Alright, fine. Just know that I'm going to be making faces at you from the back of the room until this class is over. You've been given fair warning.

It's like you enjoy being distracting, don't you? Now I don't know about you, but I can't memorize a six-hundred and twenty page textbook so I need to write these notes down.
I would appreciate it if you kept your distracting face to yourself.

You know what? I do enjoy it. I think it's mostly because I am so bored in this class haha. And I think you could memorize it if you really tried- also, if you just believed you could.
That's not true, is it? You like my face, admit it.

Really. The entire textbook.
I don't mind your face when we're not in class attempting to learn about Vanishing spells. Now? Not so much.

Well, it can't be that hard. I did it.
Oh please. I can teach you everything you need to know about that spell. You don't need a stuffy professor to teach it to you.

Did you.
I know it's not that hard, and I can probably teach myself. This is actually my best subject. But we're still in class and it's just common courtesy to pay attention.

Alright, I'll let you pay attention now. But after class you're mine. Meet me in by the quidditch pitch.

(It should be your, by the way.)
And don't even go there. I was confused because of several reasons. One, I don't own a broomstick. Two, I don't fly broomsticks. Three, I don't know how you know that I can't fly.

Okay, you caught me there. I can memorize an entire textbook but when it comes to grammar? Not my strong point.
Don't worry about not owning a broomstick, you can use one of the Slytherin Quidditch Team's brooms. Just don't tell Regulus I let you use it. And I didn't know that you can't fly, I had just never seen you on a broomstick before, but that makes it even better. Now you'll learn how to properly use one- with my amazing teaching abilities, of course.

He'd attempted to learn how to fly once before, not counting those first flying lessons in first year that he obviously didn't remember because of his stupid amnesia. With Lyle. Lyle had gotten him on a broomstick, back before everything happened between them. When Lyle was still himself, happy and smiling and so eager to please, light and cheerful; the one in the memories he cherished and made his stomach churn, still.
Anyway, he'd gotten him on a broomstick; Lyle had straddled it behind him, they'd taken a flight around the pitch and had seen the lake from up above and it had been amazing up there—but that wasn't for right now. It was over. He needed to remember that.
The point was, he hadn't learned how to fly, and he was pretty sure he wasn't going to do it now, either. It didn't matter whose hands were around his waist.
I would really rather not, Isaac. I broke my arm attempting to learn when I was four because my dad wanted me to be a Quidditch player but that hope's been long crushed.
I like my feet on the ground.
I can watch you fly, though, if you really want to get your hands on a broomstick today.

Isaac blinked as he read the note Stefan had sent back. Was it just him, or did the other boy sound a bit harsh with his words? Whatever happened to him the last time he had flown must've been traumatic, and he wasn't so sure of the broken arm excuse. Still, he wrote back with a sigh:
Well, alright. If you really don't want to fly I won't make you. Still, meet me there and we can talk while I practice a little- I need to practice my Keeping skills. I'm a little rusty.
