If Gideon Prewett was a horny jerk, he would've taken Jezebel's all-too-open and easy invitation to sleep together and run with it. But he wasn't a horny jerk, and as beautiful and, well, tempting as Jezebel was, he couldn't say yes and still call himself a good and honourable person. Not when Jezebel believed kissing made storks, who brought babies. Not when she didn't know the truth and all the consequences. Maybe Gideon wasn't the smartest bloke when it came to remembering troll wars or how to brew a potion to cure acne, but he knew right from wrong. And to say yes to her, even when freely offered herself, was wrong.

Jezebel frowned at the two words on the parchment, admittedly a little hurt since she hadn't expected such an abrupt rejection. Did he not find her attractive? She knew she was pretty, enough to gain the attentions of Raiden Rosier and Regulus Black, at least, so she didn't understand why he would say no. Unless he really didn't find her attractive, which was, to say the least, quite mortifying and very disheartening because she sure did find him incredibly handsome.
