Haha, oh man, can you imagine marrying someone who's already married? Is that even like...legal? I don't think I've ever heard of a man having more than one wife! Or a woman having more than one husband, for that matter.
I didn't exa Not very long at all! I had my friend, Emmeline, with me, so she made things a whole lot easier! What about you? I know some girls who take like weeks to find the perfect dress, I only took an hour or so, really! I don't know if my situation counts thou

Polygamy. It isn't legal, but there are names for it. When a man marries multiple women, it's called polygyny. The wives call themselves "sister-wives" since there's no actual marriage between the women. When a woman marries multiple men, it's polyandry. Or they can all marry each other in a group marriage. In our culture it's not exactly legal, but it's not uncommon among tribes, and there are some religious groups that practice it still, but I can't recall them off the top of my head. I'm not much for religion, so I don't pay it too much mind. So... yeah, it exists. Haha.
Oh, Emmeline Vance? She's fashionable, she'd know things, haha. Well, I dunno, I kinda gave a friend of mine complete control over my wardrobe since I was tired of dressing like a hobo. Guess I'm kinda in the same boat as you, haha, I mean, in that I wasn't in complete charge of what dress I wear.

Oh, wow! That's really interesting! And the wives (or husbands) are really okay with this? Sharing their spouse? I mean, I reckon they'd be jealous. And wouldn't the wife/husband even have enough time to spend with each husband/wife? And, really, why would you have more than one significant other? How do you know about all of this, by the way?
Yeah, she has really amazing taste! Haha, I think we're kind of in the same boat wardrobe-wise, too! My friends think my outfits are pretty awful, too, but I can't afford am too attached to let anyone change it, to be honest.

I guess so. They're all aware of each other. I guess because a lot of them grew up with it? It's part of their culture, so it isn't strange to them. And I think they all live together and the husband just splits his time between them. Or in polyandry, I think most of the time it's when a woman marries guys who are all brothers. Not her brothers, but brothers to each other. It'd be like if you married the Prewetts.
I think your outfits are fine, to be honest. I don't see a problem with them. You look good, so... don't let them change it?

Ohhh, I see. Wow, that's really interesting, though! The fact that it's part of their culture so it's so normal for them, meanwhile it's so weird for me to think about. Then again, I guess if they heard about us only marrying one person, they'd think that was weird, too! And oh wow, geez, I couldn't imagine marrying Gideon and Fabian.
Aww, that's really sweet! I'm glad someone thinks I look good! Thanks, Imogen, you're really nice.

Haha. Yeah, it's weird. But different cultures have all sorts of "weird" stuff, you know? I mean, there are nude beaches in France and other European areas, which is weird to me, to be honest. Then again, with how tiny bikinis are getting, I shouldn't be too surprised. And apparently Americans have a whole different way of measuring temperature and distance and speed, and drive their vehicles on the wrong side of the road and all. I dunno, cultures are just... I'd love to travel when I'm done Hogwarts and see the world, just to experience these things first-hand. Stay in hostels and eat foreign food and yeah... haha, sorry.
Er, no worries? Really though, if you're happy with your clothes, don't change them.

Nude beaches? As in...people just...walk around naked on the beach?! Isn't that kind of...unheigynic...? And I mean...wow, I mean, it must take a lot of confidence to go somewhere like that! I could never imagine me someplace like that. But wow, yeah, other cultures are really cool. Where do you want to travel first, do you think?
Mhm, you're right!

Er... yeah. Some people do it because they're not shy, and others just want an even tan. Haha. Crazy, the lot of them.
I dunno. I don't really want to do the major tourist places. I think I'd rather travel to remote areas, do some backpacking and stuff. India and Africa and other places.

Well. I mean. To each their own, I suppose?
Oooh, wow, India and Africa! That's really cool, I bet not a lot of people would think of going there! You know, you're really cool, Imogen.

Haha, yeah, I guess.
Aw, haha, um, thanks? I guess I just... I want to see the world before I have to settle down in one spot for the rest of my life. I mean, don't you want to know what else is out there, too?

You're welcome! And yeah, I guess that's a good point, but I don't think I'd be able to do it, personally. At least...not alone? I don't know. I'm not very good at being alone, haha. And I'm not talking romantically, even, since I've never even had a boyfriend, but I like being around my friends, you know?

I suppose it is a little dangerous to travel on your own, especially to places you've never been before - even for a witch or wizard. Traveling with a close friend might be all right, so long as, I guess, you wouldn't mind sharing rooms with them at hostels or anything. Or a tent.
Eh, don't beat yourself up about the boyfriend thing. I honestly think there are more important things than dating, especially at this point in our lives. We have so many things to focus on, like careers and OWLs and getting good grades, all those extra-curricular activities, and such. I can't imagine how someone can juggle a functional, developing relationship in there, too, especially when they're not even adults. Besides, I think a person should know themselves, and be happy with who they are, before they can really be happy in a relationship with someone else. Romantically, of course; I don't think a person can know who they are without friends, really. Sorry, sometimes I get carried away.
Long and short of it is: I've never had a boyfriend either. We should start a Singles Club.
... That was a joke.

Oh, I don't think it's really the whole danger aspect (although that's probably an important point, I didn't even think of that), I just figured...well, traveling alone seems rather lonely, don't you think? But yes, I think it'd be uber fun to travel with a friend! Have you ever thought of traveling with someone?
Yeah, I guess. I suppose I just always felt like I'm missing out on something, you know? And it's just...I don't know. I guess I just want to feel...wanted. But anyway. Haha. Yay for being single and thus having more time to focus on studies and what-not!

Yeah, guess it gets lonely. Haven't thought about, really. I guess I figured all my friends would be busy with careers and stuff after Hogwarts.
Yeah, I guess it's nice, if you're ready for it. I jus don't want to date someone because I feel like I have to, you know?

Well, I'm sure there has to be at least one friend who doesn't know exactly what he or she wants to do! And it doesn't have to be a close friend, even. It'd be cool to travel with someone you don't really know that well, you know? Then you guys could get closer on the journey! Wouldn't that be cool?
Of course not! But, I mean, if you like someone, wouldn't you want to be with them?
