Do you think Ian doesn't need me as a friend anymore?

What? You're his best friend.
Where's this coming from?

I know that.
Just...nothing. It's not important.

Not exactly. It's okay. I'm fine. How are you?

They're fine.
Why are you worried about Ian? He wants you as his friend. You know that's more important to him than what he "needs".

Imogen sighed. Benjamin was keeping something from her, because this was completely out-of-the-blue, and he was side-stepping around the issue. Something was wrong, and if he continued to keep it to himself, he'd probably go down the path of depression again. And Imogen didn't think she could handle that. I wish you'd be honest with me.

I don't know how to explain it. Words don't often fail me. But sometimes they do.

Well, when you figure it out, you know you can talk to me about it.
Or maybe you should talk to Ian about it.

I don't think he wants to. Talk to me, that is. Something's bothering him and he hasn't told me what.

Have you asked him?
I knew something was wrong with you and you didn't talk to me, so I asked you. Should I not have done that?
