my name is Didi. and i tend to get really awkward with these things, so bear with me, a'ight? a'ight. my date of birth is november 16, 1989 - yup, i'm an 80s baby and 90s kid. yep, that means i went through the spice girls/backstreet boys phase (phase? what phase?) and had the platform shoes and overalls and everything. this means my childhood was composed of vhs tapes and payphones. trololol i feel so old. i'm canadian through-and-through, born and raised in alberta but currently residing somewhere along the quebec/ontario border. i make dirty jokes and innuendos and have no shame. i have a cat named ezekiel, or izzie for short. he's a purebred abyssinian and he loves me more than anyone. once upon a time, i wanted to be a marine biologist. now i can't imagine doing anything other than writing for the rest of my life. my favourite animal is a horse (i have a special love for marwaris) but a close second is the orca. i love way too many movies to tell you my favourites. sad, i know. as for television shows, i love shameless (us), supernatural, community, game of thrones, misfits, skins (uk), glee, boy meets world, true blood, scrubs, and lost. there are more, but those are my favourites.
i guess if there's anything else you should know about me, i'll add it over time. for now... lol thassit. k bye.

Milo Whittle was my first ever character on ISS, and he was honestly such a sweetheart. He was dyslexic, but fairly intelligent - learning was just hard for him. He was a man of faith, but briefly lost his after the attack on Hogsmeade. Over the summer he fell hard for Melody Steele and they galloped off into the sunset. He also had a pretty epic bromance with Brody O'Connor, a Ravenclaw. They had matching onesies. You can't beat matching onesies.
Chace Maier was my little Gryffindor stud. Well, not quite "stud", but he liked to think he was one. He was reckless and foolhardy, an adrenaline junkie who loved all sports. An injury when he was young left him colourblind, but he can still dream in colour. Chace loved getting into trouble, basically, though he wasn't much of a flirt or anything. Before he was deleted, he was starting a relationship with Hufflepuff fourth-year, Fiona Donnelly. Neither of them know this, but her father once beat the crap out of his father. Yeah, pretty interesting backstory.
Oh, Suzanna Brownell - or Sooz to people who knew her. Another Hufflepuff, this time a seventh year. She was, I believe, the first canon I ever picked up - she would have gone on to marry Amos Diggory. I love this girl, honestly. I didn't really get a good sense of her personality, however, until I watched "Avatar" (because Amos's FC was Sam Worthington). That was when I learned that she was incredibly bold and brazen and loved to smile and do whatever felt good, but as all good Hufflepuffs are, she was extremely loyal to her friends. Honestly, I do love this girl, loads. *squishes her* We had fun.
Oh my god, Sammybear. Sam Raisz is a snobby, narcissistic pureblood Slytherin sixth year. He was raised in the world of wizarding fashion and believes his shit doesn't stink, basically. Over summer he learned (or rather, admitted to himself) that he was attracted to men, but only came out to a select group of people. His best friend since childhood was Victoria MacMillan, but at school he became very friendly with Isadora Ackerman. In fact, she had agreed to "marry him" so that he wouldn't be disowned by his parents. This guy was a snarky, sassy little shit. He was mean to people he liked and worse to people he hated. But honestly, he was kind-of hilarious and so it worked for him and he was really quite fun to play.
Oh jeez. Cornelius Maxwell Montague III, or "Cody" for short. Super-wealthy Muggle-born who was actually related to British royalty. I'd wanted a Ben Barnes charrie for a while, and Cody came to me in a snap. He was artistic and brainy and the very picture of an English gentleman. Unfortunately, I didn't really have a lot of muse for him when I created him on the site, so it didn't really go anywhere. But I do plan on bringing him back someday, if possible, because I love him too much to let him go to waste.
When the Supplemental Character rule came about, I almost jumped at the chance to make Danny Mulciber. I had a character named Danny in my head for a bit. I knew he was big and I knew he was mean. So why not make him a canon and a DE, right? So I did. And for a while it was okay, I mean, he's a scary guy and he did horrible things to people who didn't deserve it. He also slept with Dyon Rosier drunkenly one night and, well, even though he's a pretty big homophobe, I think he was secretly hiding the fact that he really had feelings for Dyon. Anyway, Danny just kept getting darker and darker, and I really didn't like having him in my head because of shit he was doing, so I finished his plots up in the attack at St. Mungo's. He's in Azkaban now. Done. Gone. Poof! Yay.
So, Felix MacGuinness was one of those "experimental" characters, I guess. You know, the one you have in your head so strongly that you just have to make him, and his application comes in a snap, and then you get him on site and... nothing. I think Felix could have been a lot of fun, but I never got a feel for him the way I wanted to. Unfortunately, he had to go, but I miss his sweet face and ginger locks.
Lucius Malfoy and I have had a long, hard struggle. I loved playing this character, as the Malfoys are my favourite family in the series, but Lucius's muse was so difficult that writing for him was a rarity. He wasn't the type to pass notes or send owls, and with threads, I always had to be in the perfect mood to write for him, or nothing would ever come. He and Ellie's Narcissa had amazing chemistry, and they worked well enough together, but... after a while, it got too hard and discouraging to keep him there, collecting dust. Still, it was fun to play such a major canon.
I have to say that Genevieve Sauveterre was not someone I expected to delete. She's Imogen's younger sister, but they're only half-sisters. Vivi is completely different from Imogen, and is in fact a budding psychopath. She knows how to manipulate to suit her needs and how to play the victim. She loves to hurt others for fun, and is especially cruel to the pets of those who piss her off. Deleting Vivi was hard; there wasn't one big reason for it, but a bunch of little ones. Maybe someday she'll be back, but for now, she can enjoy retirement.

ABOUT THE CHARACTER !
Imogen Amy Sauveterre... god, where do I even begin with her. She was my second character on the site, making her my oldest/longest. Shortly after I made Milo, a girl started to form in my head - a shy girl, mostly quiet, but with a wicked sense of humour and a lot of secrets. It took me a while to find out her name (and I didn't learn her middle name till months after I made her) but I knew it was something uncommon. A bit of searching and I stumbled across "Imogen", and it was perfect. I also knew her surname was French and she could speak it fluently. More searching and "Sauveterre" was the perfect fit. (As for "Amy"? I don't even know. It just is.) Her father is a Squib, her mother a Muggle-born, making her a weird version of a half-blood. She has an older brother, Simon, who recently married Angie MacMillan. They have a younger half-sister, Genevieve, as well. Imogen's mother, Florence, has always sort-of resented her daughter; Mathias (Imogen's father) had to be away more often after her birth, which made Florence lonely, and she blamed it on her child. The resentment and distrust lasts even today.
Imogen has an unfortunate little habit of getting into trouble. She's generally nice to most people she meets, but if they're a dick to her or her friends, the gloves come off and the claws come out. She's not afraid to be catty or snarky to "enemies", and this has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. She loves her friends dearly, though, and would die to protect them if she had to. Growing up, she was incredibly repressed, and was never given "The Talk" about the birds and be bees - and never read about it, either. Anything sexual makes her uncomfortable, and she's actually terrified of the act itself; yet that doesn't seem to stop her from snogging half the males of Hogwarts. Okay, sorry, "being snogged by" half the males of Hogwarts. Yeah, she's had a lot of kisses in her life, but never had a boyfriend. However, she expects that to be changing soon.
Originally, Imogen's history was much, much darker - and if you take a look, it's pretty dark already. She once fancied an older boy, Leo Holmes; he was a troubled sort and tried to call her one night 'to talk'. When she refused and hung up, he hanged himself. Imogen still blames herself for it, even though he would have done it either way. But seeing as I was still fairly new and didn't want to scare anyone, I greatly edited her history and took out the darker stuff. I once thought she cut herself, because she had scars and scabs all over her body, but that's not the case. She has something called 'dermatillomania', a skin-picking condition which can be caused by body dysmorphic disorder (which she has to an extent - she knows she's fit, but believes she's ugly and has far more scars than she truly has), impulse control disorder, anxiety, stress, and several other factors. It causes her to be very shy and conscious of her body, and she's ashamed to ever show it off where people can see.
She's a fifth year Ravenclaw, a prefect, and even though Lucius Malfoy is the one running the Hogwarts Herald, the idea came from her (somehow, he stole it). She loves swimming and horseback riding, and with her instabestie, Ian Fleming, runs the Riding Club at Hogwarts. Although she's very interested in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Aurors, she knows she'd be bloody useless in the field, because her emotions have a way of taking over her logic. However, she does have a strong interest in being an Unspeakable and working in the Department of Mysteries; hopefully she doesn't need Divination or Muggle Studies to work there, because she plans on dropping them after OWL year and sticking with the core courses and her three extras. Imogen has a wicked memory, able to recall even small details, which really helped her to coast through her first four years at Hogwarts with high marks. However, she's actually trying this year - and hopefully all O's prove that.
ABOUT THE FACE CLAIM !
You wouldn't believe the struggle I had choosing Emmy Rossum for Imogen's FC, because for over a year she was someone else. I wasn't really an Emmy fan, to be honest, and didn't think she could be Imogen (she's too sweet, I told myself) but then... I saw Shameless. The US version, of course. And Emmy completely blew me away, and everything about her look was just so Imogen that I just... I knew I had to change her. It was hard because I was attached to the other FC and still sorta am, but Emmy is so much more Imogen than I ever believed and I don't regret the change at all. She's beautiful perfect flawless gorgeous etc. and can be sweet, but also a hard-ass. And if you look closely at her features, she has the same (or strikingly similar) imperfections that make Imogen so damn insecure about her appearance.
GOODIES !
Her favourite colour is scarlet. Her birthday is May 3rd, but none of her friends know this. She's had a crush on fellow Ravenclaw Benjamin Burke for over a year, and finally he seems to return her feelings. ... But she also has a crush on Auror-in-training, Fabian Prewett. In total, she's snogged seven guys. She's allergic to cats, and also has a severe peanut allergy. will add to it... Font: Jey Other Links 100 random facts about Imogen. ABOUT THE CHARACTER !
This girl here is Winnifred Eliza Palmer, or "Wendy" for short. She was my fourth character on ISS. Truth-be-told, she was based off an original character I made up for a fanfiction. That girl's name was Wendy Palmer and she had red hair and liked Divination... and that's basically where similarities stopped, and this Wendy took on a life of her own. Wendy is a sixteen-year-old Muggle-born from Greater Manchester. She currently resides on a sheep farm with her Uncle Patrick, Aunt Moira and cousin Christina. Her father, Fredrick, was Patrick's brother. His marriage to Trish (Wendy's mother) was always rocky. The fact that he was an alcoholic didn't help much either. He yelled at his wife and daughter. He threw things. He tried to sober up and failed. But it was during one of his sober moments when he did something Wendy considers completely unforgivable: he tried to kill her. She had come home late from a friend's house and her parents were arguing. There was a bit of a struggle, and suddenly Fredrick's hand was around Wendy's throat, suffocating her. After that, Wendy was in the hospital for days. Fredrick left... and shortly after, so did Trish, saying that she couldn't be a mother to Wendy anymore. Wendy was eight, and has lived with her aunt and uncle ever since, helping to raise the sheep and border collie puppies that her aunt breeds and sells.
Wendy loves to party. She's a social butterfly, but she doesn't have very many best friends. Her first (and for a long time, only) bestie was Lucy Murphy, but lately Ian Fleming is getting quite close. Of course, it helps that she and Ian are seeing each other... hah. Wendy's a very maternal girl, as well, and as much as she loves to party, she'll be more than happy to take care of her friends that may have had a bit too much to drink. She's kind-hearted and is almost never mean to people. Of course, she can get snappy (she is a redhead, after all) with people who push too many buttons. Wendy has good common sense and morals - well, sometimes morals, hah. Anyway, she has a desire to look out for people, and when people get hurt in some way, she gets concerned and tries to help. Honestly, Wendy is a good person deep down inside, and I love her dearly.
Of course, she does have her flaws. She acts confident, and she is about most things, but deep down she's also quite insecure. It's mostly about her intelligence; she knows she's not the smartest student in class, but she completely underestimates how smart she is. If she thinke she's going to fail an essay, she simply won't do it and won't hand it in, because in her mind it's better than handing it in and seeing a shiny red T on it. As well, Wendy lies. She doesn't do it to hurt people, and her lies aren't really big, but they're lies nonetheless. Sometimes she'll be talking and say something, and then a few moments later will realise that the thing she said isn't remotely true. She doesn't know why she does it, either, and it isn't completely uncontrollable. It just... happens. But you can't hate her for it. I mean, look at that face. You can't hate that face.
ABOUT THE FACE CLAIM !
Julie just goes hand-in-hand with Wendy. They literally came to me at the same time. I've thought Julie was adorable ever since her Supernatural stint; then I recognised her on Mad Men, and decided she was the most adorable person in the world and that I needed to use her. Bam, Wendy. Just... there's no other way to explain it. Julie IS Wendy. Wendy IS Julie. Julie has such an innocence to her face, you know? But also some deeper-set maturity. She's absolutely gorgeous without trying to be. And, she's a redhead. Seriously, you can't get much cuter than a redhead. She's spunky, she's cute, she's pretty, she funny, and damn, have you heard this girl sing? She's got some PIPES. Like, oh my god. Julie just... she seems like she's the sweetest person you could ever meet, and she's just so ridiculously Wendy that it's almost unbelievable.
GOODIES !
She lost her virginity at 15 to her neighbour, a Muggle (who still fancies her). None of her friends know why she lives with her aunt and uncle. She has a border collie, Gratis, who had an attitude problem but got rather attached to Wendy. She doesn't like horses. Whoops, she's "allergic" to them. Her dad used to be her hero. She can massage like a boss. Her aunt is New Age-y and taught her all sorts of tricks, like palm reading and tarot cards and the like. more to come... ABOUT THE CHARACTER !
It's hard to believe I've had Gideon for nearly a year now. Where did this year go?! Anyway. Gideon formed sometime around summer last year. I wanted a Cory Monteith character, and I wanted him to be canon and an Order Member, so I checked some lists and found the Prewett brothers - who are Molly Weasley's brothers. Their names stuck out to me, so I looked them up. There was Fabian and Gideon, and they both died in the first war. Hagrid mentioned them in the first book when he said Voldemort killed some of the best witches and wizards around and Moody mentioned them when he showed Harry the photograph of the Order, saying they "died like heroes". Well. I couldn't resist after that. Gideon felt more like a Cory character to me, so I chose Gideon. He's... honestly, when I first came up with him and wrote his app and stuff, he was such a Hufflepuff, but I had no idea how brave he really was back then. Yeah, Hufflepuffs can be brave too, but Gideon totally surprised me.
Gideon is the third and last child of Horatio and Ursula Prewett. He's twelve years younger than Molly and three years younger than Fabian. When he was three, Horatio, an Auror, was killed while on a mission. Gideon doesn't remember his dad much. Since then, Fabian's been the one he looks up to as his role model. Fabian taught him everything: from how to fly a broomstick and play Quidditch to how to shave. Gideon loves his family more than anyone or anything in the world, and to him, family comes first. He would do anything for them, and he knows they'd do anything for him. But he loves his friends, too. When a person befriends Gideon, they gain someone they can fully trust to be there always. He tries his hardest to be a good friend and good person. He, like his brother, wants to be an Auror when he graduates, and he wants to join the Order just like Fabian. He can get a little over-protective, but he always means well. He wants his friends to be safe and he'll do whatever he can to ensure that they are. His best friend is Gabriella Rivera, a fellow Hufflepuff. She's a Muggle-born, but he's known her since he was about nine-ish, when she and her father moved next door. She was also his first kiss: when they were ten, they decided to try it just to see what it felt like. But really, they're just besties.
He did date his other best friend, though: Emmeline Vance. Things were going well between them until a "love confession" from Emmeline that Gideon wasn't ready to return. After that, things went in the crapper. They ended up breaking up rather severely, and after a few weeks of moping and loneliness, Gideon decided he was ready to move on. Or is he?
Basically, I love this boy. I do. I didn't really expect to love him so much, but he's such a sweetheart, and he's just so pure and loving, and his relationship with his brother is one of the most fun experiences to write, EVER. I love having a sibling dynamic in RP, and Gideon and Fabian are just perfect. I know that someday, when he joins the Order, he won't be in it long before he and Fabian are killed. And that's going to be one of the hardest things to write, but I'll do my best. They died like heroes, so the least I can do is give him a hero's death, right?
ABOUT THE FACE CLAIM !
Gideon has always, and will always, be Cory Monteith. Just... everything about Cory is Gideon. His height, his boyish face, his eyebrows... everything. Cory was the inspiration for Gideon, really, so there really isn't much else to say. I adore him, he's absolutely nothing short of adorable to me, and I'm just lucky I snagged him before someone else did.
GOODIES !
He and Fabian have rotten luck with Puffskeins. He only has one clear memory of his dad. When he was seven, he nearly drowned. In fact, his heart had stopped beating and he was practically dead until Fabian revived him. Because of this incident, he can see Thestrals (well, he was dead) but he didn't know it until recently. He seems to have a thing for blondes. Font: Rayairregular
