OOC: Hmm, so for purposes of having some time elapse, let’s say it’s been roughly one/two weeks-ish and neither girl has come in contact with the other yet.
Kalib strode silently through the corridors with Knight upon his shoulder, loving the reaction to his bird as other students passed. Once or twice a few first years had approached him and asked if they could pet Knight; one boy his age had given an approving nod and even a group of girls had pinned him and not only demanded they be able to stroke his magnificent owl, but managed to slip him small doses of parchment with names, Houses, and meeting places. He slyly accepted them all, but found he had enough trouble with girls at the moment and burnt them in his palm as they turned the corner and out of sight. If he held onto to any of them he was likely to accidentally track them down. He didn’t need anymore girlfriends.
So far he’d had about a week of peace. He’d been able to spend time with Annette, who still hadn’t found out about Mariella and spend time with Mariella, who – thankfully – had stayed true to her word and didn’t pursue finding Annette. It had been difficult at times, holding one of them and thinking of the other. He kept battling with himself, addressing the fact that he couldn’t keep doing this forever. Eventually it would blow up in his face and he’d be left with one or no girls. The option of one was good, still having one, but if left with none, well, he was sure he’d been able to recognize on sight one of the frilly girls that had caught him in the hallway.
But in truth, he knew he would be left with one girl; he would be left with Mariella, who even when exposed to the knowledge hadn’t left him on the spot. Besides, would he bother going through all this trouble if he didn’t have enough time with her to finish his plans? Kalib glanced down at the envelope secured in his hand – no, he certainly wouldn’t be going through the trouble if he didn’t think so.
So far Kalib had managed to get rough outline of what he wanted done, but every time he tried to actually create it the thing would either blow up in his face – literally – and he’d be left with a bunch of ashes or it turned out so poorly it would be embarrassing to show anyone else. Not so long ago (and after giving Zane a black eye) he’d confined in him his troubles. His friend had led him onto a substance that might just solve his problems. It was worth a shot, right? Worst comes to worst, he’ll have a few more burnt fingertips.
He jogged up the stairs to the Owlery, taking two at a time. This annoyed Knight, whom had already made it to his perch when Kalib caught up with him. “Show off,” he muttered as Knight stuck out his leg, unfazed. He laughed, “But I guess you learned that from me, eh?” He could have sworn he saw Knight nod.
Kalib sent his owl off, staring out the window as he soared away. With any luck, Knight would return in a few days time.
OOC: So I guess Mariella can post next…and then…dun dun DUN!!!

Ah, a letter from her parents and her sister, it was absolutely delightful. Her parents had sent their normal letter, telling her that they hoped she was well and her grades were fine. The normal fare for parents when sending a letter. The highlight of her day had to be the one she received from her sister. Mariella and her sister were always close, their age differences making sure of that. Her sister's letters were always intriguing, sharing of the various things that she was doing in college, the boys thats she was dating and even a few other her designs.
Mariella loved looking at them, watching the pictures move and twist about in their fashion walks, the colors transforming and changing to give a look at the many different design possibilities. Mariella simply had to write her sister back immediately, to tell her of how wonderful the designs were and to congratulate her on her newest catch.
She sat in the Great Hall, quickly writing out a letter, her handwriting coming out much curvier than normal It was beautifully twisted but still looked extremely italicized. She wrote a very personal letter, confiding in her sister about Kalib, telling her of how her school work was going and saying Quidditch was wonderful. She could feel herself smiling as she began to finish up her letter, signing her name with a dramatic swish of her quill. Pulling out her wand, she gently tapped it, the words disappearing. She did enjoy keeping her letters private, not really trusting any of her sister's room mates that might get to the letter before her. She would write back to her parents later, feeling that she simply must get back to her sister soon.
Her walk to the Owlery was quick and fast paced, a small smirk plastered on her face. She really didn't mind walking so far, it really was nothing to her. She had spent hours in her first year just exploring and she probably did so every now and then so this was so relaxing. Crossing her arms over her chest, she twirled the rolled piece of parchment around her fingers lightly. Soon enough she had arrived at the Owlery, the scent of bird droppings hinting at that.
Going up the winding stairs, Mariella almost jumped out of her skin as she caught sight of Kalib. What a coincidence...Smirking, Mariella walked over to him, arms wrapping around his waist, head resting against his back. "Well hello there...." she murmured softly, before smiling and letting him go, taking a few steps back. "You sending a letter too?"
OOC:Heheh, oh this is so fun! This will be so much fun!

Yes, with any luck Knight would be soaring back to him in a few days time. Surely it couldn’t take longer then that? His directions upon his orders were simple enough and he’d already bother in taking care of the charges. He had no reason to be delayed in his purchases, and if he was, they’d be receiving a rather dirty complaint letter. With that in mind, Kalib maintained his content posture once more.
Content was short lived though: “Well hello there…” If he hadn’t been so focused on the window and watching as the black owl disappeared, he probably – no, he certainly – wouldn’t have jumped slightly. Perhaps if there had been distance she wouldn’t have noticed, but coolly wrapped it was bound to be noticed. Kalib grasped her hands and pulled them apart, turning to face her, re-wrapping her hands now behind his back. “You can’t just sneak up on me like that love; I might have hexed you for it.” An evil little glint shown in his eyes – any other person and he probably would have.
Covering up his fault, he went going uninterrupted, “As for the letter, yes, I was sending one. I don’t just come up here for the smell or anything.” He rolled his eyes, “Because that’s why everyone comes up here, right?” He’d seen her letter briefly, vaguely wondering who’d she be writing to – family most likely. “It was just a letter to my father; he’s miles away and I talk to him more then my own mother who’s only a few floors apart.” He smirked, watching the breeze from the window lightly turn her hair. Lifting a hand to tuck it neatly back behind Mariella’s ear, he noted casually “Did you do something new with your hair? You look more stunning then usual.”
OOC: Annette, feel free to bust in when you feel tis "opportune".

Mariella smiled as she looked at up at Kalib, feeling him rewrap her arms about his torso. She was pressed close to him, her body curvaceous chest pressed against his hardened one. She leaned in, eyebrow rising at the mock threat, a smirk coming to her lips. "Oh, well I simply would've sent it back dear..." she said teasingly. "It would've been nothing against you, just a girl has to defend herself, you know?" Mariella of course wouldn't have hexed Kalib, but had she been hexed first probably would've deflected it somewhere else. Someone else and it would've ended badly, very dangerously for she probably would have sent something much worse back.
Mariella nodded her head slowly as she listened to him, sticking out her tongue out at him as he said the smart comment. Well, his parents were divorced, or maybe it was just an assumption. Hm, well, she did have more than enough time to learn about him, didn't she? She could just ask later. Mariella smiled at the faint breeze, the smell of bird droppings seeming to dissipate. Her hair blew about her face just slightly as she looked up at him, a slight blush coming to her cheeks. How she did love those comments...She shook her head slowly to her question before chuckling softly. "You really flatter me much too much, you know?" She placed a light kiss upon his cheek. "I'm just sending a letter to my sister. We talk often so I guess it's not as special as yours...But I'm just responding to a letter my sister had sent me yesterday."
Shrugging her shoulders lightly, she moved from Kalib's arms and walked over to a small owl, it being light brown and white in color. She gently stroked the small creature, it nipping her lightly upon the finger in an affectionate way. This was the owl she had used for years, the adorable little owl that she adored. She called him Caffe, in reference to his color. "Well, you know where to go little one...To my sister, okay?" she asked it before securing the note with the many pieces of string that were left there for students. Taking the owl to the window, she released it into the sky, waving affectionately. Turning back to Kalib, her arms wrapped back around him, eyes shining in happiness. "Well, now that we're done with that...what would you like to do?" She could only imagine the dumb answer for they were still in the Owlery and not somewhere most couples would go to.
Edit: OOC: Um, now I'm a bit confused. Is Annette going to catch them, Kalib and her are going to break up and are Mariella and him are going to stay together? Or are Kalib and Annette going to stay together?

OOC: Well, I’ve no idea what Annette plans to do, however the aftereffect is Kalib being dumped and left with Mariella. Of course, it’s a bit more in depth then that, but in the long run.
“I might lie about things, but certainly when it comes to your beauty I would never joke. I just happen to note on things is all, nothing more,” he said a matter-of-factly. But his comment seemingly went unnoticed as Mariella busied herself with a small brown owl. He’d never been particularly fond of the school owls. He’d had Knight for some time now and found that was the only bird he’d really trust with his letters. Of course, the school owls were perfectly fine animals; Kalib supposed it was more of a comfort thing then really worry about whether his recipient would get the letter or not.
He watched the little owl fly out the window, vanishing as Knight had. He was almost lulled back into his haze when Mariella wrapped her arms around him again. By no means did he mind in the least, slinging his arms back around her casually. He was watching across her shoulder as she spoke though, smiling as two owls shuffled beside each other. He didn’t know exactly how owl relations worked, but they seemed to be friends, all snuggled up against each other with their heads ducked down. He knew they were sleeping, but it looked funny – almost like they were plotting something, voices (or rather hoots) kept down low.
It took him a moment to realize she’s stopped talking. Kalib blinked back into reality and let the two owls slip from his mind. “I’ve got no place to be,” he said after a moment of thought, “I wouldn’t mind giving it up to you. My only request is that its outside – after coming up here fresh air is always needed.” He smirked, “Come on – what’d you say? If you just say yes it’ll save me the trouble of trying to persuade you…” He was lightly kissing her now, muttering between breaths “You know I always win if it comes down to will power…”
OOC: I say give it like 2 more posts and then Annette can bust it all dramatic like. lol.

"You know, you are much too sweet", Mariella murmured softly as she looked at him. The feel of his arms about her body, it was such a comfortable position. She rested her head against his chest, slightly under his chin. Her eyes were slowly drawn over to the other two owls as well, smirking just slightly. She knew those two were friends, the best, but she didn't really mention it. Mariella knew a lot about this creatures, often coming up here and writing her letter and curiously learning things about the small winged creatures. She chuckled softly as she looked back to him. She rolled her eyes slowly as she looked at Kalib, listening to his comment. Funny man, funny man.
"Of course, if you need fresh air then we shouldn't keep you waiting..."she said before smirking. "I understand that you can't handle it..." Of course a tease, but Mariella wondered how he might react to her jostling. Man always seemed to react sourly when their pride's were poked at. Although, she soon felt his lips upon hers, a small smile coming to her lips as she gently pressed back. Her eyebrow rose slightly at his next comment. She now continued to kiss him back, speaking in between light kisses. "Oh really now?...Was that a challenge, senor?"
Well, now he had given her a challenge of willpower, she unable to simple give up the chance to prove herself. She kissed him back lightly on the lips. "Well I think that I want to stay up here a little more...you may leave if you'd like..." Of course, an empty threat but he didn't need to know that. That could be her own little secret, her putting up a fake front to be with him.
OOC:Okay, I was just making sure. That's what I thought was going to happen.

OOC: ;D
“Real funny,” Kalib muttered, “You think you’re a real smooth talker, don’t you? I’ve got news for you…” He’d paused his affections for a moment, staring her in the eyes with a smirk, “I’m better,” he whispered against her lips. He closed the minuscule gap, longing for her kisses. It was silly how addicted he’d become to them. With a twinge of regret his mind led him to the thought that he liked hers better. God Kalib…
He was turned over to his monstrous side, the side that didn’t care. The one that wasn’t aware they were in the stinky Owlery and that anyone could waltz up any moment. It was the side of him that loved Mariella’s sweet words as well as her lingering kisses. No, it didn’t matter, nothing matter but keeping her feeling secured and loved. Almost involuntarily he pulled her closer; that male instinct that never wanted to be alone.
“You’re not staying up here by yourself,” he murmured lightly across her neck, “I don’t care how much you like it up here. I thought we decided you were going to be mine for today? You can’t honestly think that’s possible if I’m outside and you’re stuck up here? Really Mariella, I thought you were smarter then that…” A small tease could go a long way, “Please?” he whispered longingly, “Don’t make me leave by myself…?” He put his best puppy dog face on, his frown touching her smile.
OOC: Queue Annette! *Laughs her head off* Such a sweet moment about to go sour.

Darn it all... Anette was trying desperately to get some last minute homework done, and the darn first years in the Hufflepuff common room really weren't helping her concentration in the slightest... She just needed to finish this essay... Just two more paragraphs would probably do it. Wait- how do you spell "ineffectively"? Anette hated spelling... She'd have to see if Bella would look over her paper when she was finished. The two young Hufflepuff girls making most of the racket were getting louder, drawing Anette's attention once more from her paper. They were shouting about something, obviously having some sort of a cat fight while the common room as practically empty. It didn't look too serious, and threatened to end as one of the girls began to walk away towards her dorm. Anette turned back to her paper with a roll of her eyes. Thank God she was done being eleven... This just seemed to anger the other girl more as she yelled at the retreating girl's back, "What, you going to go cry to your mum, Sarah?" Anette's eyes snapped open, jerking up from her essay with a groan. Her mom! She'd forgotten to write to her family for an entire week! Her mom had made Anette promise to, since she was going to a new school and all, but after the first couple of weeks things had gotten so busy... Grabbing a spare piece of parchment and grabbing her quill back off of the table, Anette quickly scribbled a hasty letter to her family: Mom & Dad,
Things are great here, couldn't be better. I miss you lots. Sorry I couldn't write more, I have this huge paper to write and it's seriously just slipped my mind. I've been so busy lately, hope everyone's doing great. Kalib's fine since my last letter, I've been trying to get him to study more, but that hasn't really been working, hehe... Hope Ray, Joelle, and you two are all doing well.
Much love!AnetteRolling up the newly written letter and tying it with a yellow and black ribbon she pulled from her hair, Anette ran, sprinting, out of the common room and towards the Owlery. The sooner she got the stupid letter sent, the less likely she would be to recieve a Howler in the morning mail... As she neared the Owlery, Anette slowed her pace just slightly. She hated to run, and was breathing heavily for it. You see, if you'd just run every once in a while, She told herself almost bitterly, maybe you wouldn't be out of breath every time you tried to run... Shaking her head and chuckling to herself, Anette pushed open the wooden door to the Owlery. Now all she needed was a school owl and- Anette stood motionless, her smile and laugh long gone. Her eyes flitted back and forth from Kalib to Mariella (not a long distance)... From his lips to hers... From their arms, their bodies. She just stood there... Her mind couldn't seem to work, to understand what was going on. Her face was expressionless, if not slightly shocked. The only thing she knew was that she didn't want to be here anymore. She didn't want to see Kalib, see him wrapped around some tart like... like... ... OOC: Sorry it took so long, I couldn't think of a reason for her to be in the Owlery...

The silence became defining and almost at once Kalib froze. Between staring Mariella down and keeping a steady gaze over her shoulder he felt ready to hurl. At the moment, he absolutely loathed Karma. What comes around goes around. Well why did it have to come back around to him right now? Kalib couldn’t seem to remember how to move. Kalib, let go, you need to let go, right now. Kalib, take a step back. He seemed very immobilized. No movement seemed to happen.
What felt like hours was probably only a few measly seconds, but Kalib finally found his muscles and forced them to move. Almost roughly he grabbed Mariella by the waist and pushed her back, giving clear distance between them. Oh crap. It was bound to happen, he’d thought he’d been braced for it. But no, no he hadn’t. In all reality, Kalib had no idea how to handle this. He found himself silently swearing at himself for letting himself get in another mess like this. That little beast inside him that had been so sure was now fretting around like a child. Oh my God, say something!
“Annette…” he said shakily, so hard to utter her name. “I didn’t…that was just…” What was he supposed to tell her? ‘Oh, hi Annette. Just to let you know, I’ve been cheating on you for a while now. This is Mariella, she’s taken your place. I’m really sorry about that.’ Oh yeah, that would go over just great. Kalib couldn’t find the words to tell her…why had it been so easy to talk to her for so long now and now…now he couldn’t manage a single syllable?
OOC: No worries. ;D
EDIT: OOC: BTW, just so no one's like "hmm, should I post now?" we should probably establish posting order: Kalib, Mariella, Annette? Or maybe Kalib, Annette, Mariella...cause more then likely Mariella would have to react to what Kalib and Annette were saying... All in favor of Kalib, Annette, Mariella?

OOC: That sounds fine, I'm sorry I haven't posted since yesterday, life's been hectic. BIC: “Annette…I didn’t…that was just…”As Kalib pushed the other girl away from him, Anette's eyes traveled with her. Staring blankly, her eyes wide and her mouth barely open, Anette managed to tear her eyes away from the girl at the sound of his voice. Her milk chocolate eyes flew to Kalib's, but she said nothing... Anette's breathing sped and her chin began to tremble, threatening tears. "No!" Anette turned her head away from both of them, her fists clentched and knuckles white. She yelled more for herself than for anything Kalib had said. She would not let him see her cry... The bastard... Without another word, Anette took a deep, strangled breath and ran from the Owlery. She didn't want to see him anymore... Ever again... Anette ran like she never had before, down the steps and onto the grassy clearing at the bottom. A few trees speckled the earth, and, refusing to think, she ran to one, sliding down it until she was sitting on her bottom. Anette just sat there, the bark of the tree rough against the smooth skin of her back, but she didn't complain. Whiping out her wand, she flicked it once and muttered a quick spell. She had learned the simple charm in her 3rd year at the Salem Witches Institute, which made her practically invisable to anyone looking. It was useless for close up, since it caused a heat wave-like sensation to appear where she was, but from far off it was incredibly handy... How could he? Anette repeated the thought in her head over and over again, as tears now flowed freely down her cheeks. She burried her head in her lap as her sobs increased, trying to muffle them. How could he?

Mariella was just as surprised as Kalib and Annette were, getting an instant understanding of the situation by the way they were reacting. 'That must be the girlfriend...or soon to be ex...' Mariella gave a small hint of a smirk before it shrunk back down into a cold, yet curious stare. She began to nervously gnaw on her lip as she saw Kalib begin to stare her down, almost as if to tell her to keep her mouth shut. Like she really was going to get in between this, she was simply going to watch whatever went down between these two. This wasn't exactly her situation to deal with, even if she was involved. She didn't, however, appreciate the rough shove that Kalib did to create some space in between them. She couldn't help the natural glared that rebounded towards Kalib till she realized it was the first thing he could mustered to do when he was this shaken up.
She bit her lip gently as she looked between the two, hopefully trying to tell his girlfriend that it was her fault, not her own. His words were wavering, he seemed so damned shaky, so damned afraid. "It was me..." Mariella said before hearing her shout, eyes closing at it. She could feel the girl's eyes on her, probably reading her lie, even though Mariella was somewhat talented at it. 'No!' Mariella didn't flinch but on the inside she could feel a minuscule amount of pain for Kalib. Yea, Mariella had gotten exactly what she wanted, she had gotten Kalib. Yet...at the same time she could see the pain that etched Kalib's features when the girl turn and ran out of the room. Mariella truthfully didn't know what to do, to comfort him or to leave him be. To allow him to run after the girl or to make him stay put. She definitely didn't want to let him run after her, for even if he did that wouldn't help. No girl willingly came back after seeing something like that...unless they were incredibly weak. Hm, but she was a Hufflepuff so maybe she'd come running back with her little badger tail between her leg. If Mariella wasn't worried about Kalib, she would've snickered at her thought. Gently and timidly, she placed her hand lightly upon Kalib's shoulder as if she were afraid of backlash. "Kalib..."she muttered softly.

It was ridiculously stupid, having carefully kept both girls from consuming his mind over the past week or so and now not able to think of anything but. He didn’t know what to do with Annette – how laughable it would be to say sorry. Sorry didn’t cut it in times like these. Sorry was for when you messed up, not for when you broke someone’s heart in two. And that was exactly what he had just done…what he had been doing along with full knowledge of it. As for Mariella, what to say to her? She knew he preferred her – oh how horrible that sounded – but with Annette staring so blankly at him, Kalib wasn’t sure he should even dare say a word to Mariella. On their end, things were a little rocky but on the end connected with Annette…it was shattered.
Her voice seemed to not leave him, “No!” it screamed over and over, making his head ach. He had to do something, maybe not say sorry, but he couldn’t just let it end like that… Something… Kalib, move… But Annette was streaking down the steps, already out of view. He turned to Mariella, mouth partially open from shock. “I have to…I can’t let it end…” Forming sentences was a lot harder then he ever thought it could have been. Kalib wanted to reach out to her and for a moment, he hand was raised to brush hers, but he found he couldn’t do it, not now. “I’d rather you not… I mean…” He hand dropped back to his side, pained. “I’ll come find you later, I promise. We’re going to need to talk.” Kalib took a deep breath, “It’s just…when this is over… I think I’m going to need some company.” He finally mounted the courage and wrapped his hand around hers, giving it a tight squeeze. “I’ll come find you, I promise,” he repeated and then darted out the door.
By the time he’d managed to run down the stairs, Annette was already gone and out of sight. He couldn’t let her get away like that. He had to talk to her, he had. Kalib was well aware the last person she would want to talk to would be him, but had to find her… Where would she go? She couldn’t have gotten far… There were a few random trees to his left, the castle headed up by his right. If she had been running, there was no way she would have made it to the castle yet. Preying he was right, Kalib walked slowly towards the trees. He had almost giving up when he noticed some of the grass was being pressed down by invisible weight…it wasn’t blowing easily like the rest of it’s fellows, joining in the breeze. Kalib knew he had to keep distance, so settled on leaning against the tree next to what he hoped was where Annette was trying to hide.
Speaking blindly to the air, he muttered “You have every right to loath me; to be perfectly honest, I loath myself. I never meant to hurt you like that; you’ve been so good to me and all this time…” He shook his head, looking out across the grounds. “I never told you when I met you, that girls never seem to stay with me very long. You were too perfect and I didn’t want to break that innocence. I found myself playing along with it, like I was some little good boy that could be tamed. I was trying to convenience myself more then you really. I thought maybe you could help me, break this bad…habit I have… But I’m not here to ask you forgiveness, because I don’t deserve it. I just wanted to let you know you’re still as special to me as when I first met you. I couldn’t let the last words between us be so…awful…”
Kalib stared up to the Owlery now, where Mariella still hadn’t left. “She had nothing to do with it, I won’t blame her. Please, if you’re going to hate anyone, hate me. I could have stopped her but she felt so right.” He was staring back at the grass now, looking at his feet. “I just hope I haven’t hurt you permanently. There are good guys out there…I’m just…not one of them… Don’t let my mistake damage any relationship you have later…” He sucked in a deep breath, still wondering if he’d guessed right or rather if he was simply speaking to the air. “If you don’t want to talk I understand. I’m not even sure if you’re there,” he added with a humorless laugh, “If you want to get up and walk away…I won’t stop you.”

Sitting beneath the tree, her head still in her lap, Anette shook uncontrollably. It was all she could do to keep from wailing in her misery... What had he said the other day? That Hufflepuffs were hopeless pushovers, besides her, of course. Well, apparently not. If she couldn't even keep her first real boyfriend from going off and snogging another girl (or worse, but Anette was avoiding thinking of that), what did that say about her?
That you're a pathetic, mediocre girlfriend who guys have no respect for, that evil voice in her head stated calmly, to Anette's dismay. Anette gulped, her lips trembling, but did not allow herself the luxery of a noisy cry. Sitting here had to be calming enough... There was nothing she loved more in the world than to be outside, in nature. Even so, she couldn't help it as silent tears ran down her cheeks.
Wallowing in distress, Anette didn't even notice Kalib walking towards the tree and sitting down next to her until he started speaking. At the sound of his voice, Anette gave a jump, but didn't move after that. All self-pity turned completely and suddenly to fury, locking her into place. Anette didn't want to listen to what he had to say, but it seems now she had no choice. That other side of her mind kept her there, telling her that she needed to hear him out, if only just to hear his side.
At the end of his speech, Anette was quivering, but not from holding tears in. Anger had spread like a flame through her entire body, and taking her wand back out, she removed the charm from her to make herself visable again. Anette took a deep breath, her breathing just as tremorous as the rest of her. When she spoke, her voice was hard and frigid, though it did have a bit of a choked sound to it.
"I won't walk away... I told you before, I'm certainly not a brave person, but I'm not sure this requires bravery... At least not bravery of that sort. But me still being special to you?" Anette gave a chilling laugh, "That's absurd. How special can I be to you when you coulnd't even keep yourself from cheating on me? You don't give a damn, Kalib..."
Anette looked up towards the Owlery, knowing Kalib couldn't see her doing so from behind the tree, but not caring. Bitterness spread through her voice. "And her... Don't you dare tell me she has nothing to do with it! She has everything to do with it! I don't even know who she is... Slytherin, right? Sexy little thing, was she? Just too much to resist... You know, forget your girlfriend, just get what you want, right?"
Anette had to stop speaking. She was shaking so badly that continuing just wasn't practical. Her voice had been trembling more and more as she had gone on, and at this point tears had begun to roll even mroe freely down her cheeks. Anette could feel a sob trying to break free inside her chest, but she wouldn't let it. Not in front of him...
She jumped up and walked around to stand in from of Kalib. Her rich brown eyes sparkled, not with love or joy, but with fresh tears and pain. It hurt so bad to look at him... He really was the most attractive man she'd ever met. Now, though the butterflies in her stomach gave a leap, she felt physically sick just looking at him. Kalib had let that other girl... They had... He had... Anette's fists clentched again, shaking.
"Kalib," She spoke finally, her voice choked as she glared down at him. "You should have just broken up with me if you found someone better. Which you obviously did."

Mariella looked at Kalib, biting her lip hard and slowly nodding her head. She understood, from what she learned from him, that he truly cared about the both of them and couldn't let Anette go like this. She flinched as she watched him, seeing the shock on his face and feeling so much sympathy for the boy. Even though she now had him all to herself, she knew that he was in so much pain. This wasn't one of those things that would simply roll off a guy like him, he was compassionate about his girls...or well he did seem that way towards Mariella. She smiled at the feel of his hand squeezing hers lightly, nodding her head slowly. She would definitely stay here for him, she'd wait even though it really wasn't her style. She cared for him and would comfort him after this whole situation, she would do her best to make him feel better...
Mariella watched him run from the Owlery, slowly making her way to the window that allowed the birds to run free and deliver their parcels. Curiosity ran through her as she saw him stop, and begin talking to absolutely no one...What was he doing? Mariella pulled her wand from her pant pocket, swishing it slightly and casting a charm to allow her to listen to him. A small smirk graced her lips as she began to pick up the conversation. 'I just hope I haven’t hurt you permanently. There are good guys out there…I’m just…not one of them… Don’t let my mistake damage any relationship you have later…' Mariella sighed softly, her head shaking slowly. She knew that he was sorry for this whole thing, biting her lip gently. He sounded so pitiful, she just wanted to hug him close and make him feel better. Yes, it was a soft action but his pain in her eyes was her pain.
She was surprised as Anette exposed herself, eyes widening slightly. Mariella could see the girl shaking, the anger and spite in her words and in her body actions slightly frightening. She looked between the two, flinching at her actions. The way she was acting now, she would be a perfect Slytherin, the cold demeanor she as giving off and the anger that was simply flashing about her...It was quite amazing. Mariella froze slightly as she saw the bitter stare that came her way, not quite sure if their gaze ever actually met. Mariella flinched at her words, feeling slightly hurt by them. She was more than just that to him, she wasn't just some worthless thing to get what he wanted out of. She was something to him, she was dammit! Mariella had a small frown on her lips, feeling a sudden loathing towards Anette. How dare she not only denounce their relationship but seem to degrade her appearances. Mariella felt no sympathy as the girl began to cry, glaring angrily from the window. If she wanted to be so rude then she really couldn't feel all that bad for her. Mariella smirked, arms crossing over her chest as Anette acknowledged her superiority. Hmph, well at least she was smart enough to know that...
