M'apologies for interrupting whatever you were doing, but I'm incredibly bored and you were...well, right there. So. Hi!

Completely understandable! I am very familiar with being bored senseless. Especially in this class. I've perfected the glassy-eyed, staring into outer space look. I'm kind of a pro, actually. I try to look like I'm deep in thought but my friends tell me I just look like I'm trying to do long division in my head... But THAT expression is much more pained, I assure you!
You know any good jokes?? Or odd facts?? I like odd facts very much. Especially ones about African wildlife.

Huh. And I totally fell for it, too. Now I feel silly for feeling bad, I thought I was interrupting a very important thought.
Hmm. Well I don't know about odd facts, but I do know that, apparently, on impulse drive, it would take 400,000 years for the Enterprise to cross the galaxy. Oh! Also, a Vulcan's heart is where a human's liver would normally be and beats several hundred times a minute. Isn't that weird?

Don't feel bad! I'm excited it finally looked legitimate for once!
WHAAAAAAAT.
That's MADNESS! I don't know what an Enterprise is (a new broom model? maybe? I don't know how fast brooms can go...) and I don't know what a Vulcan is (maybe some bird/vegetable half-breed by the sound of it?) but that is FREAKY! Both sound like there would be digestion issues involved. The thought of feeling your heartbeat in your stomach gives me the creeps... BLARGH!
Hm, let's see here. Well, kangaroos can't hop backwards! And if you lift up it's tail off the ground, it can't hop. Those will come in handy if you're ever attacked by one!
Oh, and bowtruckles will try to bite your ears off if you go climbing their tree! That one's not so much fact as it is personal experience... but yah.

Maybe it's not. Maybe I'm just super gullible (;
Does no one in this school watch Star Trek? Honestly, I'll have to talk to Professor Burbage about putting it in the curriculum. It's a muggle show. Er. Television? I don't know if you know what that is. Enterprise is a ship, and the Vulcans, or Vulcanians, are an extraterrestrial humanoid species in Star Treck.
Huh. I didn't know that! Why would a kangaroo attack you, though? They seem like lovely creatures in the pictures.
Oh dear, your poor ears.

Ah, yes! I know what a television is! I've seen one a couple of times at my friends' houses! They're hilarious with their little blinking lights and nobs and such! Sort of freaked me out the first time I saw one, though. I want one to play with at home, but my parents don't allow muggle things in the house. As well as dogs. Quite sad, really... Are you allowed your own television??
I think you definitely should bring it up to Burbage though, I'd like to see that very much!
I don't know, things attack me a lot -- completely unprovoked, of course. I think I just have one of those faces.

Your parents don't allow it? That's preposterous! My father adores anything muggle. He works in that department, you know. Sort of. He's always bringing home trinckets and muggle stuff that's been tinkered with. Muggles come up with the darndest things, you know? And, er, you don't exactly play with a TV. You watch it.
Hmm, well we can't bring a television to Hogwarts since muggle things like that don't work here, but I'll definitely mention it to her anyway!
What?! Your face is positively adorable! Who would ever want to harm such a sweet-looking boy such as you?!
