Just what the title says! Someone takes a canon character and bashes something they did or said. Another person defends that character. It does not necessarily have to be who goes next, just who really likes the bashed character and thinks they can retort what was said about them.
So to start:
Dumbledore manipulated Harry.
Any Dumbledore fans?

Meh, yes and no. *Shrugs* XD
He had Harry's best interests in heart, so it really wasn't a BAD manipulaiton...

Snape was working in memory of his love and ended up helping Harry in the end!

[What I was going to say about Snape : It seems like he's evil, but realistically he's a softie with a huge crush on Lily and a huge grudge on James Potter for getting her (Jealousy at its peak ;3). So, he's dark and sometimes rather hard/strict/demanding......but that doesn't mean he's entirely evil (I mean, really, aren't we all sometimes demanding? and sometimes hard on others?.....
SO. Give the guy a break, he did leave the Death Eaters (or at least, wasn't a "true" supporter of Voldemort))
Ho yes, I'm not saying anything about that except that I totally and completely agree.
Umbridge was/is such a cold, insensitive, uncaring witch (Only, I don't mean "w"itch.... )

She only cares about keeping her job, therefore she is overly good at it. Not to mention she appears to have a crush on her boss and tries too hard to impress him.
[No, I don't like her at all. But it is a reason, after all.]
James Potter is a bully.

I wouldn't call James a bully, per se, but more of a kid in need of attention. He's the kind of person who needs to feel loved. Also, the person he bullied most was Snape, and Snape wasn't exactly kind to Lily for a while there, so of couse James was only defending his interests
Harry Potter is a silly little boy who doesn't do anything but moan about how he doesn't want the responsibility of saving the world. Oh, and how much he misses his parents.

Would you turn out alright if your parents had been murdered while you were a baby, thrown into your horrible aunt and uncle’s care, and suddenly it was your job to go and save the planet from the most evil, diabolical wizard ever to walk the face of the earth who also left a freak’in scar on your forehead?!
No, I didn’t think so.
I blame it on insanity suffered through a rough childhood.
Ronald Weasley is just Harry Potter’s sidekick.

Um. No. Nice try. Sorry.
You are quite wrong, Izzy dearest, and I mean that in the best way possible, of course. ;] Harry needed Ron more than to just "tag along" and be the bumbling side-kick. Ron was an avid chess player, therefore a strategist. While Harry was off in "I've got to save the world"-land, Ron was thinking about what the next move was possibly going to be from the opposite side of the team, therefore keeping the big-headed Boy-Who-Just-Couldn't-Seem-To-Die-Against-All-Freakin'-Odds grounded. While Ron wasn't book smart-- and Harry conveniently had Hermione for that particular necessity --he was a bit more street-smart and savvy when it came to the Magical world. Even brilliant Hermione couldn't put two and two together when it came to Beetle the Bard and the Deathly Hallows. And, hello, dumb-ass Harry would've gotten himself killed if Ron hadn't been there to save him on multiple occasions. Shall I list them off, or are we beginning to see Ron's prominent role in the books as more than just a side-kick?
And, please, that book would have been so boring without Ron's sense of humor. So even if all I just said was a bunch of fluff, just thank your lucky stars that Ron made the book seem a bit more lively.
...you will never be able to get away with insulting my ickle Ronnikins like that. Sorry. ;] Hahaha. Ginny Weasley was the biggest slut in the series. Seriously:
"OMFG, HARRY POTTER!!!11!!1! Oh, he doesn't like me. So I don't like Harry, but I totally do like Harry, but because he's off with Cho I like Dean, now I like some one else, but he wasn't nice enough so I kinda like Harry again, but I'm going to make out with such and such, but really, I truly do love you, Harry!"
Puh-lease.

Ginny was only jealous that Harry liked Cho, and also that every other girl was in love with Harry (or at least his fame) so she was trying to make him jealous in return. I must say her sluttiness worked, since they ended up together and all. Maybe Harry liked it...0_0Anyway...Remus never really loved Tonks.

Yup. He actually really loves Bella.
But seriously, Lupin MUST have loved her otherwise he wouldn’t have married her. He kept saying it was wrong because he could hurt her, but he did it anyways. He luuuuuvs her. <3 And dude, Tonks is great. xD
(Oh yeah, and before I forget, Kiara? I LOVE RONALD! But it was something controversial to post. =P)
Sirius Black was a coward.
Shh, not really. XD

Sirius was not a coward. He fled from the dementors yes. But he was innocent. And wouldn't you! Personally I won't want to have the life sucked out of me with a dementors kiss. Of which he already almost had. Experience it twice?! No way! And Dumbledore wanted him to flee, that's why he told Herminone and Harry to go back and save the hippogrif and Sirius because even he knew.
It's not cowardly to want to live. He sacrificed himself to save Harry too. (Veil, killed by Bellatrix)
(Sorry if I spelled their names wrong)
~~Draco is a suck-up. And most likely spineless. He never had the guts to kill anyone. Especially Dumbledore.~~ (Not that I am complaining. ;D)

That's because Draco was all warm and fuzzy inside, and he and Dumbledore totally had a fling going on behind closed doors.
Haha. Just kidding. Seriously, though, the way I see it was that Draco never really wanted to be a Death Eater. It was all just sort of understood for him. Like, Harry never wanted to be the hero? Draco never wanted to be the villain. He was just sort of sucked into it because of his parents, and that's why he couldn't kill/torture/maim/harm anyone; he didn't really want to. There was no urge to. He just did it to save himself and to please his parents. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd totally suck up to my parents if it meant that I could avoid death.
Harry surviving was a little unrealistic. Seriously-- seventeen year old wizard just happens to defeat the most powerful and feared wizard of all time with minimal help and on a guess? Please. Any other kid would've just been blown to smitherines.
Okay. So perhaps that wasn't a true bash. Hmm. How to rephrase...?
Oh. Okay:
Harry Potter should have freakin' died in the seventh book. Good riddance.
[/b][/blockquote] Hahaha.

Technically, he did die. In all honesty, he was dead for a while and then came back, resisting a real death with the help of Narcissa Malfoy. But I do see what you mean, and I believe you. While Harry surviving was unrealistic, what about those books is? They are kids books about magic, and anything can and will happen. Can you imagine the uproar J.K. would have had to deal with if she had killed Harry?
Rita Skeeter should have been assassinated.

(I can't not say anything about the Harry Potter should be dead thing because honestly the whole dying-and-coming-back thing was so poorly explained. I mean hello, J.K. Rowling obviously wrote herself into a corner and was like 'oh shit how do I explain this'. And I thought the whole Narcissa Malfoy thing was kinda cool but honestly, if you think about it, she didn't really save him because it's already been proven that he couldn't die. So yeah.)
And I don't think Rita should have been assassinated! She was awesome <3 I mean yeah, no kidding she was a total bitch but she added to the story and was funny to have in it as well as being a good trivial enemy for Harry, you know? Because not everyone can relate to having some enemy whose a big powerful evil wizard but almost anyone can relate to having an "enemy" who's a rumor-spreading bitch.
Well actually, I can't... but I still enjoyed it!
Peter Pettigrew was a horrible person and it was a good thing that he died.
Objections, anyone?
