1. Well. You're gone now. Or at least, Rose didn't pick you. That's probably what I like the most about you. That she didn't pick you. That you were obviously enough of an ass that in the end, Rose didn't pick you. Is that not the kinda compliment I'm supposed to be giving? Whoops.

2. You're all talk and no words. You bitched at me but then you're the one that ended up in the Hospital Wing and I haven't seen you since. That's not really a good quality but I like that you have it. But now I'm being told that I'm not really playing this game right so huh...

3. You let Rose move on. There. That's kinda nice. Rose didn't pick you and I don't know where you disappeared to after that or whatever but you could have been a crazy stalker or something and you didn't. So... props for that. Even if it's probably just 'cause you never gave a damn about her in the first place.

4. Okay. You're only gonna get this out of me once and then I'll never say it again but... maybe, just maybe, you might have possibly slightly actually cared about Rose. I doubt it. But maybe you did. And if you did, well, that's a pretty redeeming quality right there. You've got good taste. If you weren't lying all along. Which I'm kinda prone to believing. But who knows. I'll give you "Maybe".

5. There is a very small chance that if you hadn't turned your attention to Rose and I hadn't automatically distrusted you for the sake of my best's friend's best interests and if we'd just met on other terms... I might not have hated you so much. I mean, you're not completely crazy and I've gotten along with worse guys than you. So. Who knows. That's really weird to even imagine though... Yeah, I'm getting creeped out. Okay. That's all.

3. You try to keep people from worrying about you when you think they don't need to.
4. You're upfront about your opinions.
5. Even though you pushed your friends away for a long time, you were able to get your head out of your arse and be Rose's friend again.

You don't judge anyone. It doesn't matter if they're skinny or fat or tall or short or pretty or ugly, and it doesn't matter if they're of a different race or religion or nationality, and it doesn't matter if they have some sort of chronic illness or anything. You just. You accept everyone, you take who they are and you hold it in and you just accept that that's who the person is. Everyone is a person to you, an individual, and not a cliche or a clique, and you treat them that way. You don't discriminate, you look at the person before you decide whether you like them or not, and that's always a changeable opinion anyway because you see positive things in people who can't see it in themselves. And what's more, you want to help them see it. You want people to be the best they can be, you want the most for people. You don't just sit back and go "Oh hmmmmmmm well that person is actually really caring for his friends even though he's a douchebag" and let it be. You get involved. You let them know it's okay to like themselves and be happy. You're not afraid to love people and tell them you love them. Whether it's a friend or family member, guy or girl, if you love someone, you tell them. And that's admirable, not to mention gutsy. Not every bloke can look at his best friend and say "I love you" and mean it. I mean, not that you say it randomly, because that would be a little weird, but you can say it and you wouldn't be embarrassed. You don't worry aboot what others think of you, which gives you this whole level of confidence that just can really help people to trust you and make them feel okay about themselves. Which I know sounds weird because you'd think it would just make people feel shittier about themselves, but that's totally not the case at all. And it's because you accept them for who they are. It can help them accept themselves, too. You care about everyone who enters your life, even if they're not your friend. And finally, you know you're not perfect. I mean, you have flaws, same as everyone. You're not the most intelligent person in school, so you ask for help. You can swear a little too much when you're emotional. You don't know everything about everyone, so you think and ask more questions. Sometimes you can be painfully blunt, so much that the person you're talking to gets hurt, and you feel bad for hurting them but you don't apologise for letting them know the truth if they need to hear it. Honestly, sometimes you don't think aboot or realise the full effect your words and actions can have on someone. But you don't pretend to be some omniscient being. You're not a Legilimens and you know it. But you keep trying, you keep moving forward, you keep being the best person you can be in the hopes that maybe others can do the same. And that's special.

And sixth, please ignore the bias. For all those reasons and so much more, you're probably the best friend a person could hope for. So. So there. Hahaha. *flees*

1. You're an amazing listener. Seriously, you can listen to me babble on and on and on and onnnnn and just interject with a "Hmm" every now and then and I can always tell that you're listening because you're Ian and you're amazing and yes.

2. You're super caring. Like, ridiculously so. You care about everyone and you like helping people out. Even though that makes you a bit of a worry wart and personally I think you worry too much but it just shows how uber sweet and caring you are.

3. You're honest. Like, almost to a fault, maybe. I dunno. You're just suuuper honest. You tell it how it is and I really admire that. But at the same time, you're not trying to hurt anyone. You're too nice to hurt anyone! Hehe.

4. You're comfortable in your own skin. You don't really see that often I guess. You know who you are and that's reaaaaally super admirable. You're real. It's nice.

5. You're reliable. I can always depend on you to be there for me. I love that.
