"Relaxed? .....right." Indigo nodded, relaxed was about the last thing this girl was at the moment. She felt bad that she had to tell him the truth, but that's exactly what it was. Hope he didn't take it too hard. When the lights suddenly went out she caught her breathe. What was that all about? Why did he have to do that? What was going on? She started to panic but held still, listening to what he told her. On the outside, Indi was completely normal. On the inside, she was always such a wreck.
"Wh...whoaaaa" Indi at first thought she was slipping, but as the pull became stronger she let go of the stairs, floating upwards. Wow, it felt like she was on a could. How very cool it was. Despite the fact that she was hovering in mid-air, one of the only things she could think about was her skirt rising up. She almost had a second notion this morning to duct tape it to her legs, and now she was almost wishing she had done that. Then again, what did she care if Reg got a look at her legs? He was a cutie.
His hand reached out and grabbed her firmly around the waist. Ah, Indigo wasn't that into heights either now that she thought about it. Once he grabbed her the charm stopped and she felt like she was going to fall, because all of Indi's weight had come back to her. Her hands flung out and she wrapped them around Regulus, edging away from the edge as much as possible. Looking down below, she glanced back at Reg. "Thank you" She smiled, laughing a little as she had thrown herself at him. Oh....just, wow. Some Gryffindor.

"Your welcome," Regulus smiled brightly. Having his body against Indigo's gave him a warm feeling throughout his body. "Hopefully you won't need to return the favor. Of course I wouldn't object to a reward for my actions, I think a kiss would do nicely," Regulus smiled hoping he wasn't pushing it. It just seemed that it would be the least she could do after he saved her life.
Releasing her as he waited for a response he once again muttered "Nox," flooding the upstairs corridor with light once more. He held the wand to look down the corridor, looking at Indi again and smiling. Despite the fact that Indi's skirt had risen a bit while Regulus levitated her to safety he had been so focused on not letting her drop he was barely able to notice. He figured he had made the right choice however since keeping Indi alive seemed more important than looking at her legs, no matter how beautifully smooth they were.
"After all that there had better be something interesting up here," he smiled flashing the light of the wand down the corridor. His wand arm was still a little weary, as if he had just been lifting weights...which in a sense he had. Still it wasn't painful of anything and he was just glad that he had brought Indi to safety.

Indigo smiled, hoping he would say that. Being that close to him just made all her feelings come alive, and was making her forget about Ethan. Ugh that boy, one day he'd make her lose her mind. She closed her eyes slightly as the drastic change from night to day took place in the house. Letting her dark eyes slowly adjust she looked around. The halls were lined with so many painting, some of scenery, some of the very same house, and some of dead ancestors.
"I'm still not falling for the ghost theory. But then you never know." But in Indi's mind, she knew. A bunch of rubbish, they only hung around Hogwarts because it was enchanted for them to do so. "You heard something didn't you?" She watched his reaction. "So did I." Indigo peered around the corner, everything seemed silent and eerie. "Let's go check it out." Danger entranced her, she just couldn't get enough of it.
Looking down, she straightened out her skirt, trying to make it suitable once again. Walking over to Regulus as he lit his wand and stared down the hall, she grabbed him by the arm, and went around to meet his gaze. Standing up on her tip toes Indigo kissed him fully on the mouth, moving her hand down his chest. Leaning backwards she smirked. "Was that a good one?" Indigo laughed a little.

Regulus nodded when Indigo asked if he had heard something and he was glad to hear that she had heard it to. "Let's go check it out." Regulus gave a short laugh, she sure was determined. "Alright let's," he smiled. He looked to her and noticed she was fixing her skirt so he looked down the corridor. He thought it would be quite awkward to watch her so he might as well start exploring a little.
Regulus had just taken his first step away when Indigo grabbed his arm and turn him around. Regulus met her eyes briefly before closing them as her lips came up to meet his. His hands gently took her waist, falling back to his side as their lips parted again. The kiss had been even better than Regulus had expected, and he had expected it to be amazing. Indigo's lips had been so soft against his.
"That was a very good one," Regulus smiled happily. He had kissed plenty of girls before, but Indigo's kiss had been the best by far. Maybe it was just the feeling that he had for Indi that caused him to think, but it had still been incredible. Regulus wanted more, but he wasn't sure if Indigo would want to get back to business and he was afraid of being turned away if he went back in for another kiss.

"Glad to see you're so adventurous Black." Indigo nodded her head in a seal of approval, still staying close to him. His hands had fallen around her waist, the feel of his hands on her was a good one. It had been funny, the way he looked away as she was fixing her clothing. But, at the same time, it was a good move for him to do, Indigo liked someone who had the common decency.
Her fingers were now slowly trailing up his slim back, not taking her eyes away from his. "You know, the expedition can wait." She suggested towards the noise they were only a few minutes ago, in search for. Indigo lifted up her foot delicately and kissed him again, passionately. She couldn't help but have a weakness for boys, especially the likes of him. Anyways, as it were, Indi was too caught up in the moment to look for silly ghosts.
"Well, I'm glad you like it. It seems I'm better than some people think" She smiled, not referring to anyone in particular...cough. "You're good" Indigo looked at him slyly, a slight teasing look turned on her face. "You've had a lot of practice, haven't you?" Not that it was any of her buisiness, it was just all in good fun. Once her hand reached his neck she traced her fingers in circles around the back of it.

Regulus' lips curled into a smirk as Indi suggested that they hold off on their exploration. There would be no objection from him. As their lips met once again Regulus matched Indi's passion losing himself in the softness of her lips. If there had been any doubt in his mind before it was erased Regulus had fallen for Indigo and he never wanted to get back up. Regulus' first kiss had been back in his first year, he was alone in the commonroom with one of the other girls and
"Your not so bad yourself," Regulus smirked as she complimented his kissing. "A lot is a relative term, suffice it to say you weren't my first kiss," he said smirking again. Regulus' first kiss had come back in his first year. He was alone in the commonroom with on of the Slytherin girls and they got bored with studying. They started talking about how neither of them had their first kiss and just decided to go for it. They didn't end up dating or anything, but they did kiss on a few more occasions hoping to get better despite the fact neither one knew what they were doing.
"You are the best though," Regulus added encouragingly. He figured the compliment would help considering the 'better than some people think' line. Obviously someone had told her she was a bad kisser in the not too distant past...at least he figured it was not too distant otherwise, he figured, it wouldn't bother her. Though he was having a hard time believing anyone would not enjoy kissing her.

"No harm done, you definitely aren't my first." Honesty is the best policy, some weird term she'd picked up from a muggle. True though, Indigo was set on getting and returning the truth. It didn't matter anyways, being someone's first kiss wasn't a big deal. Besides, she liked a guy who knew what he was doing. He wasn't alone in the dark with the lights off. "Why thank you" She smirked, doing a curtsey for effect.
Her hands were wrapped loosely around his neck as she spoke to him. Ok, Indigo felt that she may be getting herself deep into something here, but like with most things, she didn't think before she acted. He may be a Slytherin and she a Gryffindor, but it wasn't the end of the world now was it? Her predudices didn't run with houses, they were in an entirely different ballgame. When was Indigo's first kiss anyway? Haha, racy little girl. It was on the playground, some little kids were making fun of her because she was scared to slide down the slide.
Another little boy came up and shared his power rangers with her, which they played with all afternoon. In their innocence, and probably repeating what he saw mommy and daddy do, he gave her a kiss on the lips. Indigo laughed and that was that, the end. She didn't know when her first real kiss was.....what qualified as a real first kiss? "Ooookkk..." Indigo's hands slipped from around his neck and she began to pull away regettably. "Shall we go in search of this...thing?"

Regulus smiled at Indigo gave a curtsy. Of course he knew he wasn't going to be Indigo's first, but the word definitely made him wonder how many had come before him. He wasn't going to bother asking because he knew she would ask the same one back, and he really hadn't been keeping count. It didn't really matter though, because the only kiss that really matters is the last one.
Regulus loved the feeling of Indigo's arms wrapped around his neck while his hands rested comfortably at her slender waist. He just wanted to stay standing here looking into Indigo's eyes and kissing her until the floor below them caved in beneath them. On second thought, maybe not considering that they probably wouldn't have much time before that happened anyway. All the same he was a bit disappointed as Indigo took her arms from around his neck and his hands dropped from her waist. But she was right, they should get moving again.
"Right," Regulus nodded. "It's probably best we find it before it comes to find us," he said coming back to the reality of the fact that they were hearing noises in a 'haunted' house. Even if Reg was skeptical about the Shrieking Shack being haunted, they had heard a noise and it was definitely possible that some sort of creature had made it's way into the decaying house. Regulus turned the light of his wand back down the corridor and began to take cautious steps.
"Take my hand," he said sticking his free hand behind him while he continued too look down the corridor. "I don't want to risk another incident like the stairs," he added casting a glance back to her waiting until he had her hand to go any farther.

"Oooo" She wiggled her fingers, smirking afterwards. "I almost wish it would come and find us, I'm far too lazy to search the entire house for it." Indigo's hands slid over a frail peice of fabric, a thin coat that was hanging on a coat rack. The rack had crumbling bits of cement around it, showing it was not very sturdy. Antiques! How cool. But certainly not what they were here for. All the paintings eyes looked at them as they walked down the hall, she wondered how anyone could have stood living here at any point in time.
Indigo huffed and let out a dramatic sigh before linking her own hand with Regulus's. "Alright...but, I can take care of myself you know." She nodded her head. Indi was an independent spirit, but she'd humor him. As she laced her other hand along the walls, thin strings of cobwebs came off with it. The hall almost seemed never ending, with only many bedrooms breaking off from it. Just then she heard a thump. Indigo stopped in her tracks, narrowing her eyes. Another thump. There was a room at the end of the hallway, where the sound grew louder.
She grinned at Regulus, her curiousity was at its peak. Slipping her hand away from his she walked faster until she reached the splintering door. There was definitely something in there, she could hear it. Looking back at Reg she put her hand on the broad door handle. "Let's see what's behind door number one shall we?" She pushed it open slowly, just a crack to peek through. Indigo couldn't see or here anything, just an empty room with a bunch of boxes. Pushing it open half-way, there was still nothing. She frowned, Indigo didn't hallucinate and hear things. "You think it might be a....bogart?"

"Alright...but, I can take care of myself you know." Regulus glanced back at Indi, "As demonstrated by your expert ability to climb stairs," he said sarcastically flashing her a quick smile. He continued creeping down the hallway glad for the fact that he now knew Indigo was safe when the first thump came. Reg was stopped dead looking around flashing the light of his wand in ever direction trying to distinguish the sounds location.
The second thump came and Regulus had his answer. Regulus caught Indi's grin and before he could say 'let me go first' she had already let go of his hand and by passed him on the way to the door at the end of the hallway. He followed after her quickly his heart beginning to beat faster. Regulus grinned at the joke, she was going to open the door anyway so he might as well have fun, since she certainly seemed to be. Still Regulus was on guard his wand pointed at the door as Indi opened it.
Oddly enough it seemed to be empty, well at least void of any sort of creature. "Why are you afraid of boxes?" Regulus asked with a small smile as he cast the light into the dark room. It made Regulus curious though, what would his boggart become. What was it that he feared most? Death he supposed. So that would mean his boggart would turn into his grave or perhaps his cold lifeless body. He wondered what Indi's greatest fear was.

She cast him a warning look, but her face changed to a mischevious smile in the end. Should could handle herself...most of the time. Her usual graceful air was sometimes lost, it happened to everyone. No, it was completely empty. There was nothing remotely scary about the place. She rolled her eyes at herself, boggart. Indigo scoffed. "Oh Regulus, you have no idea how terrifying a couple of boxes can be" She remarked, holding her straight face as long as possible before she smiled, revealing her sarcasm.
"Alright I was little off....." Indigo sifted around, looking through boxes of old things, and to Indi, just plain junk. "What do you think it was?" She asked him, though she was still looking around the room. One hand was wrapped loosely around her waist as her eyes averted to the corner, there it was again. The noise. Her shoes clicked against the wooden floor as she cautiously stepped forward a few feet. "Are you going to hide there all day or what?" She eventually said, tired of the game. A person stepped out, not just any person, a woman. Indigo's eyes immediately changed from confidence to unsurity. She bit her bottom lip as she stared at her.
Swiftly yanking out her wand she pointed it at the woman, who didn't stop her advances. Ahhh so Indi was right after all, it was a boggart. Oh good grief, what was the word they were supposed to say? She couldn't believe she'd forgotten it, Indigo had learned that one long ago. She didn't look at Regulus once, her eyes remained in a fixed stare with the lady before her, who had a crazed look on her face. "Rid..riddikulus." Her voice quavered, that wouldn't do. She took a step backwards, not meaning to, she tried again, holding her head up. "Riddikulus!" Immediately the woman grew a gray beard that reached the floor. She managed a small smile as she looked at Regulus. "Stupid boggart, is that what has everyone so spooked of this place? One little thing?" She blew it off. Still, she didn't like the idea of anyone knowing what she feared.

Regulus moved into the room after Indigo holding the light up so that it light the room relatively well. Of course the boxes made cast a lot of shadows, but it was much better than fumbling around in the dark. "I don't know, maybe a squirrel or something," Regulus shrugged as Indi asked him what he thought had made the noise. He figured maybe some creature had wandered in and knocked down a few of the boxes accidentally or something.
Regulus was a few feet from Indi and facing the opposite direction when he heard her address someone. It seemed liked someone had just been having a bit of fun with them, a bit disappointing, but whatever. Even before he turned however he knew something was wrong, for one there hadn't been any sort of response and Indi hadn't said anything else. Regulus' eyes fell upon the woman and he found himself confused for a moment until he realized Indigo had drawn her wand.
Regulus watched her first attempt fail, but was hesitant to come help. As Indi had mentioned she could take care of herself and since it was only a boggart, she was in no real danger. Regulus looked at the woman who had now grown a beard longer than their headmasters laughing a bit and smiling at Indi. "Yea, I guess most people come up here and get so freaked out they just, take off," Reg shrugged figuring paranoia from being in the 'most haunted building in Britain' combined with being confronted by your worst fear was enough to send most people running. Lucky they'd had each other. "So, uh, who was that lady?" he asked assuming that Indi wasn't afraid of women in general as that could create problems for her later in life.

She laughed. "A squirrel? Maybe a squirrel on steroids." It had been loud, they could hear it from upstairs. And the walls of this place were old, but they weren't made of paper. She teased him, he was an easy person to tease. She'd almost forgotten about Regulus being in the room, almost. Once she'd handled the boggart she'd realized it again, as if remembering where she was. Indigo would have to make a note of that: Boggarts were not a pleasant experience. Of course, it wasn't like she had expected it to be.
She tsked, some people were such cowards. No wonder this placed remained a mystery to so many. "Well Sherlock, I think we've just "solved" She did quotation marks with her fingers in the air, "The mystery of the Shrieking shack." Indigo kicked a box for good measure and quickly edged away from the boggart who was looking confused, so it wouldn't try anything else. "If only I had a pipe to smoke, it would make the effect so much better." Sherlock, the muggle fiction character from books, always had a pipe right?
Indigo walked out of the room so fast you'd think there were hot coals underneath her feet. Immediately after Reg had exited the room she shut the door. "Oh." She looked back towards the room, that was beginning to make the sounds again, clearly frustrated. "My mother." She answered softly, before beginning to walk down the hall. Once she had never been afraid of her, then something happened that changed everything.

Regulus laughed at the Sherlock comments. He had heard mention of this muggle character who solved mysteries and such. Always went around with a pudgy little assistant. Rather strange really though he did think the pipe was his trademarked item, Regulus couldn't be sure as he knew little about the character despite the name and the meaning behind people referencing it.
"Your mother?" Regulus repeated not quite sure he understood. His own mother, Walburga, was an intimidating woman with a rather shrill voice, but Regulus certainly didn't fear her. Well, at least she wasn't his worst fear. He had hurried out after Indigo and looked back now at the closed door where the boggart was. It had probably retreated to its corner by now ready to take the shape of the worst fear of whoever next entered the room.
"You wanna talk about it?" Regulus asked in a gentle, 'you can trust me' voice. He wanted to know what about Indi's mother was so scary, but more than that he wanted her to be able to trust him with such personal information. It was understandable if she didn't want to talk about, after all Indi hadn't even trusted Reg to save her life earlier...but that turned out quite nicely.

Her mother. Indigo loved her and she hated her. Something you would never have thought possible, unless you knew her. Such an eccentric woman, full of life, at one point. "No" She replied abruptly and kept on walking, Indi didn't like talking about it with anyone. A few people knew, but they didn't know the whole story. Regulus actually sounded sincere though, and she sighed. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that." She was done with the house, it bored her already.
Stopping in front of the broken stairs, she wondered how they'd get down. Sitting on the floor, legs dangling over the edge, Indi stared at the door in the distance. He had saved her life, she knew she could trust him in that aspect. Still, he was a Slytherin, most didn't like her and used anything they could against the brown haired beauty. Indigo traced her fingers along her arm and sighed again. She might as well.
"She...used to be fun, when I was little. We'd stay up all night, and she'd tell me ghost stories." Indi smiled just a little. "Sometimes, she'd even act it all out." She tried not to laugh now. "She flipped her lid so to speak. Something just....changed her." Indigo was cold, even though the house was plenty warm, she pulled her jacket tighter. "She started to hate me, I'm not sure why. And....I don't know" She shrugged, fingering her clothes. "She did something I can never forgive her for, I'll forever be a coward when it comes to water now." Ugh, it really was pathetic in her eyes.
