Andromeda has very few friends, but many acquaintances. Polite to everyone, close to no one. Keeps others at an arms length, it is difficult to truly get to know her. However, to those select few who DO happen to close the distance, Andromeda is a very loyal friend, with much to give (and no one to give it to). Almost always willing to lend a hand. Much more insightful than she lets on; and while crying makes her uncomfortable…she’s got a shoulder, or two.

HEART
What’s that? Cut it out, hasn’t she? Honestly, I think Ted Tonks is the one who helps change Andromeda and opens her heart to love&change ANYONE WANT TO PLAY TED? <3 THE BANTER…WOULD BE…EPIC. However, I think there can be other interests as well. Anyone willing to take her on though, better come with everything they’ve got (&more). Not one to lay down her heart (or anything else, for that matter) for just anyone. Not worth anything, if you don't earn it—and the same would go for her-- she would never want anything she didn't earn.

ENEMIES
Neutral. Always on neutral territory; which means that she is not quite on with either side… present, but never there. For those who truly believe in their cause, her lukewarm position will likely definitely be cause for disliking disowning her. A strong personality, it would not be surprising should she clash with another, and as Headgirl—as any leader knows—everyone is always quick to cast stones at those above them (who likes authority, or worse, those who USE it?). Better watch out though—Andromeda hates to lose.

All right do I'm at work for another two hours, so I can't say too much but I'll start on it anyway.

HELLO I'M DIDI AND MY CHARACTERS ARE SLIGHTLY INSANE BUT IT'S GREAT TO HAVE YOU HERE I AM EXCITE.

Mmk so. Right off the bat, I can think of three charries. Gideon Prewett is a fifth year Hufflepuff but he's Andromeda's cousin... Somewhere... Uh his Uncle Ignatius married a Black so there's relation somewhere. I think she intimidates him a little because her sisters kinda do lol. But she's definitely nt terrifying like Bellatrix, so that's good.

Imogen Sauveterre is a fifth year Ravenclaw and she's a prefect. She kinda has a bit in common with Andromeda so there's potential here to work with. I can go into more detail on this later lol no time rn sorry.

Other than that I have Pippin, a sixth year Ravenclaw. Shes actually really weird and would probably like Andromeda quite a bit because shes not boring. AUGH I HAVE MORE TO SAY AND STUFF BUT IM OFF BREAK AND YES I JUST WANTED TO SAY HI WELCOME I WANNA PLOT.

HIII! thank you so much for the welcome (glad i'm not the only new one!) and thanks for replying! <3 i think that these two could go either way, actually-- i really like ambrosia! on one side, i could see them getting along well; not close friends exactly, but i think andromeda would appreciate her gentle&soft spoken side, and would envy her for being such a hopeless romantic--find it refreshing, even. on the other side, i could see their competitive spirits clashing a bit (although being different houses and years they wouldn't have much to compete over per se). it doesn't appear that ambrosia is a rule breaker (?) but if they ever did meet, andromeda has always seemed to me to be a figure of authority. i don't think she would use it needlessly, but i could see potential clashing there as well, depending on the situation. <3 i think either way, threading these two could be interesting!

GIDEON & ANDROMEDA
would be. so much. fun to. thread now. first of all, i love your gideon! i could definitely see him finding her intimidating; and i think she might find him a tad irritating, though overall i think she would rather like him. considering the considerable differences between their families, i'm guessing they didn't have much interaction as children, or maybe even throughout their years at hogwarts. but andromeda IS different from the rest of her family, and i think she would want to talk to gideon and show him that side of her, and perhaps learn a few things from him. i think there's a lot of potential here (for a funny and serious thread...allinone).

IMOGEN & ANDROMEDA
considering they are in the same house imogen is a prefect-- i think these two probably interact a lot. i was reading about her, and she does have a lot of history! very interesting! i could see these two being friends (maybe a big sister/little sister sort of thing?). or maybe i'm on the wrong track completely. these two might be the kind you just have to thread out and see! <3

PIPPIN & ANDROMEDA
first off...the name...is awesome. i think they would get on well, actually (and andromeda would be amused by pippin's awesome personality). they are both inquisitive and want to learn, andromeda is just less vocal and more solitary about it. she would also really envy pippin's creativity, since she always feels so bound by the rules (everything black and white). andromeda is (in most aspects of her life) very decisive, so maybe she helps pippin make decisions sometimes-- helps her weigh the pros and cons. maybe she helps sort of ground pippin sometimes?

Wendy is a Gryffindor sixth year. I... can't see too much with them? Wendy's a social butterfly but she doesn't really grasp the concept of friendship, if you get what I mean. I mean, she has friends. But not really close friends. Partially because she's a bit of a liar, but a clever liar, if that makes sense. She's social enough that they might have crossed paths, but she also has a tendency to avoid purebloods from families such as the Blacks because of the ideals they tend to hold. etc.

I also have Bran, who's a Slytherin sixth year. Bran is extremely shy and awkward, and quite geeky, but he's got a lot of ambition. He wants to be more successful than his classmates, especially since he was a bit bullied. Uhh he gets revenge on people who bully him tho lol. Bran is really, really shy around girls, so he'd probably get all tongue tied with Andromeda, especially since she's of the high and mighty Blacks.

And last but not least I have Fenwick, who's an ex-Gryffindor and new member of the Order of the Phoenix. He's a bit of an ass to eeeeeveryone. He's probably more of an ass to her sisters (esp. Bellatrix what) than to Andromeda, because he respects intelligence and individuality. Dunno if there's anything there, but there you have it.

FABIAN PREWETT: And here I have the older brother to Didi's Gideon, yay! He's closer in age to Andromeda, and he's good friends with Sirius (or at least I think they should get along, depending on who picks up the character, LOL). His best friend is Frank Longbottom. He's recently graduated (former Gryffindor), currently training to be an Auror, and recently recruited into the Order of the Phoenix (secret, shh!). Let's see... He's a pureblood and proud of it, but he doesn't have problems with Muggles or Muggle-borns, and he doesn't think it's right to hurt people over it. Yeah, he and Andromeda probably didn't spend a ton of time together when they were kids, but they are somewhat related through the marriage of Ignatius Prewett and Lucretia Black. Oh, yeah, due to some frightening and tragic events, Fabian is assigned to a patrol every month during the students' Hogsmeade weekends, and he also visits Hogwarts a lot to see his brother and friends, so that's probably when interaction would be most likely to happen.

First we have Calixto (“Cal”) Bailer, 6th year Hufflepuff, pureblood, Chaser on the Quidditch team, and super duper friendly. Like, he’d probably make friends with a window if it was possible. He loves people, but he can be fairly clueless about a lot of things. He’s almost nice to a fault unless he finds out someone’s messed with his friends, then he gets all awkward and upset. I’m not sure how they’d know each other, although like I said, Cal’s really friendly so it’s possible that they do! Whatever you think :]

Daciana Gamp is my 5th year Slytherin. She’s a pureblood cheerleader, hypocritical brat, and a half-in-denial, half-reluctantly-being-driven-crazy-by-her-feelings, wholly closeted lesbian. Yeah. I’m guessing they would at least know/know of each other because they’re both from ‘upper-crust’ pureblood families, but they may just be acquaintances, depending on what you think. Daciana doesn’t really get along with a lot of people…but if you have ideas, let me know! Oh, she additionally theoretically has an older brother (Demarco Gamp) who is also a Slytherin in Andromeda’s year.

And Milie &/or Lena Gunabie. 4th year Gryffindor, keeper on their team, half-blood, crazypants. She had a traumatic experience when she was little, and so she kind of has a split personality. Most of the time she’s “Milie,” but sometimes “Lena” comes out. Annnd both personalities refer to themselves in third person. So. Yeah. I’m not sure how her and Andromeda would know each other either, although Milie and Frank Longbottom are cousins.

So yes, there are my babies! Take them and run! :]

[/color] who's gay and whose life is a mess right now. his parents died over the christmas holidays and he and his boyfriend broke up about a month ago. he's super reserved and super shy and apart from being in the same house i'm not sure what he could do with andromeda. he wouldn't have approached her himself so unless she had to tutor him at some point or something... not sure. but yes.[/ul]

[/color]. basically she's a tomboy, super independent, quidditch-obsessed (she's captain) and doesn't take anything too seriously. she makes pranks all the time and hates pink and anything remotely girly and she's super long-winded and is pretty much the personification of #YOLO. haha. she thinks andromeda needs to have a drink, man, and loosen up a little.[/ul]

I think this has some potential. I could see several routes here. Even though he's really shy, if he is ambitious, he might want to get to know Andromeda since she is one of the 'high and mighty Blacks.' I don't think Andromeda has much taste for bullying, so if she ever saw him being bullied, I think she would intervene. Maybe they would be acquaintances?

Fenwick & Andromeda
Hard to say if they would have ever interacted at Hogwarts (probably not? Unless a bad run in in the hallway or something?). But I think a thread between them at one point could lead to some sort of mutual & grudging respect on both terms. She's used to grumpy people (Black family!What) And can hold her own pretty well without taking it personally, which is why I think they could tolerate one another. Or maybe he would make her really mad and they could have a throw down. I think there's some funny potential here.

Andromeda gets on well with Sirius so she would probably get on well with Fabian (and know Fabian more through Sirius than anything else). Since she's really starting to look at breaking away (even if she doesn't fully realize it yet) she would probably be interested in meeting up with Fabian, and here more about his views and what not. I think they could have a run in at Hogsmeade or even on patrol-- since she and the prefects do their own patrols as well. Maybe a midnight chat?

Haha, I've always wanted Lily and Andromeda to be friends too! Probably not great friends, but I think that's a really good idea. Andromeda would definitely welcome the advice (with a grain of salt). And I think Lily is an excellent example of how muggle borns are NOT inferior, as her parents and many purebloods think. They should meet up for pointers! C:

Definitely interact a lot. Both quieter personalities, so I think they probably stick to the facts and get right to the point, but as you said, I agree that they could probably be pretty good friends. I think she would respect him in a lot of ways; agreed! I think we should explore this one more through a thread <3. I see lots of potential here! Maybe it starts off with prefect business and then they somehow end up getting to know eachother (Idkkk. /Shot).

Kieran & Andromeda
This. Could. Be. Really. Funny. Ithink. Though he would probably irritate her, she would also probably be pretty amused by the whole idea that he was flirting with her (paired with the knowledge that he flirts with everyone). She would not appreciate his reckless attitude and knack to speak before thinking—and would probably lecture him about the finer points of social etiquette (and be pleasantly surprised with his gentleman qualities). I could see some good banter here; and since it isn’t likely she would take the flirting anywhere (but who knows?) maybe they end up as sort of friends… it would be an interesting friendship, if that ever happened.

Alice & Andromeda
I bet they have run in some of the same circles, so they probably know of each other and have spoken. Same sort of thing with Gideon & Fabian—Andromeda is sort of eyeing the other side now, so I think she would be more interested in interacting with Alice, as a pureblood who isn’t a crazy prejudiced maniac. I definitely could see them being partners; Andromda prefers to work alone, and if she had to work with someone, she would want someone intelligent, who she could depend on. Studybuddies!

I think since he’s so friendly and outgoing, they’ve probably bumped into one another a few times; maybe know of each other. I think his genuine and kind attitude would be difficult for Andromeda to be around, and she would envy him, since there is something very crafted about her—she would wish she could have such a free and genuine spirit, and maybe that would draw her to him past just casual run-ins or something, to the point where they have a discussion. Maybe they end up good acquaintances? Or she could find him when he’s all awkward and upset about his friends being messed with.

Daciana & Andromeda
Considering they are both purebloods AND her brother is in Andromeda’s year, I bet they have interacted before and are at least acquaintances! Maybe they end up bonding because Andromeda is half in denial too, hers being over the pureblood supremacy things but it looks like they both have family issues and things they are hiding from said families so maybe there’s something there?

Ooooh that’s really cool—what an interesting character! I don’t even know what Andromeda would say when she hears her referring to herself in third person… she’d be polite, of course, but like… whatthe? xD More of an in the lines girl, Andromeda. I think Andomeda would identify more with Lena—and with Millie, maybe she sees her being a risk taker and tries to mother her a bit.

I love Emmeline, specifically your Emmeline, great job! I think, though I see Andromeda as humble, she would still get a kick out of someone looking up to her and thinking she achieved something (since her family hardly recognizes it), and would therefore definitely want to connect with Emmeline, maybe act as a mentor, if Emmeline sought her out for it. I think she would respect Emmeline and praise her for her achievements; maybe like a big sister sort of thing? And since she’s ditzy, Andromeda would probably want to protect her a little, since Andromeda would see that as a weakness OTL;;.

Haha that’s funny. Andromeda does need a drink. xD Andromeda is basically, at this point, against YOLO haha—though I think that will change some. Overall, I think she would think May is on the wrong track (while secretly resenting her and sometimes wishing she could be more YOLO and not all gloom&doom|responsibility). If she’s pulling pranks, I imagine Andromeda has stepped in a few times; maybe some confrontation there, although I don’t think they would really dislike each other, per se— in fact, I could actually see them as friends once they got to know each other—May could loosen her up and she could ground May – OR maybe they do hate eachother. <3Frank. I think these two would definitely have been friends (and still are, then?) because he has a lot of qualities Andromeda values and I think she could value and respect his opinion (maybe even seek it out when she needs advice). Anyway. Love the idea of them being friends!

That sounds good (has potential to be funny, I think). I don’t think she would feel anyway in particular about him, (I think she has a soft spot for dorky people… since she’s sort of a closet composed dork herself) so I think she would like him. She would probably get annoyed if he tried to take her picture too often, but would understand when it was necessary. Overall I can see them be acquaintances.

Beth & Andromeda
Definitely think they would clash and Andromeda would disapprove greatly of her lifestyle (and her pureblood supremacy attitude although not… vocally at this point). I could see them getting into arguments—Andromeda might try and mother her, or yell at her….orgiveherdetention. Maybe one day they do get into it over pureblood ideals and such.

gideon got along okay with ellie's narcissa when she played her so it's possible he'd be okay with andromeda, despite her being intimidating. that could be something he got over too *shrug*. i could see them having a chat sometime maybe, asking her if it was really important to like/be with/marry a pureblood, cuz normally he doesn't see an issue with it since some of his besties are muggle-born but he also has his own pride with being a pureblood so he's a little undecided on the marriage front - he doesn't think it's wrong in general but he's confused personally lol. idk.

i think we should definitely do some stuff with them. i kinda like the idea of the big sister/little sister, though i'm not sure imogen would be entirely conscious of it? she's a big sister herself but her family is kinda messed up rn so. but yeah, these two should definitely have a thread at some point.

she thanks you. lol. i feel like these two could actually be pretty awesome. andromeda might help keep pippin kinda 'grounded' since she can get wild and crazy sometimes (she has undiagnosed ADHD) and andromeda's kinda calmer-seeming and stuff. pippin's a muggle-born so there might be tension there too? especially since pippin and lucy are holding a rally to raise awareness of the war outside hogwarts and andromeda's family is kinda heavily involved. (the rally thread is an open group thread so if you were interested, feel free to post in it - it's here.)

bran's definitely curious about the black family, but they're all frightening, and girls are hard to talk to in general, lol. i think he'd be a little irritated if she ever interfered when he was being bullied, because it's all 'ooooh a girl had to stand up for you trololol' and he prefers revenge behind the back so idk.

FABIAN & ANDROMEDA: Well, I've been operating under the assumption that Fabian always leaves the castle by curfew, so probably no midnight chat. Owls and daytime chats are good, though . Andromeda's making an appearance at Lucy and Pippin's rally, right? So maybe the rally sparks something in her mind or whatever and she thinks she ought to talk to another pureblood who's different from her family? And oh, look, there's a Fabian conveniently on patrol nearby! ?

Oh, yeah, Andromeda's probably heard that Fabian helped arrest Dante Mulciber back in... November, I think, when the Death Eaters attacked St. Mungo's. So I assume it's pretty obvious that he's against the whole Voldemort thing.
