OOC: Heh, it's fine. ^^
So this entire time Professor Dumbledore had been trying to show off his age and all the wisdom coming from age; and here she had thought of him as modest. Bella chuckled quietly, simply shaking her head at the thought. Only with Regulus could she ever come up with such ridiculous conspiracy theories, even if they seemed somewhat believable. It seemed she would just never know the truth behind the wrinkles; Bella was no about to go and ask her Headmaster why he didn’t bother to use magic to fix hi aged appearance – what a conversation that would be. Giving up on the matter entirely, she followed in pursuit after Regulus. Briefly nodding thanks she slipped out of the pub and into the cool night.
It wasn’t exactly freezing, but it was still cold out. She focused on keeping her hands warm, curling her hands into fists within her pocket and tightened her arms against her sides. That completed, it wasn’t so bad. Curiously she glanced around as they walked in silence, having never stayed out so late in Hogsmeade before. Bella found it slightly humorous it was Regulus she was sharing the experience with, even if perhaps this wasn’t his first time. It was something a couple would do, and they weren’t – she smiled slightly, thoughts flickering to Drew. When she made it back to the Common Room, she could simply find him, wrap him in a hug, and wait to get warm. She kept herself content with her daydreams, unintentionally forgetting it was Regulus with her right now, not Drew.
“So uh…it’s a nice night,” Regulus finally said, reminding her of his presence. Bella smiled lightly, trying to make amends for being so quiet. “Yeah, I’ve haven’t been outside the castle a whole lot when it’s dark out,” she informed him – actually, only once before this. Only then it had been at the lake, and Drew had been there with her that time. “I never was one for rule breaking,” she laughed, “I wonder…will we have to break our way back into the castle?” she mused, curious on what time they locked the front doors. She had no way of knowing if it actually was really that late or not. She shrugged the thoughts off dismissively, “How about you? Are you a fan of the midnight strolls?”

Regulus raised an eyebrow in surprise as Bella told him she'd only been out of the castle a few times past dark. Although once he thought about it, it really did make sense. It was just strange to thing that someone could stay locked inside the stone walls of Hogwarts when the cool night air was calling to the. Regulus had always loved the night more than most. Though oddly enough he wasn't a big fan of complete darkness, at least not in an unfamiliar place. It wasn't the dark that bothered Regulus, it was the unknown, the fact that fact that if you couldn't see it made it that much harder to react, especially if you were being hunted by something that could.
Tonight was not such a night however, the moon and stars provided a good amount of light along the path back towards the school. "If we do need to break in, be glad your with me," Regulus smirked, not sure himself whether or not this would be necessary. It was rather late, but how late Reg still didn't know exactly. Perhaps it would be in their best interest to just use one of the pathways he knew back inside. They would have to go into the forest and they would come out in the dungeons, but Bella only had to get up to about the kitchens anyway.
"I practically invented midnight strolls," Regulus smiled as they continued to walk down the quiet dirt path. Of course Regulus hadn't invented midnight strolls, it wasn't exactly something that lent it's self to inventing, but still the phrase seemed to fit. "Though I usually take strolls into the forest or just around the grounds," he added. He had made late night visits to Hogsmeade before, but only a few times and usually it was a midnight flight rather than a midnight stroll.

Bella grinned at the ground at his shock that she didn’t regularly visit the outside world at night. Of course someone like Regulus would find that odd; she was certain he would fit into the mysterious nighttime scene, a casual shadow straying in the darkness. Curious to her envisionments, she glanced at him from underneath her eye lids. He did seem to like the cool breeze, comfortable in his surroundings. Bella couldn’t say she had that kind of confidence, that side of her more evident in a classroom. It made her reflect in a way, realizing that the majority of her life had been spent indoors. She hadn’t meant to be like that, but she knew how to act in school – outside the classroom, she really had no idea.
“If we do need to break in, be glad you’re with me,” Regulus chuckled, making her smile. “You don’t have to break into anything to make be grateful for your company,” she informed him lightly, unashamed. “I know we can’t exactly be friends publicly, so when I can talk to you I’m always thankful.” A small laugh escaped her. “It doesn’t really take much to please me; I’ve always been like that, smiling just because someone liked my company.” Bella shrugged it off, the news not exactly anything shocking to her. She knew she was like that; it was just how she worked. Bella had suspicions it just had to do with her upbringing, finding it of great value when someone wanted to talk to her after being ignored for so long.
“…though I usually take strolls into the forest or just around the grounds.” That silly vision she’s had of Regulus earlier came back, but this time more purposeful. “I can understand that,” Bella agreed, nodding once. She could see him perfectly, taking slow strides down a beaten path, wind ruffling his hair as something howled off in the distance. Perhaps the image should have frightened her, concerned she could be so calm over such an image of darkness; but Regulus seemed to fit there, like deep down she knew there was a darker side of him she’d never know. He wouldn’t let her know…after strongly defended himself against Slytheirn stereotypes he wasn’t about to turn around and prove her right. It was that thought that unnerved her more then the picture at hand – was he really all that bad? Bella tried to squash the awkward thoughts intruding her, but without much avail. Where would Regulus be in ten years…?
It seemed silly to worry over such things, but for the entire journey back to Hogwarts it’s all she could think about. Before Bella was even consciously aware of it, she was bidding Regulus fair well – luckily getting back into the castle hadn’t been as difficult as they had thought. As she followed the hallways back to the Common Room, it still hadn’t left her. Even without his presence, Regulus consumed her thoughts – what exactly was this bad side of him? And just how bad was it? In a rather annoyed state, she tossed herself down into one of the chairs beside the fireplace, glad to be back in the familiar Hufflepuff surroundings. Completely consumed with the badger pride glowing about the room, she could safely forget about her Slytherin worries – and right now, that’s all she wanted.
