Okay. I may have promised you some things that I didn't particularly follow through with. At least not at first, but now that I have the time to sit back and consider things, I shouldn't have made that promise to begin with. Because even if we had stayed together forever, somewhere down the road, I would have hurt her. Perhaps not as badly as I did, but it would have happened regardless. Still, I hurt her because I knew it was good for her. I hurt her so that someone else could love her. Someone who could love her more than I could, someone who needed to love her more than I did. So I'm not sorry, and I didn't expect you to forgive me anyway, even if I had been.
