figure do you most identify with? Eh. None. Sorry? 30. Who are your heroes in real life? Probably the paramedics and doctors that helped me out when I was ten. Duh. 31. What are your favorite names? This is a bizarre question. Well, I like my own name. I chose it, after all. Er, Wendy, not Winnifred. I just got lucky with that one. 32. What is it that you most dislike? When people yell at me. 33. What is your greatest regret? Never speaking up as a kid. 34. How would you like to die? Fulfilled. 35. What is your motto? Interesting question. Hmm. I don't have one. If you live your life by one single little motto or generalisation, doesn't that kinda limit you?

I wish I were a little like her. 28. Who is your hero of fiction? Madame Bovary. I know she isn't supposed to be a heroine but she got most of what she wanted by using her charm and beauty. Obviously there are things I Don't like about her....namely, that she was an adulteress. 29. Which historical figure do you most identify with? No one. The reason people get called historical figures is because they did something great. 30. Who are your heroes in real life? My mother 31. What are your favorite names? Clarice, Lena, and Chandler. 32. ummm, way longer than necessary, I realize. Claire wanted to really explain each answer and like... yeah, I got carried away. On the bright side, lots of Clairry-insight for anyone who actually cares lmao
1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? When you're so happy that it feels surreal, when nothing in the world can get you down, when every little thing about the moment seems perfect and beautiful, when you can't stop smiling because you're just so happy, when you have someone to share this happiness with you maybe and they mean the world to you, when you have no regrets or worries, when the only thoughts in your mind are positive, when you feel as if you're floating among the clouds instead of planted on earth and you just feel so lucky because you're so happy and it almost doesn't seem fair that you could be this lucky, this happy. If something like that exists than yes, that's my idea of perfect happiness.
2. What is your greatest fear? If we're talking about fearing something physical, something tangible, then I would have to go with snakes. I love them and everything but I can't help but be scared all the same, ever since I was bitten when I was younger and nearly died. I wish I wasn't so afraid them though, and I'm working on it. If we're talking about fearing something abstract, then I would say that I fear time. Or at least, time moving too fast. Everyone's so eager to grow up and though I have to admit I can be the same, it just scares me to imagine life moving too fast. I don't want to end up old and at the end of my life and feel like I haven't accomplished enough, like I haven't done anything with my life. I don't want to miss out on things and I don't want to lose oppurtunities, I just want to soak up as much as I can for as long as I can.
3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? I know that I'm not a coward, per say, but ever since I was sorted into Hufflepuff, I worry that I have certain cowardly characteristics and that that's why I wasn't made a Gryffindor. I suppose this could technically go under my greatest fear as well. I'm afraid of being a coward, of acting in a way that people would perceive as cowardly, and that's why I always try to prove that I'm nothing like that. I guess I'm just stubborn that way.
4. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Backstabbing. I just don't understand how people can turn on each other, how they can lie and betray someone who trusted them. I can't even imagine having someone that I trust betray me and as much as I try and understand the mentality behind it, I don't get how people can so malicious and manipulative. I'm not trying to be naive or childish, I just despise the idea of backstabbers and traitors. People should be loyal to their families, their friends, and everything that they believe in and that's not an opinion that I'm willing to budge on. I'm loyal to it, haha.
5. Which living person do you most admire? My parents. Does that count? Two people, not one, but still. I admire them both so so much. They don't care about the material side of life, they just embrace life instead. They raised me and my sisters and my brother with firm moral standards and they made sure that we would never deviate from them. They ensured that we all grew up happy and safe and they love us all so so much. They were amazing parents. My fathers a great man and such a hard and dedicated worker. He loves the farm and it always shows. My mother's a bit free-spirited but she's always been the perfect mix of fun and firm. They did such a good job with all of us and I only hope that one day I'll be half as good of a parent to my own children.
6. What is your greatest extravagance? I lead a rather simple life but I suppose living on the farm could be seen as an extravagance. I'm so so lucky to have grown up in such a fun, cozy, loving environment and to have such a large space to explore and enjoy whenever I'm home. We all live well and even if we aren't the richest people in the world, we have a roof over our heads and we have our little luxuries and most importantly, we're happy. And seeing as so many people can't claim those things, I'd definitely classify them as an extravagance.
7. What is your current state of mind? Happy. Content. Peaceful. Serene. It's summer and it's my most favorite time of the year, of course I'm in a rather good state of mind. I'm enjoying everything and though I miss people, I'm so relieved to be with my family again. It's so relaxing being on the farm and I've missed it. So in sum, I'm healthy and happy and I love life.
8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue? I think that all of the Seven Virtues of the Catholic faith - if those are what we're talking about? I don't know, those are what I know, anyways - have great value when applied in one's life, I don't know if I could say that any of them are overrated. Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, Humility... they're all so important. I'm certainly not the kind of girl who sleeps around with any boy she can, I think it's important to mindful of oneself and others, to be generous, to have a good work ethic, to be tolerant, to have compassion, to be modest... No, I certainly can't say that any of them are overrated ideals.
9. On what occasion do you lie? Only when I can't see a way around it? I mean sure, I told my little harmless lies as a child, but we all did. Now I try not to lie when I can - I mean it's not as if I would want someone lying to me. I hate liars. Of course, white lies are different. There's the classic 'lying about a surprise party for someone' and it's not as if I have a problem with that, that would just be silly.
10. What do you most dislike about your appearance? My hair, I think. I know so many people are fond of blonde hair, but really, mine is just boring and straight and so unexciting. I'd give anything to have flaming red hair, especially if it was curly. Everyone wants what they can't have, I suppose, I just wish that my hair was more interesting than it really is. And I've always been a fan of green eyes. Blue is nice and pretty and everything but green eyes are just so gorgeous, anyone who has them is so so lucky.
11. Which living person do you most despise? Well, despise is a rather strong word, I don't know if I despise anyone per say. Except maybe for the people who attacked us in Hogsmeade - that was terrifying. I don't understand how anyone could be so cruel, how they could want to hurt other people. Kids were killed that day. I just... I can't even begin to understand it. I don't want to understand it. It's just wrong, there's no way around that.
12. What is the quality you most like in a man? Romantic. It's silly, I know, but I'm such a romantic myself and I love reading romance novels and everything. I mean it's not exactly necessarily if we're talking about a guy just a friend, no, but if the question means something more, well then yes. So sue me for being the sort of girl who dreams of falling head over heels in love and having butterflies in her stomach.
13. What is the quality you most like in a woman? This one really applies to boys too, but I'd have to go with genuine. I like girls who aren't fake, who just are who they are and act exactly way. Girls who are real and fun and act like themselves instead of pretending to be someone else because they think it makes them seem cooler. It just makes me so sad when people do that. It's ridiculous! So yes, people who are genuine are always gonna get a big thumbs up from me.
14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Hmm. That's a tough one. I try and use a variety of words in my vocabulary but I don't know. Maybe "Oh my gosh!" when I'm excited? I never say "Oh my god" though, I mean I know it's not swearing but my parents always said that it was "gosh" not "god" because otherwise it was disrespectful so I still say it that way, even if at Hogwarts everyone just says "Merlin!" or the like.
15. What or who is the greatest love of your life? Writing. Reading. Dreaming. My family. The farm. My friends. Summer. Smiling. All the people and the things that make me happy. So I suppose you could also say "being happy" if that's not too abstract of an answer? I don't know.
16. When and where were you happiest? When I found out that magic really existed. I wasn't crazy for insisting that there was something more, for believing that fairies and unicorns couldn't have just been the made-up stuff of myths. Magic was real. And as if that wasn't amazing enough, I was actually a part of it. I was a witch. I could use magic, I was magical. It was too much to handle and it still feels that way sometimes. The very first time I stepped into Diagon Alley would also fit here. I was so happy and overwhelmed by how everything was. Magic.
17. Which talent would you most like to have? The ability to understand and speak every language. Wouldn't that be amazing? I mean just think of what you would be able to do with a talent like that. You could travel all of the world and talk to all these people and learn so much. It would just be fantastic, there's no doubt about it. I only wish.
18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Well I already said my hair, and I think this is meant more personally so... I wish I was braver? I mean, I don't think I'm a coward - or at least, I really hope not - but it's not like I was sorted into Gryffindor, was I? I only wish I was that brave. Not that there's anything wrong with loyalty though, no, that's a really good quality to have. And I'm proud of being a Hufflepuff, I really am! I just wish everyone could see that it's possible to be brave and a Hufflepuff at the same time.
19. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Reading Romeo and Juliet from start to finish thirty times and counting? And having read all my favorite parts about a thousand times more. Haha, I really don't know. Starting to read so early? I mean most two year olds can't read, so that's pretty impressive, right? Even if I can't exactly remember, which is annoying. But yeah, I don't know. Does being a witch count? That's not really something I picked but I love it and I try and work hard at being skilled with magic every day so... maybe that too?
20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? I would love to be something like a tree or a plant or a flower. I mean, most people probably wouldn't see the point in being something that can't move but I think it would just be so different from being human - it would be fascinating. And I'd be a part of nature in a way that humans never really are, just connected to everything, you know? Also, flowers are pretty!
21. Where would you most like to live? Everywhere or exactly where I am. I know, it doesn't make much sense. I love the farm so much, my entire childhood is there, my family is there, and a part of me never wants to leave, as silly as that sounds. I love it so much. I love England so much. But then at the same time, there's this whole big, wide world out there that I've never seen and there's no way someone can go through all of their life like that. You have to go and see what the world has to offer. Travel. Variety. All of that. And even if I end up right back in England, I'll at least have seen the world.
22. What is your most treasured possession? My copies of Romeo and Juliet and my notebooks filled with all my stories and my diaries. Or wait, only one thing? Um, I don't know, that's hard.
23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Being unhappy with yourself. Being insecure. I mean it's normal and natural and everyone has their moments or their ticks but I just think it's such a terrible thing when someone feels ashamed of who they are or what they look like. It's cheesy but people should love themselves. Everyone should. Because everyone has amazing qualities, everyone - and I refuse to believe any differently on that matter.
24. What is your favorite occupation? I love helping around the farm, I really do. Even the simplest of chores. I love being with the animals, whether I'm collecting eggs or milking the cow or letting the horses into the pasture, it's always just so peaceful. Honestly, I would be a happy farmer, I really would. Or any other job involving animals. But I suppose what I love the most is writing. If I could spend my life writing, I don't think there's anything in the world I would love more. Writing is everything to me, just being able to create a whole new world in my head, all new people. That's when I'm happiest. And combining the two, writing on the farm? There's nothing better.
25. What is your most marked characteristic? Hm. People usually say I look "innocent" but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing? I'm very social with people I don't know and that normally catches them off guard but I can also be pretty solitary. I think that's what stands out the most, that I genuinely don't mind spending time all by myself. I enjoy it.
26. What do you most value in your friends? Well I said before, but that they're genuine. And loyal and trustworthy - the sort of person who won't stab you in the back, who's maybe interested in some of the same things that you are, who you can just get along with. You shouldn't have friends that are all the same though, I mean variety is the spice of life, no?
27. Who are your favorite writers? William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Margaret Mitchell, the Bronte sisters, Edgar Allen Poe... Okay, there are a lot but my ultimate favorite is Shakespeare, that's most important.
28. Who is your hero of fiction? Juliet. I don't think I even need to explain this but I will. She loved Romeo so much that she didn't want to imagine a life without him and she killed herself when she saw that he was dead. She loved him so much that she had to be with him, even in death. She was so brave and her story so tragic. The world still remembers the tale of the love of Romeo and Juliet and they always will because there will never be a story more romantic - it's impossible. No love can surpass the love of two people who died for their love. Death is sad and tragic, yes, but in this case it's the testament of love, it's unbelievably powerful and romantic.
29. Which historical figure do you most identify with? ...Juliet? Oh I know, she's not really a historical figure. And I don't know why I identify with her entire. I'm not trapped in some tragic love story. But I don't know, I've just always related with her, always sympathized with her, always loved her so much. I'm not saying I plan on following in her footsteps, haha, but I just find it incredibly romantic and I love that she threw away everything for the man that she loved, that she killed herself because she didn't want to live without him, so that they could truly be together forever. I think everyone should experience a love like that, no matter how unrealistic most people might find it. But hey, a girl can dream, right?
30. Who are your heroes in real life? I would say Juliet and then defend why she still counts in this category as well but I think I've gone on about her enough. Well, there's never such thing as enough when it comes to Romeo and Juliet but I'm surely getting boring. So I don't know. Can I say my parents again? They're amazing, they really are. The best parents in the world, I owe them so much. And oh! My big brother, Johnny. He's always been a hero to me, even when we used to play little games when we all kids. He was the hero trying to get past the evil dragon and I got to be the little princess. Hannah was always his sidekick and Steffy was the dragon or whatever villain. And Jules was the fairy godmother or something so she could look after her baby sister, it was too funny. So my siblings too, I guess, but especially Johnny, he's always been the best big brother to all four of us.
31. What are your favorite names? Juliet, Scarlett, Arabella, Cinderella (Yes, this counts!), Anastasia, Marie, Noelle, Belle, Clara, Sarah, Elizabeth, Grace, Faith, Anna, Stephanie, Hanna, Julia (I love my mother's name and my sisters' names!)... It's quite varied, as you can see! As for boys, hm. Aiden, Ethan, Jacob, Johnny, James, Edward, Edmund, Jack, Dylan, Declan, I don't know, there are lots.
[**I realize many of these happen to be the names of characters on ISS but that's completely unrelated lol, these are just names that Claire happens to love, or family members and etc]
32. What is it that you most dislike? Being unhappy. It's just a miserable thing, really. I realize that life isn't perfect and that no one will always be happy but I hate when I can't fix something, when something is wrong and when I or someone else can't just be happy. It's such a horrible feeling. I don't even know what to say. I don't mean to sound spoiled or silly or naive or any of those things, I just hate being unhappy, I really do. Whether it's me or someone else, it's just... it's horrible. There's really nothing else to say.
33. What is your greatest regret? I don't really have many regrets, to be honest. I wish that I wasn't a muggleborn but not because I'm ashamed of it. I just wish that my siblings and my parents could know how amazing magic is too and not be left out. That I wouldn't have to feel guilty about being a witch when none of them get to be a part of this, a part of magic.
34. How would you like to die? I think everyone wants to die painlessly, really. But I suppose there's more to it than that. I'd want to die happy, feeling that I've lived a good life, that I've done something with my life. If we're being dramatic, I don't know, dying in the place of someone else that I love would also be a fulfilling way to die. Or dying for a cause, dying for something that you believe in. I think it's those sort of things that are also important.
35. What is your motto? Learn from the past, live for the present, look to the future.
