OOC: Heh; yeah, me too. XD We had 60mph winds. O.o
“Hmm, you wouldn’t, but you could,” she replied smoothly, “In fact, I think you have – I mean, at the very least I’m within the ‘friend’ category, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. You would have never bothered to invite me and just spent the day alone. Whether you like it or not, I know you have some sort of name for whatever I am to you.” Bella spoke very firmly and effectively, like it was some big speech or something. She felt it was rather impressive, like a little-miss-know-it-all. Of course, her smirk was kind of ruining the full effect, but sense when was that abnormal? Still though, she was curious – she’d been to nerve-wrecked to actually bring it up herself, but Bella did often wonder what exactly he considered her. They were really good friends and were going to the Ball together – but that didn’t necessarily mean she could honor him with claiming Drew as her boyfriend. She was certain she’d accidentally made it out to be that way with the people she’d talked to; if one of them opened their big mouths she might find herself in trouble – or just find a perpetually flattered Drew.
“I know, I haven't been trying. But Bells, I'd be laughing with you, not at you, if only you'd laugh.” Bella thought over that one for a moment, and then asked “You haven’t been trying to laugh at me, or you having been trying to win me over? Because on the matter of both, you’re sort of succeeding. You do laugh a lot,” she accused with a smile, “Whether at me or with, and I haven’t been able to think of much else besides you for a while now.” Bella smiled sheepishly, feeling silly for admitting it aloud – and dang it, she could feel her cheeks reddening. She cursed the stupid blood vessels that always rushed to make her blush and glanced downward – a mistake. She heard him chuckle, and found herself wondering what was so funny about that. Bella curiously glanced up at him, but it seemed to have been something else – not her – that had caused that laugh at least.
“Ravenclaw,” he mused, “It’s a good you weren’t. Or you and I, just couldn’t get along.” Hmpth. She inwardly pouted, trying to figure out if he really meant that or not as he continued on – “Not that bad?” she echoed, astonished, “Drew, of all the subjects you could pick to somewhat like, you pick History of Magic?” She stared at him in shock, “It’s confirmed – you officially have lost your mind. History of Magic,” she huffed, shaking her head. She hated that class beyond all reason – if it weren’t a requirement, she would have dropped out of it a long time ago. She would always root to have it banned, but having it as an elective wasn’t so bad. Besides, no one would sign up and it’d go out of existence anyways – a win-win situation in her mind. She glowered at him then, finding the idea of Drew being her shrink completely absurd. How you feel about that… Ha.
“I did pull you in, but you have to remember, that was only so I could stay up with you half of the night.” That tiny blush returned – Bella would find a way to eliminate all blushing schematics some day. “I’m not giving you open permission to intrude upon my dorm, not that you could,” she added lightly, amused by how their stairs turned into a steep slide whenever a boy thought of themselves above magic, “But had you ever felt the need to keep me up all night, you could have just asked.” She smiled some, watching the water roll off the car in a mix of dirt and other unmentionable grime. So the car would run – well, that was good. But it was the wrong time to open her mouth to comment, a small blast of water greeting her and her open mouth. “Oops.” Bella spat out the water and glared at him, not that it mattered – he was doing a careful job of keeping his gaze off her. She considered being mad and stealing away the hose to drench him in it, but then simply asked with a smirk “Tell me – do you like seeing me wet?”

"Friend hmmm....maybe." Drew pretended like he didn't care for a moment before breaking the ice. "If you ever feel like I don't like you, I'm probably just in a crabby mood." Yes, even Drew got those moods. "And it's true, I'd be blunt about it and wouldn't invite you if I couldn't stand you. For the record, I talk to you more than I do anyone else." He was actually more quiet unless he had something he felt was worth saying, or he was in class. He was a loud mouth in class because it was almost tradition at this point. A lot of the time he spent was alone, and he liked it that way. Inviting Bella along to watch/help him fix cars was something he didn't usually do. "If I'm bound to putting you in a category Bells, I'd like to put you somewhere closer to the girlfriend range, than annoying, pesky little hufflepuff who can't keep her nose out of other people's business." Drew grinned, finding that when he had first met her, that was his feelings, they'd certainly changed.
Drew smirked. "I must be more of a charmer than I thought, bravo." He'd been trying to do both of those things. "That I do. I make up for the 95% of the world that hasn't laughed a day in their life." They made up for the 99% of the time Drew wasn't serious. "The way I see it, if you don't laugh, then life catches up to you and you realize just how awful it really is. Why face the music if you don't have to?" Watching the blush creep up and replace the pale color of her cheeks he smiled sincerely, not the cocky grin he usually had on. "I haven't thought about anything but you either. Which might explain why that car over there is such a shitty mess. You're too much of a distraction, I don't know if your good for me." He grinned again, the moment short-lasted. "Just yesterday, I helped a third year pick up their books off the floor. All I could think was 'Bells, you're rubbing off on me.' No, it's sad really. You're making me out to be a nice guy or something."
"Think about it: HOM. You grow up as a muggle, and suddenly boom! You're a wizard, surprise surprise." He continued to soak the car, moving to the other side, he handed Bella a hose of her own. "Then what? You can't walk around all dandy, pretending you have half a clue on what's going on. All of a sudden, you wear girly robes, you're surrounded by people who talk with a British accent and say cheerio! A lot, and you're supposed to know how to make a broom magically levitate off the ground and carry you across the lake. Knowing why you can do all that, and why on earth you'd want to do all that, could be useful. For, you know, those rare few." Drew fininshed his own little rant. He grew up in America, but moved here to go to Hogwarts, known as one of the best wizarding schools. "My apologies, for not being a better gentleman." He threw the hose down, letting the water soak into the grass and kneeled down in front of Bella, taking her hand in his. "Bella Swan, will you forgive me for my severe lack of manners, and in return, I will always remember to ask you if you'd like me to pull you into the freezing lake first." He looked up at her with brown puppy dog eyes, his dramatic scene would be enough to get stares, if anyone were around. "And on the matter of whether or not I like seeing you wet," He paused to smirk before wiping it away, that overly serious face again, one you would see on a preppy snoot. "I am afraid I can not answer that, and still be a gentleman." He smiled smugly.

Maybe? He would have to make serious amends for that one – she knew better then to think he would leave it at that, already braced for the onslaught of words before he opened his mouth again. “If you ever feel like I don't like you, I'm probably just in a crabby mood.” Bella smile, glad to see her faith in him hadn’t been wasted. Finding the break for breathe, she answered casually “Well that’s good. I don’t know what I would do if myself if you never answered me. I’m sure you’ve noticed, but I do talk a lot, with everyone.” She smiled though, glad it didn’t seem so hard to act normal around her. Granted, she’d always known he was quieter then boys normally were; it was nice to know he was willing to break that stance for her. “ If I'm bound to putting you in a category Bells, I'd like to put you somewhere closer to the girlfriend range, than annoying, pesky little Hufflepuff who can't keep her nose out of other people's business.” She could feel her blush deepen slightly, biting the inside of her bottom lip. So maybe she hadn’t been giving people the wrong impression. “I’m flattered – I seem to have moved up in the world; or yours at least.” Bella laughed quietly, probably a bit more thrilled to finally have permission to tell people she was no longer single then really necessary. But, Bella was prone to take things to the extremes.
“That’s one way to view things I suppose,” she allowed, nodding once. Still, even if his warped logic made sense – to an extent – she wasn’t so sure she could ever measure up to being so carefree as Drew was. It would take a lot for her to ever do that. Generally she was a happy person, and laughed a lot – but even if Drew wasn’t laughing aloud, he was always laughing at something mentally. It seemed his way to process things.. His usual smirk though, for one brief moment it was replaced with genuineness. “I haven't thought about anything but you either.” Bella could hardly take in anything past that. At least it wasn’t just her. “Come on, do you really think you’re Hufflepuff’s bad boy or something?” she laughed. “You might be surprised to know you are a rather nice guy. I’ll pretend like you’re something dangerous if you want,” she offered, smirking.
For just admitting he talked more around her then the average passer-byer, he seemed to talk more then he ever had in his entire life. Clearly he had just as strong of an opinion about History of Magic as she did. Taking the hose, she countered “You know, up until my first year here, I didn’t know about the wizarding world either, but I was raised in England,” she allowed, having never seen America. “Oh well – just never ask for help on homework in that class and we’ll be fine – oh wait, you never do it, do you?” Bella smiled, laughing some.
“My apologies, for not being a better gentleman.” Bella stared at him questioningly, curious as he dropped his hose like it was of no importance and taking her free hand as he knelt. It was rather hard to keep a straight face as he finished, “That would be appreciated,” she grinned, though aware even if she protested she’d probably be pulled in anyways. Besides, she was pretty sure he if just begged her long enough she’d agree anyways – it was impossible to resist him when he looked at her like that. “And on the matter of whether or not I like seeing you wet.” here it comes, “I am afraid I can not answer that, and still be a gentleman.” Her lips fell into a playful smile, “Didn’t we just decide you weren’t a gentleman? You can’t ruin an image that was never set in place.” Yup – impossible to deny him anything when he tried so hard.

(awww, it's itsy bitsy again)
"Oh, I've noticed." Who couldn't notice how much Bella talked? Well, the whole female gender for that matter. The guys usually just had to nod their head and pretend that they were still paying attention through the boring parts. Not that Bella was ever boring, it was more like she spoke for him, so he didn't have to. It's not like Drew never responded to people, if they asked him a question, he'd usually answer. If they were being an idiot and asked a stupid one, he'd answer them with a look. It was almost the same thing. He also didn't exactly have a round about way of saying things. If Drew didn't like you, you'd pretty much know it within a couple minutes. But as it was, he liked most people. He'd have to laugh if you called him shy, which people often did. He truely just didn't have much to say. He was always being told to shut up or be serious, so he'd shut up. You can't have it both ways now can you?
"And what world is there besides mine?" He faked looking oblivious. That cocky smile was there again, just after he had said it, as if it were an after effect whenever he knew he was being full of himself. "And yours of course" He corrected with the same attitude. "There's really no other way to view it. If you don't laugh, you cry. And, I'm sorry Bells, but I'm really just not the crying type of guy." Not unless he was suddenly going emo. An emo Hufflepuff. Drew smirked again, doing a poor job at hiding his inside joke. She just wouldn't get it, most people didn't. Come on, do you really think you're Hufflepuff's bad boy or something? He laughed himself and shook his head at the end of it. "Can those two words even go in a sentence?" He snorted once more before composing himself.
"No, but you won't find me prancing around the school yard singing songs either. And that nice thing? That's your fault" He pointed an accusing finger at her, with an annoyed expression, as if it was some kind of diease he had been inflicted with. "Hell no." He answered straight forward, as she checked to see if he ever did his homework. Drew's face encountered a smirk along the way and he raised his eyebrows. "Which reminds me, how's You're HOM homework coming along?" He laughed. He tried not to smirk as he held her hands in his and nodded solemely, like this was all such a serious matter. "No no no. I said I needed to be a BETTER gentleman. Completely different things." Drew patted her hand and picked up the still running hose with the other. "Now, can I spray you with the hose, seeing as how I was going to do it eventually anyway?" Drew tried not to laugh.

OOC: You know, my definition of "short" is more like one good paragraph broken up into three crappy posts. ;] You don't seemed to meet those requirements. :]
Bella pursed her lips but accepted it for what it was – she was in no way ever going to deny that she talked a lot. Even if someone didn’t want to hear it, she would run her mouth until someone told her to shut it. Naturally that wasn’t exactly the most loveable quality about her; some people found her sociality just down right obnoxious – others of course, found it rather normal and just babbled along with her. You always had people in the middle though – the ones who didn’t care about her talking a lot, but didn’t answer her either. It hadn’t taken her long to pick out the middle people – once she figured out she wasn’t being ignored mind you.
“And what world is there besides mine?” She scarcely opened her mouth to retaliated, “And yours of course.” Bella closed her mouth to smile, glad he had replaced that answer. Refiguring her response, she answered “None at all – unless you want to get into those odd theories about how there are other planets with entirely different life forms.” She made it out as matter-of-fact, like she really believed in all those whacked-out ideas. In all honestly Bella didn’t find the logical very reasonable at all – she would own up to once thinking there was never magic in the world, but another world entirely? Well, that was something else completely.
“There's really no other way to view it. If you don't laugh, you cry. And, I'm sorry Bells, but I'm really just not the crying type of guy.” She put on a frown, pouting, “Aw, and here I had my tissues all ready for you and everything.” Bella rolled her eyes, shaking her head in mock disappointment. “Can those two words even go in a sentence?” She considered a moment, and then pointed out “Actually, I just did, thanks.” It took a lot to keep from laughing aloud.
“No, but you won't find me prancing around the school yard singing songs either. And that nice thing? That's your fault.” Believable offensive covered her expressions; ha, like she was really hurt of something. “My fault? I fail to see how this is my fault – I mean, until you start wanting to bake cookies in your free time to deliver out to the homeless, I don’t’ think I’ll ever see your point to be frank.” Bella actually had never done that sort of thing – more often then not, she was the one receiving the cookies. She’d thought about it though.
Bella simply decided to ignore his homework comment, not wanting to admit it still sat locked up in her bag. If she ever procrastinated, it was for History of Magic. More concerning, was how long she had to stay dry. “Thanks for asking my permission this time,” she replied smoothly, “But no, you can’t.” Bella fingered with her hose for a moment, glancing at the running water – and the abruptly turned it in Drew’s direction. When she was positive she’d done enough damage, she lowered it back down, spraying the car. Looking straight ahead at the green car in front of her, she added calmly “Now you can.”
OOC: Heh heh heh... >:-]

ooc: thanks "Considering that it's not even near possible for life forms to exist on any of the planets besides Mars, and considering, that so far with extensive cameras we have seen no signs of life, no, I'll leave it there. Unless you were just about to get all sci-fi on me, and then I'll let you to it. It'd be humerous." Drew crossed his arms and waited for her to continue, before beginning to hum the Twilight Zone music loudly. "Sorry, I can't recall the Star Trek song." He shrugged his shoulders and winked, not even sure how far he was going to play it out before changing the subject like he always did. He hadn't meant much by admitting Bella was a chatterbox, except that. And it didn't mean it was a bad thing, she actually had things to say. So many girls couldn't think of anything to say that didn't have to do with make-up and all that...junk. In that case, silence was the best way to go. Aww, and here I had my tissues all ready for you and everything. He gave her a snide look, there was no response to that off the top of your head, without making it worse. "The day you have a burping contest is the day you see me cry." Daring thing to say, as you never did know with her. He still felt pretty confident that she wouldn't go anywhere near that. It was a guy thing. "Yeah, but you should recieve a slap on the wrist or something, it doesn't feel gramatically correct. How about this one? A saintly Slytherin. Does that sound right? Oh hehe, I'd love to see the day you were a duce cap and have to sit in the corner all class period long." Drew smirked, trying to have some fragment of an idea of what it would look like if Bella got in trouble. Another pair of words that didn't seem to fit together. "Mmm hmm, you just keep up that little innocent facade you've got going there Bells, I'll pretend you're not some overbearing angel pushing all of her righteous doings on people." He scoffed, daring her to make a comeback. That wasn't true, and he didn't think it, but Drew not pushing someone's buttons wasn't Drew at all. He was going to spray her anyway, seeing as he never said he'd bid her wish if she said no, but the hufflepuff girl managed to escape with faster reflexes. Now you can. Drew coughed, a lot, he'd had his mouth wide open, half way to a grin when she got him. Shaking out his hair like a wet dog, he nodded his head, as if in defeat. "Ok, ok. Fair enough." Drew stared at her for a moment before grabbing her around the waist, bringing his hose up to spray her in the face so she couldn't go anywhere. "Oh no Bells, what now?" He laughed.

“I’m going to spare you on that one, because to be perfectly honest, I don’t even believe there’s ‘life on Mars’…” She let it trail off, staring as him peculiarly. “Sorry, I can’t recall the Star Trek song.” If he’d thought that would help her, he had greatly mistaken – it was like he was speaking French again. “I think you can answer this one and still remain a gentlemen,” she stated beforehand, then added, “Do you like seeing me confused?” Bella’s free hand rose to her hips, tapping her fingers importantly. “Because if that’s what you were aiming for you’re doing a very good job.” She laughed lightly, still trying to figure out what on earth he was humming if it wasn’t ‘the Star Trek’ song…
“The day you have a burping contest is the day you see me cry.” Only Drew would ever be able to say something like that to her and get away with it. “Never then,” she confirmed, nodding once. “That’s a ridiculous thing to do and if you ever feel the need to do anything of the sort, please do me a favor and make sure I’m not around.” Bella simply shook her head – and guys thought girls. were confusing. Pretending to glare at him didn’t get her very far though, raising an eyebrow in question at a saintly Slytherin. “You go and find me a Slytherin that could be described as saintly and then we’ll talk.” Ha – good luck with that one. And then proudly, she added “And for the record, you won’t ever see me wearing one of those, thank you very much.” She let out a snob-ish huff, careful to hide her smirk.
“Mmm hmm, you just keep up that little innocent facade you've got going there Bells, I'll pretend you're not some overbearing angel pushing all of her righteous doings on people.” Bella glared over at him at that one, “You know, you better be careful – I might just get all ‘righteous’ on you if you keep that up.” She smiled fleetingly and then returned her attention back to her hose…
…which proved very successful against Drew. “OK, OK, fair enough,” he coughed out, along with water. “Hey!” she shrieked at the wrong time, her mouth suddenly being filled up with water in return. Squiring she found no where to go, his grasp completely firm with absolutely no escape. “Oh no Bells, what now?” Furiously she shook her head from side to side, at least able to do that much and hoping to whack him with her ponytail. “Drew, let go!” she laughed out – which was a very big mistake. She spit up more water and squirmed some more, and again failed miserably. Making herself realizing moving was impossible, she worked to get her hose spraying over her shoulder. It was true she was just getting herself wetter, but at least she was getting Drew in the face at the same time.

There was no life on Mars, that was for sure. Still he wouldn't let all the Star Wars nuts and galatic invaders be dissapointed, so they'd just keep that to themselves. There was no air for that matter on the planet, so if there were any beings, they wouldn't be human. That's enough to turn Drew off, he didn't want to discover green creatures with five eyes and no legs, what was the use in that? Save that for a horror flick, but keep it out of reality please. "Honesty's the best policy" He mocked, not being a fan of that one at all. "Confusion is what I do best, and though it's not intentional, I can see your point. Witch and muggle tv isn't anywhere near the same. I'll try to keep my muggle references to a minimum." There was an advantage to living in a muggle world, you aced muggle studies, now didn't ya. "Kiss a wookie, kick a droid, fly the falcon, through an asteroid, til the princess, get's annoyed...." He sung quietly, just for annoyance's sake. It was nearly annoying him as much as it was her, what a sacrifice.
"Exactly, it's settled then. Besides, I'm not planning on being around if you get started on that. The next thing you'd know you'd be getting muscles and tallking like a guy. Let's not switch gender roles, sounds like a good plan to me." Drew shook his head at Bella, like sometimes he wondered if she fully listened to him before she starting going. "Bella." He smirked looking annoyed and amused at the same time, "That was the point. There's no such thing as a saintly sly...." He stopped himself. "Never mind." A smugish appearance was about his face as he went back to what he was doing. "I think it'd look good on you, you sure you wouldn't want to try it? Following the rules is a waste of time anyway." Perhaps the only reason he was made a prefect, was in a vain attempt to make him a better behaved student. Really what they were thinking Drew didn't have the slightest clue.
"Haha, gonna make me bring an apple to the professor? Pick up trash in the halls? Tell Dumbledore his beard looks well groomed today?" Drew chuckled. Moments later he had her in a tight hold, with really only one escape. Drew, let go! "What would be the fun in that? It's revenge sweetheart" He laughed. Bella finally got her own hose up and around his head to spray her in the face, and now they were at a standstill. Neither one was winning, they were just getting more and more soaked as time went on. Throwing his hose to the ground, he picked her up around the legs and swung her over his back like a sack of potatoes, laughing. "When are you going to admit defeat? I've got all day....but I think the blood may start rushing to your head, so you probably don't." He grinned as he stepped out of the way of the rushing water that was on the ground, though getting any wetter probably wasn't possible at this point.

What on earth was he going on about? Clearly he seemed to know what he was talking about, but whether or not if was fact or fiction she would never be able to know. He could have made up the entire thing just for kicks and she’d have no way of proving him wrong. Not that it matter much either way…Star Wars… He made it sound like little stars were fighting each other – what was so amazing about that? And who would waste good money to actually view it? Oh God Bella, just stop. She had a hard time believing she was actually thinking about it, and so in-depth – so naturally, she dismissed it entirely after that.
“Let's not switch gender roles, sounds like a good plan to me.” Bella snorted at the casual reference. “I thought we decided that already?” she asked lightly, no other reason but to bug him. If he was going to pick fun at her, she was going to pick back at him. “That was the point. There's no such thing as a saintly sly… - never mind.” Bella grinned for a moment, “Of course not,” she muttered inaudibly, and then clearer “How about this? If I ever feel the need to misbehave in class for whatever reason, I’ll make sure it’s obnoxious enough to be order to wear one of those silly hats and bring it back to you as proof?” There were two obvious flaws with this plan: one, she never would feel such a desire, and two, Hogwarts teachers didn’t even have those silly contraptions. And thank goodness, because otherwise Drew might already have a collection. Bella couldn’t help the quiet laugh that came out of her after glancing at him, picturing the ridiculous cone on his head. What a sight.
She didn’t even have time to answer, “What would be the fun in that? It’s revenge sweetheart!” Bella managed to huff out “Exactly” before she lost hold of her hose, her only weapon falling to the ground…next to the other hose? When had Drew dropped his? Before she could think much more about it, the thought process was interrupted by the feeling of loosing the ground. In the time she blinked Bella had been thrown over his shoulder and was now staring down at the ground. “When are you going to admit defeat? I've got all day…but I think the blood may start rushing to your head, so you probably don't.” Bella pursed her lips, clearly quite defenseless now. And darn it – he was right: she could already feel her mind getting fuzzy. Letting her body become completely limp, she muttered in a childish sulk, “You win.” Bella rolled her eyes, and then asked in mock impatience, “Do you plan on ever turning me upright?” Her hair was beginning to drip down her face – of course, she was already as wet as wet could be, but the dripping was making her skin tingle.

"I don't think they let you take those hats Bella....I would know." They did in fact, never use them, nor did muggles. Muggles used them way back when, but not anymore. They'd just make you look stupid, it wasn't exactly a punishment. "But if you're going to add stealing to your once perfect record, you at least have to make sure I'm around when you do it. Because hmm let me see..." Drew spun her around in a circle, only to make her dizzier. "Breaking curfew," He looked down at the hose on the ground. "assaulting a prefect...tsk tsk." Drew walked back over to the car they had distanced themselves from in the last few minutes. "I swear, one day you'll be an outlaw." He broke into a smile before concealing it, it was the best he could do. It was after all, like telling that to a bunny rabbit, ridiculous.
He paused in his mockery, hearing a barely audible 'you win' coming from the person he was currently holding hostage, upside down. "Uh I'm sorry, what was that? I've got water in my ears you know, you're gonna have to speak up." So he wasn't finished with his mocking quite yet. He bounced up and down, making her shake with him. "Well my original plan was to hang you up to dry, but seeing as I don't remember the spell for that, and I have no laundry pins, I guess this is going to have to do." Drew spun her around one more time, in turn making himself dizzy. He did eventually set her down, but it was in the hoodless car, in the passenger seat. Going over to the pump, he turned off the hose, both of them. The other car in the little lot he had created sat there desolate, and he shook his head at it. It was really a mess he wasn't in the moood to deal with.
Instead, he climbed into the driver's seat of the now, nearly clean car. The original color was present once again as he held up the keys and waved them back and forth in front of Bella's face, much like if he were to try and hypnotize her. With a smirk, he put it into the ignintion and started up the car. "Ever been in a car before Bells?" Driving it was the best part, just ask anyone. Besides, she'd get bored fairly soon enough, and he'd already been working on the cars for hours. He straightened the rear-view mirror and stared straight ahead. "Buckling up would be a good idea." Drew grinned and hit the gas, the car bursting to life.

“I’m sure you would,” Bella muttered, a faint smile ling her lips. She had been careful to stare at a single rock touching the back of Drew’s shoe, ensuring she would at least remain somewhat sane while the better of her blood supply rushed downward to her head, but keeping track of that rock was laughable as the ground started moving. Bella could practically feel her brain rattling around in her head, scarcely catching the words Drew was chuckling out – something about her criminal record. When she could single out another rock, she answered simply “You better be in the jail cell with me then. I’m not about to go and break the rules only to have to watch you get off Scott-free for everything you’ve ever done. I fully intend on blaming you for that criminal record of mine,” she scoffed as an afterthought. Okay, so perhaps is wasn’t really his fault, but she certainly could act like it was.
Bella probably could have drawn her current rock to exact representation, staring at it hard – until she lost sight of it. “Drew!” she half laughed, half moaned – “Do you want be to throw up all over you?” No, she wouldn’t actually reveal to him her breakfast, but hey – if it got him to turn her upright again. “Well my original plan was to hang you up to dry, but seeing as I don't remember the spell for that, and I have no laundry pins, I guess this is going to have to do.” Ha, I’d like to see you try… She didn’t manage to get much further into details on how exactly she’d get him back for that before she could clearly see again. Blinking back into focus, for a moment Bella couldn’t quite exactly pinpoint on where she had been set down. When she figured it out, a small smile crept into her features; partially out of pleasure, partially out of nervousness. There was a reason Bella didn’t know all that much about the silly Muggle contraptions – she’d never technically been in one. Perhaps once or twice as a child, before she could even remember it, but recently? When she could actually recall the memory? No.
Almost as if reading her thoughts (which was entirely possible, being the facial person she was), he asked “Ever been in a car before Bells?” Whatever he was trying to do to her by swinging the keys in front of her, she couldn’t say but regardless her gaze followed the shinning metal. Bella’s focus was lost as he swiped them out of her vision, almost confused on where he’d put them until she saw the key’s neatly in the key ignition – that much, she knew. “Buckling up would be a good idea.” Sadly Bella actually had to think about what he meant. The engine nearly startled, ruining conclusions she’d almost come to. “Oh!” she recalled foolishly, finally clicking together the seatbelt. Pushing the hair sticking to her face out of the way, she glanced out the window, and then at Drew. “And you know how to drive this thing?” she asked suspiciously, unable to fully hide the worry in her voice. Wouldn’t that be something – die by car accident.

"For everything I've done, no I guess that wouldn't be fair. You're forgetting you have no idea what I've done, and if I've really done anything at all." Drew chuckled, he lied more than half the time, so when and where he was telling the truth was hard to say. Lies kept things interesting, life was boring without it. Think of it as stretching the truth, if you'd like. "But I doubt you'd get into trouble without me, unless you were framed. Then again....you did give that group of third years on the stairs a pretty nasty look on our way out to the lake last week." Drew smiled innocently, well at least somewhat-innocently as he said this. Criminal record for breaking curfew. ha. It would be interesting to know what exactly he had to do to finally get his perfect priveledges taken away from him. However, the bonus of using the prefect bathroom kept him from doing anything too over the line. Besides this was Drew, he wasn't all that meancing.
Do you want me to throw up all over you? He snorted as he continued to spin her around. "Is that some kind of a trick question? What kind of question is that anyway?" He went with the fact that she was bluffing, he had to believe that Bella had a stronger stomach than that. As long as she didn't get ill in his car, that would ruin the day. "No, but I like seeing you all vunerable like this, your tongue doesn't seem to send out quite so many quick insults as it usually does." He smirked at that one, it was true. She was more focused on her current situation, then she was at retorts. After setting her down he took off in the car, it was the best part about it...clearly. No satisfaction without work, and this always paid off.
And you know how to drive this thing? Drew turned to look at her for a swift moment, before looking at the dirt road again, driving over bumps and rocks that they passed by. Dust was flying up around them, and the cleaning of the car had almost been pointless. At least you could still tell what color it was. "Nope. I thought it would be simple enough to figure out. I mean if you think about it, there's only two pedals. There's a fifty percent chance the one you hit will be the break." A smile reached the corner of his lips as he rounded the bend smoothly, and the wizards and witches became more dense the farther they went. Every person they passed by stopped to stare, more out of confusion then anything else. "There's also a fifty percent chance that it will be the gas, but we just won't think about that." He continued, loving to watch the reactions she got on her face.

“I could guess,” she fired back, “How on earth did you get to ever be Prefect? Was it some sort of lame attempt in thinking that if you acted up they’d take it away, like some weird physiological thing?” That theory seemed plausible. I mean, it was a bit twisted – rewarding him for acting up so that he wouldn’t act up because if he did they’d take the reward away. Just trying to form it into a coherent thought was difficult – kudos to the one who came up with such a strange plan of action. “Then again....you did give that group of third years on the stairs a pretty nasty look on our way out to the lake last week.” Bella gritted her teeth to keep from smiling – she never was going to hear the end of that. “Well, is was necessary. I wasn’t about to leave my things sprawled out in the hallway and I wasn’t about to just let you wander off all by yourself either. What if that unicorn we saw had taken charge at you and you ended up bleeding all alone in the Forest to die? That wouldn’t be good at all, but since I was there I could have helped you out. You have to admit it would have been boring without me – you wouldn’t have anyone to push into the lake.” Fighting her smile became impossible. The memory was forever planted into her brain.
“What kind of question is that anyway?” Bella laughed, “One that’s supposed to persuade you to put me down?” Her reply was overlooked though, “But I like seeing you all vulnerable like this, your tongue doesn't seem to send out quite so many quick insults as it usually does.” Her expression softened, realizing she had been opening up more almost as an involuntary response to him. All things considered, it wasn’t a bad reaction by any means, but actually reflecting on it…it was a strange sensation. He probably hadn’t mean to lunch her into a long thought process over that matter, but it happened all the same. Bella decided to let it be for now, watching the world pass by her window. After a moment of contemplation, she finally answered “You can’t expect me to have a remark to everything you say, can you? Even when I try you always seem to beat me anyways.” She glanced at him sideways, a knowing sort of smirk on her lips. “You can’t deny it either,” she added with a small laugh, and the shake of her head. Admitting he might just be better at something then her was new.
There was only one logical conclusion she could draw from his words: Drew was sent to this world for the sole purpose of driving her mad in every good and bad way possible. That was all there was to it. Clearly he knew how to drive the car, but at the same time she couldn’t help but wonder if he really was just guessing – there was only two pedals after all, just like he said. Fifty-fifty chance, right…? Oh Bella, stop it! She couldn’t even believe she was having such thoughts. If he spent as much time dinking around with cars as he said he did, of course he knew how to drive one. What would be the point of going through all the trouble to fix them if you couldn’t do anything with them afterwards? Driving them was the best part, he had said. And obviously that was true – he had the funniest little grin on his face she couldn’t say she’d ever seen before. Although, that might just be a natural reaction to the curious worry on her face. Trying to control her expression a little bit more then she had been, she answered calmly “Of course not. I just won’t think about the fact that you could potentially have no idea what you’re doing, hit the wrong pedal, and crash right into one of those poor pedestrians.” She gestured out her window, finding it rather entertaining to catch glimpses of those passing. Cars were as foreign to them as they were to her. “Simple. Just don’t think about it. Of course.” The dry humor itched into every word couldn’t be more evident. Maybe she wasn’t so prone to insults anymore, but she certainly could match his sarcasm level.

"I've often wondered that. It's kept me up late at night, trying to figure out why they would punish the poor students of our noble school by making a deliquent like me hold the high privelige of a prefect position." Drew responsed sarcastically. He did wonder sometimes what they were thinking, but never into that much depth. "Then I remember, yeh, I don't care." Dumbledore always had a reason, that man never seemed to make a mistake. It was however his first, and would be his only year of being a perfect, so maybe they hadn't had time to decide he wasn't a suitable choice yet. Of course if you were sifting through the pile of hufflepuffs in the school, you had to try and find someone who could hold their own. "The unicorn we saw." Drew smirked with a teasing look that was directed towards Bella. "The unicorn you chased after and got lost because of, and I had to come find you because you were scared out of your wits...that unicorn?" He couldn't find the relation between a unicorn wanting to get away from them, and one who came and attacked him. A unicorn, attacking. Now that was funny.
"You have to persuade better, I'm a stubborn guy." If they could find a conversation out of hanging Bella upside down, they could very well find a conversation out of just about anything. "What's this? Are you admitting that I might actually be better at something than you? Are you admitting defeat?" He put on like he was feinting surprise, but all the same, he was rather surprised. "It may only be about witty replies but I'll relish in this small satisfaction all the same" Drew poked further before finally setting her down. You can't deny it either. He laughed and shook his head vigoriously. "Oh no, I wasn't planning to." After starting up the car, he could see that Bella was beginning to have some sort of panic attack. "Come on Bells, were's the faith? You don't really think I'd kill you...on purpose" he grinned.
"Poor pedestrians." Drew waved one hand before continuing. "They're just teenagers." He said this as if it made all the difference, though he knew it didn't. Turning the steering wheel just a little bit, he swurved to the right, scaring the crap out of a group of what looked like six year ravenclaws walking down the road. Drew saluted them as they scowled, passing by just as quickly. He clicked his tongue and drove straight again, glancing at Bella once. "There's a group who won't be too happy with me at school tomorrow." Drew reached out to run the back of his hand down the side of Bella's cheek. "Relax won't you? I'm not out to kill anyone. And as it is, the middle pedal is the break, the small right pedal is the gas, just so you're aware."

“Of course not,” she replied smoothly, and then added jokingly “All you care about are those weird clabbert things…” It was very unlikely she would ever forget about that – clabberts…pfft. “…that unicorn?” Bella gritted her teeth, almost regretting bringing it up when he put it like that – okay, yeah, she’d ran off, and yeah, she’d accidentally gotten herself lost, and yeah, she had been scared out of her mind but…well, you never know! It could have attack! And this is coming from the girl that single-handedly ran after it, with no one else in sight, in the middle of the Forbidden Forest…it’s ‘forbidden’ for a reason... “Well, you never know,” she scoffed back, repeating her thoughts. “You are a guy after all; and that’s not being a sexist either – it’s just the plain, cold truth. It’s in their nature to hate males…you’re probably the reason it ran off in the first place,” she accused, pointing a finger at him threateningly. Feeling somewhat more satisfied with herself, she dropped her hand back into her lap and turned to face the window before he’d be able to see her smirk. God it was hard to keep a straight face around him.
Bella had set into something of a lull before one word broke into her train of thought: “Are you admitting defeat?” Immediately thereafter she looked back over to him, disbelief on her face. “That’s what you think I’m doing? Heavens no, more like just accepting the facts and stating them for what they’re worth. I mean, I might be able to outwit you in any class, but when it comes to simply being a nonchalant, do-what-I-want-when-I-want, let’s-break-some-rules-and-not-get-caught kind of guy, well, I’d say that’s your area of expertise.” Bella smiled, sensing a small victory – she had just managed to not only support her view and make herself look fabulous, but also slyly worked in an insult and tore apart his logic in a few simple sentences. If that wasn’t persuasion, well, what else could it be? [*Chuckle, chuckle*]
“Come on Bells, where’s the faith? You don’t really think I’d kill you...on purpose.” On purpose. Hmpth. Bella had almost considered believing that, evenly beginning to breathe in and out when she was jerked towards her right and couldn’t help the small gasp that left her. I’m going to die! But in a few short seconds the car was already straightened out and seemingly under complete control. Well, there went the normal heart rate. She could feel her pulse quickening even as the car fell back into it’s place. “There’s a group who won’t be too happy with me at school tomorrow.” He was completely unconcerned. “I won’t be happy with you tomorrow!” she huffed, nerves going haywire, “You could have killed them!” An over exaggeration maybe, but…well, she was prone to take things to the extreme. She blinked a few times to dull down the shock and master even breathing again. “Relax won’t you? I’m not out to kill anyone.” Her eyes closed at his touch, smiling just slightly. “Could’a fooled me,” she murmured, only glancing at him with one eye open. At the small explanation Bella turned her full gaze towards his shoes and the pedals concealed below. “Fifty-fifty,” she agreed with a quiet laugh.
OOC: Ahahahahaha, I like RPing Bella freaked out…it’s fun! XD
