Gosh, Lily Evans. If you had told me when I first joined ISS that I would be picking up such a major canon, I would have probably laughed in your face. Seriously. But it happened, and I have her, and I honestly could NOT be happier. I can't tell you how intimidating it was, especially since this was LILY EVANS and who knows what expectations I was facing, and what if people imagined her a different way than I had? What if the fact that she was uber responsible and had a short temper and what-not made her too canon-like? What if, on the flip side, she was too original?! Needless to say, it was stressful, but I managed. It was about...well, almost two years ago, actually. Gunna turn two years this November....wow. I've had this charrie for almost two years, haha. And I don't think I could ever let her go, either. She's absolutely one of my favorite charries. We started out rough, I'll admit, but I think I can confidently say I've finally completely figured her out. Or well. Almost. She still manages to surprise me every now and then, but hey, that's the great thing about having characters like Lily. I've never felt that point where it's like "okay, I've completely figured you out, now it's boring to rp you because there's nothing new". That's a very dangerous point for any charrie, buuut Lily has stuck with me through it all, and I must say I'm very glad because I love this girl right here. She's mah oldest baybeh after all ♥
Currently, Lily is an Order member, and still engaged (frustratingly enough) to James Potter. They were supposed to get married this summer, but there was an attack on their wedding, one in which Lily's parents died. She's still grieving a bit, but she's moved on because she knows they would have wanted her to. Now, along with her Order duties and what-not, she's trying to plan another, smaller wedding, one that, hopefully, won't be so announced and might consist of just her closest friends so that word doesn't get out. All she really wants to do is become Lily Potter, does it really have to be that difficult?
Okay, so it was hard for me to pick an FC for Lily. I wanted someone young, but mature-looking. Pretty, but not ridiculously so. And, of course, a good FC with a good number of shoots and what-not; that's always important, haha. Anyway, she started off as Lindsay Lohan *gag* because she was the best red head. And then one day I stumbled upon Emma Stone. I don't even know how, but I'd suddenly found this beautiful red-head with a good amount of shoots who looked like Lily and who didn't make me cringe at every other picture. I held a poll just in case and it was unanimous, so I went with Emma, and I'm so glad she did. She's an amazing Lily not to mention I'm a huge fan ever since I watched The House Bunny and Zombieland.

I really have no idea why, but Benjamin is probably the most complicated character I have in my head; I STILL haven't totally figured him out lmao. I really didn't think he'd turn out this way when I first made him. I remember he first came to me years ago, I think during the conversation that Fief was telling me about her new character, Juliette Benoit? Or around the time, anyway, because I remember her (and Skarletta) helping me pick a Face Claim and I'd considered Penn Badgley for plottage with Jules, but he was taken (I'm glad I didn't pick him tho *clings to James Lafferty*). But anyway, so he formed. This ridiculously smart character. At first, that was all I knew about him - he was smart and intuitive, he liked observing people and watching them (in a completely non-creepy way, of course) and he was super protective. I knew nothing of his history...for like a couple of seconds. And then it just sort of EXPLODED. At first, I just knew that his parents were dead and he was in an orphanage. And then...I think I was writing the history without any idea where it was going, to be honest. At least, it hadn't fully-fledged, because I remember stopping and going "omg what am I writing" and then I just kept going. His history is definitely one of the most complicated I've written.
Basically, when he was at the orphanage, "strange things" would happen around him - magic, basically. He had no idea what it was, but he would end up hurting the bullies in the orphanage whenever he saw them hurting someone else. One night, he overheard the people who ran the orphanage talking about him, whispering that he was a freak, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back, really. He wouldn't be where he was unwanted. So seven-year-old Benjamin packed up his meager belongings and ran away onto the streets. He realised too late that it was a mistake; at least at the orphanage there was food and shelter. He was picked up by two street rats, Jaime and Penelope, who called themselves Hawk and Penny. They took him under his wing, sort of, and taught him that the only way to survive on the streets is to steal. Hawk taught him the ropes; how to pick pocket when someone was distracted, and Benjamin got better and better at it, and looked up to Hawk as the big brother he never had; he was also completely and utterly head-over-heels in love with Penelope, whom he thought was the most beautiful creature on Earth. Life went as smoothly as it could go when you lived on the streets, until one day they got sloppy while picking someone's pocket and were chased by a trigger-happy police officer - emphasis on the trigger-happy. He was supposedly new because, while he was threateningly brandishing his gun in their direction as he chased them, it went off, and Jaime was the one to get hit. Terrified, the man ran; he didn't want to get in trouble for killing a kid, even if the kid was a street rat.
Benjamin tells his history to very few people; even more so, no one knows that he's always felt guilty, always felt as if it were his fault that Jaime had died. He'd been the one to mess up, after all. He hadn't noticed that the man wasn't properly distracted, hadn't been paying much attention because he'd been so hungry and all he could think about was getting some food in his rumbling stomach. He sometimes suspects that his best friend, Ian, might know, seeing as he was a pretty observant fellow, but he hasn't mentioned it, because Benjamin never talks about it. A few days after the incident, Professor Dumbledore found them; he told Benjamin he was a wizard, and that he was going to stay with a wizard foster family. It was a little hard to believe, but there you have it; Benjamin Burke would finally have a home. It was there that he met his other best friend, Rosalie Ann Darwin, who was also his second crush. He met Ian through Rose, as they were cousins.
Benjamin just got out of a relationship with Jordan Baker, after having discovered feelings for one Imogen Suaveterre when they went skinny dipping together and kissed. They're "taking it slow", though, as it were, since Benjamin is still trying to figure out the full extent of his feelings towards Imogen, and Imogen is just trying to figure stuff out, period. He's also just discovered that he has family in Hogwarts, since Gideon Prewett approached him about a project. Turns out he's related to Gideon and Fabian Prewett, and that his father knew Gideon's mother when they were growing up. Needless to say, he's quite excited at this discovery.
There's no real story to this, lmao. Benjamin has ALWAYS been James Lafferty, courtesy of Skarletta and/or Fief (I can't really remember). I just remember seeing him and going like "YES. THIS IS BENJAMIN AND HE IS MINE I SHALL CALL HIM BENJAMIN AND HE SHALL BE MINE AND HE SHALL BE MY BENJAMIN. Anyhow. Yeah, he's just always been James Lafferty, and I luff him and his eyes and his arms and his tendency to be adorable with babies

Gabby! To be honest, Lea Michele came to me first and then Gabby. I think I was looking around tumblr and I was following lots of people who happened to adore Lea and all I could thing was "gosh she's pretty" and BAM Gabby materialized, and I just adore her. She was nothing like all my other characters, although I did think she was a bit similar to Rose, except not really because Rose is so adorable and innocent and "lalalala rainbows and sunshine" and, while to an extent, Gabby is, too, she's not really as innocent as one would think. She's read one too many racy books for that. Still, she's very naive, and a huge pushover; she just doesn't know how to say 'no' to people, because she immediately feels bad, and she just likes to please everyone around her, even if they are complete strangers. Still, she'd always, always pick a friend over a stranger, even though sometimes it might not seem that way, considering the mistakes she's made in the past. Still, she adores her friends, and would literally do anything for her friends. She's generous to a fault in the sense that she'd give a beggar everything in her purse, even if she did happen to need it (her family is quite poor, and really can't afford much charity, but she honestly can't help herself because they just look so sad!) She's also painfully shy; she spent her first school years back in Mexico being shunned, and had taught herself to be invisible, so much so that she never really learned how to talk to people. It's not as bad anymore, and she's trying to change it, but she doesn't exactly go out of her way to talk to a complete stranger if it's unnecessary. When you get to know her, though, she's a playful spirit and will tease you joke around with you like the best of them.
History-wise, Gabriella lived the first ten years of her life in Mexico. Her mother died when she was six years old of cancer, and she doesn't really remember much about her, except little things like her smile and the way she smelled. When she was ten years old, they moved to England to live with her Aunt after her Uncle left her. Her neighbor, Gideon Prewett, quickly became her first, and best, friend and he helped her learn English and open up a bit, with the occasional help from his big brother, Fabian Prewett. Since then, she's made a few more friends, like Emmeline Vance and Lyle Malarkey. She's had a humongous crush on Severus Snape ever since last year that's only been getting worse; she found him to be quite the excellent potions master, and fantasized about brewing potions with him (and other fantasies that belonged in the books she read, too, that end with her waking up feeling quite flustered). Unfortunately, Gabby seems to have a bit of a knack for getting in trouble, especially this year. Between getting attacked by a werewolf, stupidly agreeing to meet Danny Mulciber and almost getting raped and killed, and doing Paris Parkinson's homework, Gabby has had a lot on her plate this year. She has hope that the year will get better, and not worse, though.
Okay, basically? I ADORE Lea Michele. Gabby came to me before I even saw Glee. This fifteen year old, shy, bouncy girl suddenly popped into my head the first time I saw Lea Michele (I think it was on tumblr), and I was just like "AH. Gabriella." Lea is just so adorable and she's tiny and she's not your classical beauty (plus she can sort of pass off for Mexican methinks) and that was exactly what I wanted for Gabby. I remember there was a few days before I could make her that I was worried someone was going to take Lea Michele and I briefly considered Mila Kunis as a replacement, although she wasn't even CLOSE to what I had in mind, but otherwise she's always been Lea, and will alwaysalwayslaways be Lea.

First thing's first: Jezebel came out COMPLETELY differently from how she started out. I remember talking to Didi and going all "DIDI I HAVE A NEW CHARACTER IN MY HEAD KILLMENOW". I think it was like...what, a year ago? Probably. I also never thought I'd get the opportunity to ever have her, so I was a bit "fdkgjdflkgf omg" when the opportunity DID come up. But anyway. I remember describing her to Didi at first and going "Oh my God, she thinks she lives in a fairy tale, and she has an inner monologue like JD from Scrubs except she has it ALL THE TIME and she's a pureblood and! and! and!" And yeah, so we flailed a bit about her, and then the FC I had had in mind at first was Piper Perabo. At the time, Imogen's Face Claim was Emmanuelle Vaugier and we were all "lol they could be sisters" and that's how Jezebel and Imogen became cousins XD Anyway, basically Jezebel believes that fairy tales exists because they were the only book she was allowed to read. Her mother, Prudence Pryce, was a bit of a wh*re when she was younger, and ended up getting pregnant in her seventh year. She coerced Nathaniel Sauveterre to marry her (thankfully, he was a pureblood, although more well-known in France then here so it wasn't much of a scandal, and they pretended that their first son, Prosper, was premature to make up for the difference in time). To avoid the same thing happening to her daughter, Prudence told Jezebel that, like in fairy tales and cartoons, you can get pregnant from kissing, and told her absolutely nothing about sexual intercourse so that, when the term would come up, Jezebel would think it's something the students in Hogwarts made up.
She found out recently that, no, the activity actually does exist when she asked Raiden Rosier about it; and that's when she found out that it was actually quite a pleasurable activity, and was eager to do it again, which was how she ended up sleeping with Regulus Black. Seeing as Jezebel is so naive and ignorant (thanks to her loving mother), she has no idea that sleeping around is wrong. She's best friends with Anastasia, who's the only person she's told about both Raiden and Regulus, and Anastasia, who does the same thing, never bothered to tell her what it really means to be sleeping around with people; that it's not just a game. Currently, Jezebel is also crushing hard on Gideon Prewett; he's her first crush and she's not all too fond of the feeling, to be honest. Imogen was the one who told her about the symptoms and she finds them to be quite bothersome. She doesn't want to walk around with a boy on her mind much of the time, and she certainly doesn't like feeling jealous over him.
In a nutshell, Jezebel is quite the little weirdo. She's self-centered, but only because she thinks this is her story, and thus the world really does revolve around her. She's incredibly stubborn, and would only believe something if she could prove it herself. She also thinks that, usually, she's right and everyone else is just wrong. She doesn't have very many close friends, but those that she does have, she holds dear to her heart. She likes to go on adventures, and hates anything to do with princesses. She thinks those who are usually the antagonist are more interesting, and that their stories should be told, as well.
I went through a lot of FCs before I found Amber Heard, to be honest. For the longest time, Jezebel was Piper Perabo because, for one thing, I adored her and, for another, she had an uncanny resemblance to Emmanuelle Vaugier, Imogen's old FC. But then Didi changed her FC to Emmy Rossum and, well, I went FC hunting because I was bored. I briefly considered Alison Brie, but Jezebel was all "lol no I'm blonde, but I DO have big boobs". So, I started looking again, and then Fief threw Amber Heard at me, and I just knew that that was Jezebel. I hadn't seen Amber in much, but I thought she was gorgeous, but in her own little way, and she just...fit. So, Jezebel became Amber Heard, and I can't imagine her as anyone else.
- She has osteogenesis (bone disease which makes her bones brittle and fragile)
- She's already gone into the Forbidden Forest twice just this year
- She also summoned the Giant Squid
- She has four older brothers, and their names go in alphabetical order from youngest to oldest: Payton, Peter, Preston and Prosper
- Her owl, Toto, was killed earlier this year by Amycus Carrow
- She's allergic to peanuts, and adores chocolate
- She hates that she'll end up marrying a Pureblood she might not even love, and dislikes the parties and events that they have to attend because she finds them boring
- Her real name is Perdita, but she switched to her second name because she realised the whole Pryce family has "P" names and she wanted to be unique
- She loves swimming
- As much as she insists that she doesn't need a Prince to save her, it's prince-ly type boys that she falls for.
