Face Claims

Hi,
I was thinking about maybe signing up for this site because it looks really cool and I love harry potter but I even had this idea for a character and then I checked the face claim list and every single person I wanted was taken, and not even by real characters.

I just think that maybe you guys could reduce the amount of claims available to each user? I noticed that many users had like fifty claims, and it's just sort of unfair, don't you think? Maybe a suggestion could be to have each character be able to reserve parents and siblings only instead of also 'two other relatives of choice' or something? It would considerably reduce the amount of faces taken, and definitely get this site more members signing up. Or maybe bend the rule so that if somebody wants to take a face that’s claimed, they could ask and make a case for them, and have people vote or something? If the face is not being put into good use, it seems a waste to have it there.

Dear Reese,

Unfortunately, there's no real way we can really control the SFCs. The reason we started it was because people were starting to use the same FC for their parents or siblings in albums and it just looked awkward, so we started the SFC and limited it to two extra SFCs other than parents and siblings. It's not really up to me who the members choose as their extra SFCs. People like to SFC their ex-charries, or new charries they're planning, because they've grown attached to them - I'm guilty of this myself - and there's really nothing I can do about it. What I can do, however - and I will do so right now - is add a note on the Face Claim list that you can PM the members and ask if they wouldn't mind giving up their SFC. I'm sure quite a few will be more than willing.
