ALICE PREWETT[ Seventh | 17 ] I am Head Cheerleader of the squad.
Alice had almost everything to make it on the Gryffindor Quidditch team - she adores Quidditch, she has team spirit, she's loud and thus can easily communicate with her teammates, she's enthusiastic, she's hard-working, et cetera et cetera. The problem? She was missing the one thing ingredient that mattered more than all of the above: actual talent. It was true. Alice was a terrible flier, and hand-eye coordination? Forget it, she had none, and she was more likely to drop the ball than get it through the hoop. Still, she wants to be sort of part of the team, so she decided cheerleading was the next best thing. She's naturally flexible, and she's pretty athletic (or, well, she is now), and she figures this could be her exercise instead of needing to wake up an hour early to jog around the lake - now she gets more sleep and gets to feel like she's a part of the Gryffindor Quidditch team! Plus, the uniform is cute, and cheerleading is fun, and one of her best friends is the Head Cheerleader - all reasons to join up, obviously.
At least, that is until Danielle dropped out of cheerleading and Alice was promoted to Head Cheerleader since she was closest to her and obviously knew all the tactics and moves off by heart since Danielle made her do extra~ practices. Plus, Alice was a natural-born leader and would love to boss people around tell people what to do and have them listen to her and, more often than not, they do.
WENDY PALMER[ Sixth | 16 ]
Wendy Palmer, a cheerleader? Yeah, right. As if she could ever commit to something like this. At least, one would easily think that about Miss Palmer. So why, then, would Wendy make a good addition to the squad? Well, Wendy is convinced that she can do this. She doesn't have much dance experience, but she did take a few years of gymnastics as a child, and has always been a flexible person anyway. While her muscles may not be toned and she can't backflip or anything like that, she does have a great smile, and can show boundless enthusiasm where it's needed. She's incredibly social, and knows how to work a crowd to get energy pumped. That, and Wendy is always open for a good time and looks forward to all sorts of fun; if cheerleading can offer that, then hey, why not?

EMMELINE VANCE[ Fifth | 15 ] I am Head Cheerleader of the squad.
Oh, my God, like, Emme was born to be a cheerleader. She has the spunk, she has the attitude, she has the body, she has it all. Cheerleading, for her, is being the core of the team, the pillar that holds it up and strong, and she wants to be a part of that. Emme was in the cheerleading squad in her muggle school, and she was captain there, too, so the opportunity to be able to do the same at Hogwarts would be the chance of a lifetime for her.
But obviously, being the attention-loving, adoration-seeking girl that she is, being a cheerleader is not enough for her. She needs to be a Head Cheerleader. She wants to organize them, teach them what she knows, lead them - she's a born leader, and she wants to prove herself that way. And this? This would top the cake.
GABRIELLA RIVERA[ Fifth | 15 ]
Well, Gabriella has always adored Quidditch (well, really, she adores flying in general), but she doesn't have the capabilities to try out for the team, so when this opportunity presented itself, it really seemed to be the next best thing. She's naturally a cheerful and encouraging person and she does love to dance (she's not a professional, but she's practiced ballet on her own enough that she's become a decent dancer), so it wasn't exactly a far shot for her to apply for the cheerleading team. Not to mention, her best friend is the captain of the cheerleading team and, even if she didn't want to sign up, she would have anyway because Emme would have forced her, if only because Emmeline would have wanted her to. So, really, it makes sense that she ended up being a Cheerleader, no?
Ambrosia Barret[ Sixth | 16 ]
Obviously Ambrosia is much more suited for being on the Quidditch team, considering how much she loathes being around people who can't stay away from the mirror for more than three seconds. So why is she joining the cheerleading squad? Well, because she slept in too late on the day of Quidditch try-outs, she didn't get the chance to be on the team. Now she's making up for it by joining the next closest thing to being on the field on a broom- being on the field in a skirt. Ugh... However, she doesn't think that cheerleading is just for the wussy girls. No, she actually enjoys the athletic-ness of it all- the throwing people in the air and catching them and the strength that it takes to do flips, backbends and cartwheels.
MICHAELA PETROVA[ Fifth | 15 ]
Mica really enjoys being a part of a team effort, and since she wasn't given the gift of sports, why not cheer on her house from the sidelines? She's noticed she is involved in a lot of solo activities like piano composition and likes the opportunity to spend time with her friends. Michaela knows how to have team spirit, hoot and holler, smile and wave to the audience and do a twirl here and there. Being a part of the cheer team would be a commitment, but it would also be a huge stress relief from school and piano. Besides, her friends are on the team which makes it that much more fun. Ra ra ra! Go Hufflepuffs, go!

DACIANA GAMP[ fifth | 15 ]
Who says cheerleaders are for prissy little girls? The stunts, the lifts, the flying- all intensities that are part of cheerleading. Okay, so maybe they're not zooming around on broomsticks or throwing balls at each other, but they're lifting other people. Throwing them into the air. That takes strength and coordination, both of which Daciana has. She's a cheerleader not because she likes listening to some captain boss her around (that part pisses her off actually), no, she's a cheerleader because she likes that strong, sporty aspect of it. The exercises and the practices provide her body with endorphins and the sort of build that she feels makes her quite attractive. The little dance moves and memorizing of cheers comes naturally to her, making her a solid member of any squad. Daciana likes cheerleading for sure; it has a certain quality that she can easily get on board with. She can even get over being told what to do, so long as Daciana reminds herself that the captain should be viewed as an authority figure and that if she behaves she can continue to don the uniform she holds so dearly. It also doesn't hurt that the uniform commands a sort of respect, which is what drew Daciana to cheerleading in the first place.
SERENA LOVELACE[ Fourth | 14]
Let's get at least one thing clear: Serena Lovelace is not joining the cheerleading squad just because Rita and Cissa and Vivi and Daciana and practically everyone who ever made it into her Book of Perfect People are also cheerleaders. Nope, she wants to do it for her own reasons, of course: being a lady requires that she is graceful and used to being put on display. What better way to prepare for this than to be a cheerleader, engaging in physical activities demanding of elegance and finesse in front of the entire school? Serena wanted to get involved in a project that would benefit her future. The Quidditch team was full and would be totally useless, besides, and she couldn't be a Prefect until next year. Cheerleading was fun and light-hearted and even though Serena meant to take it very seriously she knew that she would have a good time with her friends, anyway. Narcissa, being the Head of the squad, was one of Serena's Perfect People, and being under her leadership Serena would be sure to learn a great many useful things. She will be a studious pupil and improve her standing in the society of the school, for cheerleaders are popular as ever and respected among the rest of the school. Obviously.
