{ A B O U T . T H E . C H A R A C T E R } Name: Aiden Neeson Age: 17 Gender: Male Year: 7th Face Claim: Julien Koulberg
Canon or Original? Original
Facial Properties: Aiden doesn't have any particularly dashing facial characteristics that would make him stand out. No rugged jaw line or high cheekbones to deem him stoic or burly. In fact, his face is made up of mostly slopes and planes. He has a rather oval-shaped face with a long jaw and rounded chin. His mother used to tell him that he had a "sweet face", which drove him mad but was probably due to the fact that he used to have full lips and cheeks (thankfully, the later has since smoothed out). His skin ranges from fair to lightly tanned, depending on how much time he's spent outdoors. Aiden's hair is a deep, raven black that he usually keeps long enough to frame his face but still short enough for him to be able to push it out of his eyes when he's on the pitch or swimming. His eyebrows are thick and the right one has a streak of a scar running through it. His eye are wide and a light, electric blue that stand out in contrast to the fringe of full eyelashes. His eyebrows are also very expressive and tend to reveal a great deal about what he's thinking. He has dimples that cut deep into the corners of his lips at the smallest hint of a smile but pull back ruefully when he sneers. Physique: Aiden has a tall frame standing at about 6' but can appear much taller than that when he straightens his back to impose himself upon someone else for whatever reason. Usually, he stands with his shoulders back and down, hands stuffed into his pockets and his hips jutted out. Years of growing up in a well-to-do family has virtually eliminated any bad posture he may have once had. He has a swimmer's build with broad, toned shoulders that taper off into a thin waist. He's strong but instead of having bulging biceps or a neck as thick as a tree trunk, his build is made up of lean and dense muscles. So, while Aiden would probably lose in a wrestling match against one of the larger 7th year boys, he could probably out run most of the students at Hogwarts. He tends to walk with a long stride that considerably slow, but with purpose. He finds people who walk too fast for no reason irritating and likes to project a sense of blase. While of the rest of him is generally well polished, Aiden's hands are rough and calloused, adorned with scars from playing too much quidditch. He also has a scar on his elbow that he thinks resembles that of a star, and another jagged one that runs along the bottom of his left clavicle.
Wand Type: Ash, 13 3/4 inches, Dragon Heart String core, rigid. Wand Expertise: Good for stealth and concealment charms. Patronus: A fox. Boggart: Engulfing fire. Aiden has led a considerably sheltered life and has no real tragedy fall upon him (aside from growing up with a cruel father), so he doesn't fear things such as death or losing a loved one. He doesn't, hoever, like not having control over any given situation. this is why fire scares him. He has no fear of drowning because he is a strong swimmer and any magical beast he could possibly run up against he is confident enough in his wand skills to be able to fend them off. fire is too unpredictable and uncontrollable. Personality: If there were one word to describe Aiden on the most basic of levels, it would be manipulative, though he would not take this as an insult. His personality and how he acts tends to change depending on who he is interacting with and is very good at tricking people into doing or thinking what he wants them to. He can start out as one of the most charming guys you would ever meet, but in a split second, he could turn right around and stab you in the back or toss you aside. To adults, he puts on the very polite and "good guy" persona. He speaks well educated, minds his manners and is always offering them help. This would be an examples of ways he manipulates people. Acting like this lures adults into a false sense of him being responsible and a good boy and works very well on his girlfriends' parents and professors. They assume he is a nice young man who they can trust. Regardless of if he agrees with them or not, Aiden goes out of his way to please adults and professors and avoids doing anything that would make them suspicious of his intentions. you never know when you might need one of them for something later on.
Around guys, Aiden tries to project himself as being a "man's man". In other words, he tries to talk himself up and seem superior and impressive. Because of this, however, Aiden doesn't get along well with quite a lot of guys. They can find him arrogant, cocky and a boastful prick (which isn't entirely far from the truth). He'd much rather have a guy not like him because he's full of himself than thinking he's weak or someone who can be picked on. But because of this demeanor, Aiden tends to get into fights. While there are many guys in the world who are "all talk and no action", this does not apply to Aiden. Even though he's a wizard, Aiden doesn't get into many wand duels. Partly because he isn't very good at hexes and also because when his temper snaps at that point, his focus disappears and he loses it. While most of the time he seems nonchalant and apathetic about things, Aiden has a very short temper. He does try to keep control of it if he's in front of adults, but he has the tendency to lash out if provoked in the blink of an eye. A charming trait he probably picked up from living with his father. He'll go back and forth between two guys and act as though he's on their side and reveal to the other supposed "lies" or insults the other is saying. In the end, the two hate each other but both like Aiden and think they can trust him because he's watching their back.
To girls, he seems playful and charming, which is all part of his manipulation game. He uses body language and sweet-talking skills to play into girl's ego to get them to do what he wants (i.e. getting into their pants). While most guys try to jump straight in for the kill when it comes to girls, Aiden takes his time. The straight forward approach is for desperate and pathetic guys, oh which Aiden is neither. He takes time to let the girl think she's getting to know him and will act according to what he thinks they'll like. If they're sweet and bubbly, he'll turned up the humor and flash her a lot of smiles. If she's more rough around the edges and sarcastic, he'll put on the rebellious and apathetic act. Once it's been long enough for the girl to get interested in him, then Aiden will act as though he's not so the girl ends up chasing after him. While he may flirt with a lot of girls, Aiden rarely has girlfriends and avoids dating two girls at once so that he doesn't get labeled as an untrustworthy guy, regardless of if he actually is. "Relationships" he finds himself getting into don't ever last very long because he's not really interested in falling in love. He likes the hunt way more than the actual catch, so when a girl does fall for him and he gets her, he quickly becomes uninterested.
What these traits all really boil down to is the real driving force behind all of Aiden's actions. He's solely motivated by competition. He will be two faced and pin two guys against one another so they can destroy each other and he can advance on his own. He'll go after a girl because she seems uninterested or because he heard one of the other boys in his class express interest in her. He likes playing quidditch, specifically being a seeker, because he likes to win and get all the glory for it. He studies and gets pretty good grades because he wants to be praised by his professors and beat his classmates. He better in subjects such as Transfigurations, Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts but struggles with Runes, and Potions because they involve math and careful calculations. So, while it may be impossible to peg down exactly who Aiden is or what his personality is like, you can always rely on his competitive spirit to figure out his motives. While he generally comes off on paper as being fake, it isn't always the case. There are a handful of people in the word who can get past this exterior and experience him being compassionate. He just has an odd way of showing in. For example, trying to comfort someone or offer them support makes him a bit uncomfortable, but he will go out of his way to hunt done someone who has done one of his friends wrong and will devote himself to making their life a living hell until he feels as though he's ruined their life sufficiently enough to pay for whatever they've done (like the one time he planted some contraband in the trunk of a fellow dorm mate's and left the Head of House an anonymous tip). He will also use all his powers within the social structure of Hogwarts to turn said person into an outcast. Aiden understands the efficiency of simply kicking someone's ass as payback, but upturning their social life tends to have longer lasting effects.
Likes: + Competition. + Quidditch. + Swimming. + Girls. + Night time. + Taking naps on couches. + Being outside. + Divination. + Sarcasm. + Laughing. Dislikes: – People who stand too close when they're talking to you. – Being told what to do. – Surprises. – People who think they're better than him. – Failing. – Being embarrassed. – People who talk too loud. – Studying (but he'll do it). – His father. – Situations where he doesn't have control.
History: Aiden was born and raised up most of his childhood in a wizarding city outside Paris. His parents, Lucillia and Donovan, were both pureblood wizards who went to Beauxbatons. Their parents were part of the wealthy, high-class wizards in the community and so it only seemed natural for them to betroth their two children. So, the summer after their graduated from Beauxbatons, they were married, much to both their disdain. Lucillia and Donovan had never really known each other during school, so they got married without knowing much about one another. Lucillia was incredibly beautiful with long golden blonde hair that fell in soft, loose curls to her lower back. She had deep, ocean blue eyes, pale cream-colored skin, and pink, full lips. Once Donovan saw Lucillia, he instantly fell in love, or rather in lust, with her. Lucillia, on the other hand, had no feelings for Donovan and did not want to be with him what so ever, but she made the best out of the situation in very untrustworthy ways. Lucillia played into Donovan's little desires and manipulated her husband into thinking she was head over heels for him and only him, but that wasn't the case. While Donovan was out working for the French section of the Ministry of Magic, Lucillia was actually having an affair with his boss, Jacques.
Donovan was completely oblivious to what was going on right in his own house, even with the neighbors whispering about the strange man who came to their estate while he was away, until the enevitable happened. Tried of the façade she had to keep putting on for her husband, Lucillia started acting out and treating Donovan horribly. Every night would end with a fight and Donovan was constantly kicked out of the bedroom and made to sleep in the guest room. This had been going on for three months when the news came. Lucillia was two months pregnant. Donovan was shocked and hurt, but Lucillia just called him an idiot for not realizing it. It was then that Donovan finally broke. He punished his wife and told her he was never letting her out of his sight again. Lucillia tried to fight back, but in the end, Donovan had taken her wand and kept it with him at all times and she simply didn't have the strength to compete with her husband. After finally giving up, it was much easier for Donovan to keep her in check.
Finally, Aiden was born. He had his mother's looks except for his hair. While Lucillia had bright blonde hair and Donovan had red, Aiden had black hair and startling blue eyes. He looked absolutely nothing like Donovan he tried to ignore the fact that Aiden wasn't his son, but he looked more and more like his mother and the subject of her affair as he grew up. Even though Donovan tried to make things go back to normal, or rather the fake bliss he and Lucillia's relationship started out as, it wasn't possible. Lucillia had become a broken woman and taken up drinking, leaving Aiden to be raised by hired help. However, during one of her drunken nights, apparently the two of them had gotten on good terms, if just for a night, because a couple of months later, Lucillia was pregnant again. She managed to hold off drinking during her pregnancy and gave birth to her second son, Lucas. Luke looked like the perfect mesh of both Donovan and Lucillia since he had her light blonde hair and his green eyes, leaving Aiden to stick out like a sore thumb in every family portrait.
Aiden was very young when his brother was born and thus couldn't figure out much on his own. However, when he got old enough to realize what was really going on around him, Aiden grew very bitter towards his father for making his mother so miserable and felt pity for his mum, trying all he could to cheer he up whenever he got the chance. What he hated even more, perhaps, was the fact that Donovan showed an obvious preference for Luke over himself. Donovan spoiled and treated Luke very well and barely even acknowledged Aiden's existence. Aiden began picking on his little brother and grew more and more rebellious against his father until one night, when he was seven years old, Donovan snapped. There was a vicious fight in which Aiden found out that Donovan wasn't really his father (something he'd already been suspicious of for years). It was also that night that Lucillia got the bravery to try to stand up to Donovan again and told him Aiden's real father was none other than his boss. The next week, Donovan moved the family from France, trying to escape their dysfunctional past. They moved to a larger estate in London and Donovan tried to please his wife and lavish her with whatever she wanted, but he couldn't mend the past and she was miserable, as was Aiden. Lucillia wanted to get a divorce, but Donovan wouldn't hear of it and reminded her that a divorced woman was greatly frowned upon in the wealthy wizarding society.
Lucillia couldn't escape, but Aiden was luckier. When he ten years old, he got his acceptance letter from Hogwarts, thus he was able to escape his father's grasp, if only for nine months out of the year. Aiden hated to think of leaving his mum behind, but he had no other choice. He was also glad to finally get away from his little brother who was the every-day reminder of how much Donovan hated him and how he really didn't even fit into his own family. It didn't take long to see that Aiden had inherited his mother's excellent skills in manipulation and his father's short temper. So far, Aiden has had no desire to meet his real father (and apparently it's been vice versa) and is very careful to keep his family's dark past a secret.
Sample Post: Fenrir Greyback was steadily becoming a household name, mostly among wizarding communities. Because of this, Fenrir was having to move his locale much more often and to more obscure, urban settings. Luckily, the muggle police were exceptionally inadequate and had, so far, been reporting his homocides simply as some sort of rogue beast that was on the loose. Obviously, it was easier for the brute of a man to find hiding in muggle cities than in wizarding ones. Not only that, but muggles were much easier prey for him. The advantage of lurking around dark and shady urban cities was that he could pluck off prey here and there, and for the most part, it was just hookers, drugies, or other such people whom wouldn't be missed. It made his job much more easier, but he was growing increasingly more hungry for wizard and children's blood, both of which were scarce in the place he was currently inhabiting.
Luckily for Fenrir, however, tonight he just so happened to stumble across someone mixed with his two favorite types of blood.
Walking into a rather grungy pub, upon his first glance around, Fenrir was unimpressed. The pub was mostly filled up with large, dirty drunkards and a few scantly clad women. A lot of Fenrir's wolfish characteristics and abilities bled into his human state from over-exerting and abusing the beastly power he had. His teeth were sharper than most, his once completely blue eyes were now a silvery-yellow tinge, and his sense of smell was incredibly acute. Once he stepped into the pub -- shoving the door open a bit harder than needed -- he was hit with a wall of old sweat, stale beer, cirgarettes and middle aged male muggles. His lips curled in distaste as his nose scrunched, revealing the alreay deep set wrinkles from snarling on an almost regular basis. They were disgusting creatures, and their less than pleasant aroma, at first, masked that of a certain teenaged wizard.
As his intrusively large frame made its way through the pub, he had to duck his head slightly to avoid it hitting against one of the billiard lights that hung from the ceiling. Making his way straight to the bar, a few of the pub's occupants who were sober enough to notice the 6'6" man turned their attention to him for a moment. He could already catch the sweet scent of fear coming off a couple of them as he leaned onto the counter. He didn't have to wait very long for the bar tender to serve him up a bottle of beer. When he had turned around and leaned the small of his back against the edge of the bar for supprt was when he first caught a breath of another wizard's pressence. Nostrils flaring slightly, his eyes followed the invisible path that floated to a table where he spotted a much younger man than what the rest of the pub seemed to consist of.
A toothy and malicious grin curled along the corners of his mouth, stretching across his elongated teeth. He was definitely a wizard, and a young one at that. Certainly of age already, but not by much. A low chuckle rumbled deep within his chest beneath the white muscle shirt and black leather vest he wore. Unfortunately for Fenrir, but luckily for the boy, it wasn't a fool moon. So, technically, he wouldn't be going into a feeding frenzy tonight, though that was slowly starting to become a non-issue for the vehement werewolf. Decidiing he might as well indulge his sense of smell if he couldn't please his taste buds, Fenrir mad his way over to the lad's table. There was already an exceptionally repulsive muggle man in the seat across from the youth, but Fenrir simply ripped the chair out from underneath him. This caused the man to topple back and spill his drink all over himself, though it appeared he had been doing a fine job of that on his own without Fenrir's help. Spluttering, the man began to object with slurred words, but Fenrir quickly shot him a snarl accompanied by a sharp expell of breath through his nose and the man quickly cut himself off.
Scrapping the wooden legs of the chair against the floor, Fenrir dragged it back to the edge of the table and sat down in it backwards. The backing of the chair stuck up between his tattered jean clad legs and it looked oddly miniscule in comparison to his large frame. The smell from the lad's cigarette agitated his nose, but he'd gotten a bit used to the unfavorable smell from swelling in dank pubs so often. "It's not smart for a lad such as yourself to be in these parts," Fenrir said, his voice a deathly low growl. He was partly referring to the shadier part of the city they were in, but also indirectly implying that he was in a muggle town, not one consisting mostly of wizards, as were his people. Fenrir could sniff out a wizard among muggles, but it was impossible for him to sniff out a pureblood compared to a muggle born; that was done by taste. "You're out of your element, boy," he told him, the corner of his mouth twitching in an ill-humored grin as his vaguely yellow eyes flickered with amusement and hunger. There was no harm in at least messing with the kid if he couldn't at least be able to eat him.
